Magnolia - licious challenge - Water Water Everywhere

Hey eveyone! Oh my goodness, it's already June 1st!!!! I can't believe how quickly the time goes anymore. Seems like I blink my eyes and the month is over. Kinda scary when ya think about it, ya know??  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design team, and this month our hostess is my friend and wonderfully talented Mindy! And Mindy has challenged us to use water in our project.  So here is what I've come up with for the challenge. Now I have to tell you, as soon as I saw this adorable new Tilda, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with her! Luckily the stamp I wanted to use her with was in the correct direction, and it worked like a charm!

I kept the card very simple, first because the images were so large that I really didn't have any room to add a bunch of embellishments, and really I didn't want to detract from the scene at all. I wanted it to be all about Tilda reeling in poor Edwin. (Is it my imagination or does the look on his face say "oh crap!!") LMBO! Anyway, I used #269 Hooked Tilda along with Dangling Sea Edwin and #600 Boat. They're stamped with Memento ink onto X-Press It cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. Little Edwin is hanging from an anchor in his normal state, so  I just fussy cut him out and away from the anchor. The center cloud is a Magnolia Doohickey die, #30 Flag and Cloud.

Please pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to check out all my DT Sisters fabulous projects, and to see how you can join us in the challenge for a chance to win an awesome prize from Diana at Magnolia-licious! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back here again tomorrow for a new Kraftin' Kimmie challenge! Hugs!

I used one of my older images from Winner Takes It All collection, #3024 Cheerleader Tilda. She's stamped with Memento ink onto Copic X-Press It card and then colored with Copic markers. I layered quite a few different reds and earthtones to get her shirt to match the papers. The papers are from Nitwit Collections (puppy love) matted with Bazzill cardstock, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I've also added a flourish from a Magnolia Doohickey die. Have you checked out all the wonderful dies Diana has in stock over at Magnolia-licious?? She carries Magnolia,  PoppyStamps, Marianne, Cheery Lynn, and Memory Box too!!  So not only can you find the largest selection of Magnolia stamps in North America, but you can also find a glorious selection of dies.

Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps - Sneak Peeks Day Two!!!

Hey everyone! Did you enjoiy all the sneaks yesterday on all the adorable new Lulu images and sentiments?? I hope so! Be sure to check and see if you were the lucky winner of the set!! If you didn't get it this time, don't forget that they'll be available to purchase on Sunday over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!  Well, it's time for day two of the sneak peeks, and today we're showing you sneaks of TWO brand new sets illustrated by the amazing Emilie Goulet!!  This month, Emilie is giving us Bug Buddies 1 and Bug Buddies 2!! FUN! I've chosen to work with two of the images, and both are from Bug Buddies 2.  First up is the bee

I used the Cricut Expression and Wild Card cartridge for the card shape and circles. The papers are Bazzill Cardstock and the polka dot is Nitwit Collections. The fence is a Magnolia Doohickey die and the sentiment (which comes with the stamp set) is on an oval Nestie. That adorable bee was stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers.  The little flowers on the fence are just from a little flower punch with a dab of yellow Viva Decor Pearl pen in the center.

Isn't it fun?  And I liked it so much, I had to do another one with the ladybug!! LOL!

And a little pic showing both of them together...

Now be sure to visit all the Krafty Girls and Guests, you can find the complete list of everyone doing peeks at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog. And be sure to leave some love at every stop, cause the ever generous Kimmie is going to pick TWO random commenters, and each will win one of the Bug Buddies sets!  Now don't forget to pop by tomorrow cause we'll be showing you the previews of the new stamps by Annie Rodrigue! I can't wait for you to see them all!! Hugs!

Time for a Magnolia blog hop featuring Tilda's family

Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Mine went way too fast and I'm ready for another one already. How can two days pass by sooo quickly??!!  Anyway, it's the third Monday in the month, and that means it's BLOG HOP time for the Magnolia-licious Design Team!! This months theme is "Lots of Lucious Lace!" Well, I love lace, and I pretty much took it overboard with this challenge. LOL!  If you've arrived here from my visiting my talented friend and design team sister, Cabio, then you're on the right track. If not, you might want to visit Magnolia-licious Highlites to start at the beginning.  So this is what I've come up with you for today

I chose to use #251 Tilda's Family, which is stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and colored with Copic markers. This image is from the Princes and Princesses Collection available at Magnolia-licious. They are then fussy cut out and the popped up from a circle frame cut with Nestabilities. The DP's are MME matted with Bazzill cardstock. I added lace around circle frame, and also used some to make a flower (although I'm not really sure I like the way it turned out).  I made some paper lace using #23 Magnolia Doohickey Antique Lace die (down the left side), and then topped it off by using the lacey Memory Box Butterflie dies, #70 Darla, and #71 Vivienne. That's right! You can not only find the largest selection of Magnolia stamps at the best price at Magnolia-licious, but you can also find an amazing array of fabulous dies as well!! Diana always offers the best prices with the best service!!!

All layers are machine stitched and several are popped up for dimension. I added a bow made with May Arts silk ribbon and the Bow Easy. Here's a nice close up of that gorgeous butterfly!

So that's it for me today. It's now time for you to move on to visit the fabulously talented Ruby! I know she's got something amazing for you to see! Thanks so much for hopping with us today, and hope you play along with us at Magnolia-licious Highlites for a chance to win an awesome prize from Diana!! Sending you wishes for a wonderful week! Papertake Weekly - Anything goes

Hey everyone! I can't believe it's already Tuesday again, and it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly. Since it's the first Tuesday of the month, we are being sponsored by none other than Lili of the Valley, and our challenge is anything goes with an option of going monotone. And as you can tell, I chose not to do the option this week. Here is what I've come up with for you. (this is my April class card - so if you're in Reno, I'd love to see you in class!)

I used this irresistable #3059 Tilda in Ballet Shoes from the fabulous Princes and Princesses Collection which is available at Magnolia-licious! Does it get any cuter than her? I don't think so! LOL! I love everything about her! She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. She's then cut out with circle and petite scalloped circle Nestabilities.

The papers are Graphic 45 matted with Bazzill cardstock. I used a Martha Stewart butterfly border punch, and then I used a couple of dies:  The flourish is a Magnolia Doohickey die, and the butterfly  is Memory Box #70 Darla Butterfly and #71 Vivienne Butterfly. The bow was made usuing May Arts silk ribbon, and the rose in the butterfly is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added three ice green adhesive pearls and lots of machine stitching, and this one was finished.

Please pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all my talented teamies creations for you today, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious Blog Easter Bunny Hop!!

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you're well rested up and ready to hop around like the Easter Bunny! It's the third Monday of the month, and that means it's time for the Magnolia-licious Design Team Blog Hop! This month our theme is The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town, and we're supposed to make projects that can hold Easter Eggs and/or treats. Now you should have arrived here from my talented friend and Design Team Sister, Barb. If not, then you'll want to start at the Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog so you don't miss a thing!

My project today was a lot of fun to make. I started with this beautiful image #363 Tilda and her Bunny from Magnolia-licious. She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cyrogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers and cut out with circle Nestabilities. I kept the card very simple as I wanted all the focus on this beautiful Magnolia image. The papers are Nitwit Collections matted with Bazzill cardstock. The layers are machine stitched, and the image layer is popped up, then the fence is double popped.

The fence and flourish are both Magnolia Doohickey Dies which I love and use all the time. If you haven't been by to see the awesome selection of dies available at Magnolia-licious, then you're missing out! Diana has an awesome selection with amazing service and prices!!!  Next up is the treat box which was cut with the Cricut Expression and the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge. It was pretty hard to get a good pic of it with everything in focus.

It's sooooo stinkin' CUTE!!! I'm dying that I don't have a little girl to give this to on Easter (but I think I have a couple big girls that will love it)! I decorated it with paper from Nitwit Collections, the Magnolia Doohickey fence die, and some grass that was cut with the Expression and Zoo Balloo cartridge.

I used an old Basic Grey brad for the doorknob, and again used #363 Tilda with her Easter Bunny.

So that's it for me today. It's time to head over to see my friend Mindy, and the gorgeous creation she came up with for your pleasure today. Then please hop over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to see how you can play along for a fantastic prize from Magnolia-licious. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon. Hugs!

She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers.  The DP's are from We R Memory Keepers Cottontail collection matted with Bazzill cardstock. I added some lace from my stash, and that pretty rose ribbon is a gift from a friend. Papertake Weekly - anything goes

Hey everyone! March weather is always fluctuating so much, and this year is no different. It was 70 deg here today, and tomorrow they're calling for a high of 40 with morning snow. BRRRRR!!!! You can wear shorts one day, and long johns the next! LOL! Anyway, I hope you're having a wonderful start to your week. It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and since this is the first Tuesday of the month, you regular Papertaker's know what that means. It's ANYTHING GOES sponsored by Lili of the Valley. YAY!!! Who doesn't like an "anything goes" challenge? The option for this week is to use shrink plastic on your project. I didn't have any, so that was a "no go" for me, but I'm excited and hoping to see some cool options for shrink plastic!  So anyway, here is my creation for our anything goes challenge.

I totally fell in love with this adorable image, #3084 Wild Tilda from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection over at Magnolia-licious! Is she not the cutest thing west of the Mississippi??!! I'd even say the cutest East of the Mississippi too! LOL! I stamped her out with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and colored her with Copic markers (R80 series and cool grays). She's also available in the mini size as well! How cute would that be to use the mini on the inside sentiment panel?!!  I then cut her out and and popped her up onto a frame cut out with Nestabilities.

The papers are from Nitwit Collections matted with Bazzill cardstock. I also made a vertical strip using a Magnolia Doohickey die. Did you know that Magnolia-licious is carrying all kinds of dies now? She has Magnolia, Marianne, Memory Box, Cheery Lynn, and Poppystamps!!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon with a heart and key charm hanging from it (which were a gift from a wonderful friend - THANK YOU!!)

So that's it for me today.  Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly and check out what my talented teamies created for your viewing pleasure today, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Die Cute Special!!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! Hope you're having a fabulous start to your week! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and we're sponsored by The Stamp Fairy. Dawny is asking us to use a die cut and something cute. The Stamp Fairy was nice enough to offer the designers our "something cute" by offering one of their adorable images. I chose to work with this precious image Peapod as she stole my heart.

She's a digital image, so I printed her off and clored her with Copic markers. She's then fussy cut out and popped up. The DP is Nitwits Bumbleberry matted with Bazzill cardstock. I made a frame using a Martha Stewart punch around the page set which is popped up from the card base.

Placed behind her is a mini doily made with a Magnolia Doohickey die. I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts framed with some branches from another Martha Stewart punch. That pretty little butterfly was a gift from a friend (Thank you Linda!!). It's a miniature butterfly die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and the bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon.

The last thing I added were some cream pearls from a pearl pen. The inside is decorated to match the card front.  Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all my amazingly talented teamies gorgeous creations, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
