Batty for you featuring Art Impressions

Are you starting to feel a little bit of the September chill in the air?  Maybe you're starting to get the urge to bake something with pumpkin spice? I love fall season and everything that comes with it. This is my first Halloween card this year, and I had to make it using 5031 Bat Flutter Set! These cards are pretty quick and easy to put together. And when you pull and push the tab, his wings flutter up and down!!  I stamped the images onto Cryogen White cardstock and then colored them up with my Copic markers.  The set comes with dies to cut the pieces out perfectly and also cuts the holes you need to make the Flutter work. All the directions are on the back of the stamp set for your convenience.

To my Bestie Week Two of Shaped Card Challenge at Art Impressions

It's week two of challenge 256 Shaped Cards over at Art Impressions!  The Design Team are all featuring the brand new Work and Play release as well as the brand new Funny Farm release.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE 5112 Hedgehogs Set!!  They are the cutest ever!!! I simply used the AI Double Stitched Hexagon Dies to make this super simple shaped card!! Just score your card base and lay the top of the die just off the top edge of the fold and run it through your die cutting machine. And voila!! You have a shaped card!! I simply cut another piece and glued it on top so the top of the card is stitched as well!

Lookin' Sharp with Art Impressions Hedgehogs Set

Hello AI Fans!!

Oh my gosh, I am totally in love with #5112 Hedgehogs Set!!!  This little cutie pie is just too precious with his pokey quills popping his balloon! This set is now available over at Art Impressions! I used the Banner Double Stitched Dies to make a very easy shaped card to feature this adorable hedgehog! I simply layered up the two largest sizes and then trimmed a mat for the pattern paper with my scissors.

Happy Birthday from the Dog with Art Impressions

Hello AI Fans!! 

Today I've got some cards featuring the fun Dog Mouthful Set. I also used the Flag Double Stitched Dies and the Tag Stitched Dies on my cards. 

This guy is just to cute and fun! I stamped him up multiple times and colored him differently for each one.  After fussy cutting him out, I ran him through my cuttlebug with the die that cuts out his mouth.  Then you can put one of the many choices from the set in his mouth! FUN! I had another colored with the bone, but didn't get the card finished, so I'll have to show him to you at another time.

The dog house is a Silhouette cut file. I used it alone on this card, and then turned it into a shaped card for the next one! It's so easy to do!! The clouds are from Paper Smooches.

Old Age??? HA!! with Art Impressions

My card today features the "oh so fun" Hop Hop Set!!  I absolutely adore this image and I haven't colored it up in years! I figured it was about time to pull it out again! I'm one of those that it doesn't matter to me how old I am. I love having fun and being silly.  If someone wants to think I'm a fool for it, then so be it! LOL! And to me, that's the exact attitude that comes across with this image and sentiment.  The sentiment is F3474 Mature.  The shaped card was created with the Silhouette and the image panel was cut using the Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.  And the sentiment was cut using the Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.

Art Impressions Pig Flutter Set. Wish Big!

Today I've got another Flutter card to show you that I created for summer CHA for Art Impressions. For this one, I created a barn shaped card using my Silhouette. I think it turned out to be really fun! This is 4975 Pig Flutter Set. Don't forget to pick up some extra brads so you can make lots of cards!!  I positioned the Wish Big sentiment so it shows through the upper barn window.  I didn't want my pig to be plain on this card, so I used my Copic multiliner pen to draw some spots on him. Art Impressions new Stackers & Slider Die and week two of challenge #187 Slide on By

It's week two of the new Slide On By Challenge at Art Impressions. We're featuring the adorable new Stackers and they are SO CUTE!!  Today I'm showing you a card I made using the Dog Stackers #4740 and the new Slider Die #4764.

I used the Silhouette Cameo to create the dog house shaped card! I LOVE using my Silhouette for shaped cards!! It takes a little bit of work to get it all together with matted layers and such, but I believe it's totally worth it! After creating the card base with the fun papers, I cut a wavy arrow to point to the pull tab on the slider! For the final finishing touch, I added some wooden heart buttons tied up with some twine. Bells Ring Set from Art Impressions

Happy Weekend and can you believe it's the first of October already? Wow!! Have you seen all the awesome new Shaker Sets that Art Impressions just released? So CUTE and FUN!!! Today I'm featuring the adorable Bells Ring Set! This is just the cutest snowman I think I've ever seen!! And to add another layer of cuteness, I added jingle bells to his little behiney. Could he be any more adorable?

 

 

When I'm using bright colors, I like to shade my white with blue. When I'm using more muted tones in my card, I then turn to my Copic Toner grays to shade the white.
