Wags 'n Whiskers - With Love

Whoot Whoot!!! We made it to Friday! It's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers, and this weeks challenge is "with love".  For my card, I chose to use this adorable stamps Bear Hug. She's colored with Copic Markers and then cut out with oval Nestabilities. The heart shaped card was created with the Gypsy and Sweethearts cartrdige, and then cut out on the Expression. The papers are from Nitwit Collections (Luv Bugs) and cardstock is Bazzill. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts 100% silk from Stamp and Create. Papertake Weekly - A cold and frosty morning

Hi friends! I sure hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and with it being January, the challenge is "a cold and frosty morning". We've also got a new sponsor called Robyn's Fetish. This cute snowman is one of their digital images. Too cute!

Details on the card: cardstock is Bazzill, DP is from Nitwit Collections Luv Bugs, the snowman is colored with Copic markers and the snowflakes are from a Cuttlebug die set enhanced with some Stickles and Kaiser flat backed pearls. I also added some machine stitching as well as some faux stitching.

Wags 'n Whiskers - Pin Ups blog hop!!

It's time for the new release of Pin Ups from Wags 'n Whiskers! We're celebrating the new release with a fun blog hop where you'll have lots of chances to win prizes! For my card today, I chose to use this gorgeous Pin Up called Marilyn. I just think she's as cute as can be! She's colored with Copic Markers. Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is Basic Grey, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added a little border of pink hearts that were done using a Martha Stewart border punch. The flourishmade with a Magnolia Doohickey die. The ribbon is 100% silk from May Arts which is available at Stamp and Create.

Sneak peek day two for Wags 'n Whiskers!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today is day two for sneak peeks over at Wags 'n Whiskers! The new release are of gorgeous Pin Ups!!! And I think they make the most fun cards for guys for Valentine's Day which is right around the corner! For todays card, I am featuring the beautiful new Pin Up called Magali.  She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with Nesties.

The various hearts are cut out with heart shaped Nesties and edged with some Chestnut Roan chalk ink, and all the panels are machine stitched. The little tag peaking out from behing the image panel was made using a Mangolia Doohickey die. And of course that beautiful ribbon is 100% silk from May Arts. Wags 'n Whiskers sneak peek day one!

Whew! We made it to Friday!! Today is day one for sneak peeks of a brand new release over at Wags 'n Whiskers! There will be sneak peeks all weekend, and the release will culminate on Monday with a fun blog hop.  I chose to use this cute new pin up girl called August. These are so much fun, and my daughter has already claimed the cards! LOL! 

As I post this, I see that I need to fix the color on her little body suit. I'm afraid I've kind of made her look like she peed herself. That's not the place to have poor blending! LOL! Fun, fun, fun!! An adorable Peggy Loves Vintage image!!

Oh my gosh, as soon as I saw this new image available from Peggy Loves Vintage, I KNEW I had to do something with it right away! It's just WAY too cute! It took me a few minutes to come up with the sentiment for this one. I ended up using this one, but I almost used "but...but.....that's not what I meant when I told you I wanted to get inside your apron!!".  I ended up liking the bronco one better. And what married woman hasn't faced the challenge of  "breaking" their hubby? LMBO!  I simply adore the images that are available at Peggy Loves Vintage! They're just begging to be used on fun cards with fun sentiments!!

And they're unbelievably quick too! You just have to print them out, mat them however you want, and then make your card! Easy peasy!! Make sure you visit and follow her blog too. A very Happy New Year to you my friends!! With it being the 1st, it's time for a new Magnolia-licious DT sketch challenge, and this month, the challenge comes from my unbelievably talented design team sister, Cheryl!! She has issued us a recipe challenge. Here's the recipe:

4 flowers, three different DP, two different Magnolia stamps, and one ribbon. For complete details, please visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog. 

For my card I used this adorable image , #334 Brother and Sister from the Autumn 2010 collection at Magnolia-licious. But it's not in stock right now. Please contact Diana if you're interested in it. For my second image, I used this beautiful Magnolia heart that I stamped the word hugs into. I can't find it either (sigh). Looks like I'm back up to my old antics about using stamps that are out of stock. Some things never change. Sorry about that!! Anyway, if you're interested, please contact Diana at Magnolia-licious. I colored them with Copic markers and Tilda and Edwin were cut out with Nesties. I fussy cut the heart. Everything is popped up off the card base for dimension, and the main panels are machine stitched. I used Martha Stewart punches for the heart border and the flower leaves, and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. The ribbon is May Arts 100% silk (I love this stuff in case you didn't know)  The flowers are from Wild Orchid.

Last Christmas project posted for the year....

Wow!! We're almost to the year 2011! Unbelievable!!! So here is one last post showing you one more Christmas card along with a set of to/from tags. For my card, I used #3058 Jolly Tilda from Magnolia-licious along with the presents which are also a Magnolia stamp but I can't find them in stock right now. If you're interested, please be sure and ask Diana about them. Tilda and the presents are colored with Copic markers, and then I fussy cut and popped them up off the card base for lots of dimension.  You might be able to tell a little better with the next pic.

The background papers are from Nitwit Collections, and the cardstock is Bazzill. I know it almost looks black, but it's a dark green color. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used some Angel Wings Shimmerz on them. The bow is made from May Arts silk ribbon of course and I believe the charm is from the Charm Barn.

Here is a set of to/from tags I made using #3070 Sitting Angel Tilda from the Merry Christmas 2010 collection from Magnolia-licious. Again, it doesn't look like she's in stock right now, but please check with Diana if you are interested.  The box is just a standard jewelry box that I decorated to match the tags. Well...things are getting back to normal now....

My daughter and grandson left this morning to go back home. *sigh* We had so much fun and it is really hard to let them go. But such is life I guess, huh? Just wanted to show you his first grade school pictures. This is what has been keeping me busy for the past couple of weeks... Gotta love the "cheesy" grin in the first one! LOL!!

He's colored with Copic markers.  The papers are some I've had for forever in a Debbie Mumm stack, and thought they were perfect for this adorable lion. The heart border was created using a Martha Stewart border punch and the ribbon is from Stamp and Create. I also colored and cut out another image of him to place on the inside of the card.

Papertake Weekly - Red and Green must NOT be seen!

Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying all the holiday festivities and that you're not stressed out with all the preparations! I'm actually doing pretty well this year. I've decided that I am not going to stress over anything. I'll get done what I can get done, and what will be, will be.  And I'm feeling so much better than  normally do at this time! I'm loving it!  My middle daughter and grandson get here in one week, and I am way beyond ready! We're all soooo excited and can't wait to make Christmas cookies, sing Christmas Carols, watch all the traditional Christmas movies, and everything else! 

With it being Tuesday, it's time for another challenge from Papertake Weekly! This week, Dawny's challenge is to make a holiday card or project, but red and green is not to be seen, and we're sponsored by the fabulous Katharina at Whiff of Joy!  For my card, I used one of the most gorgeous images of Madonna and Child from Peggy Loves Vintage!! It's from one of her newest sets of Christmas cutouts, and it's just so easy to use!! I just printed it out, mounted it on cardstock, and finished up the rest of the card. Sooooo easy!!!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Snowflakes

Happy Friday, friends!!! Today over at Wags 'n Whiskers, the new challenge is to use snowflakes on your project. Pretty appropriate for the season!  So I used snowflakes galore, LOL! I immediately thought of this beautiful fairy, Iris. She actually sits on a mushroom and it putting her hand out to touch a hummingbird. But I knew right away I wanted to sit her on, as well as have her touching, a snowflake. So I colored her with Copic markers, cut her out and propped her up on a snowflake strip from a Martha Stewart punch. The individual snowflake that she's touching is also from Martha Stewart covered in Stickles. The snowflake papers are from Nitwit Collections and the cardstock is Bazzill. That gorgeous May Arts silk ribbon is from Stamp and Create.

Magnolia-licious Design Team Sketch Challenge for December

Hi everyone and welcome to the month of December!!! Can you believe how quick this year is going? It just goes faster and faster every year! Anyway, since it's the first of the month, it's time for a new sketch challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design Team. This month, our challenge was chosen by the fabulous Queen Diana, and she asked us to create a frame using Magnolia stamps and words. Unfortunately, I didn't remember the part about it being Winter or Christmas themed, but I hope it helps that  I used three stamps from the new Merry Christmas 2010 collection.  You can click on the pics to get a better view.

I bought the frame at Michaels and then painted it white using acrylic paint. I then cut the letters out with my Cricut Expression with red Bazzill cardstock with a Black Bazzill cardstock shadow. I used #3070 Sitting Angel Tilda on the left,  #3078 Tilda Wants a Hug on the right, and #3081 Tilda With Hanging Heart for top center.  I think it's quite simple and kind of plain, but I still like the way it looks and think it would make a cute frame to welcome someone into a kitchen or even a shop.  All of the images are currently available right now over at Magnolia-licious!
