Papertake Weekly - Needles and Pins

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week Dawny is challenging you to use pins/needles and/or sewing. AND we are sponsored by our very own Mary and Andrea from The Ribbon Girl!!! So some lucky person is going to wn an awesome prize (sure wish I could play!!) I chose the sewing option for my card and here is what I've got to show you today.

I used one the Old Hollywood images from Kraftin' Kimmie, and her name is Marilyn. She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. The frame, flourish, sentiment banner, and border were cut with the Silhoette. Papers are Graphic 45 matted with Bzzill cardstock, and the yummy flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment comes with Marilyn.

Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all my teamies amazing creations, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to seem me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs, Sharon

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Good morning friends! Hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly! It's the first Tuesday of the month, so that means it's an "anything goes" challenge and we're sponsored by one of everyone's favorite companies, Lili of the Valley! The option for this challenge is to add a heart to your project.  This is what I came up with.

This is actually my class card for the month of February, so if you're coming to class, this is the card you'll be making.  This adorable image is a Penny Black stamp illistrated by the infamous Mo Manning.  Is she not the sweetest thing??!! She was stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. And I must say that she really was a lot of fun to color. I then fussy cut her out and popped her up from the frame I created with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. The DP is We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tails matted with Bazzill cardstock, and the fence is a Magnolia Doohickey die.  and the heart is from Cheery Lynn Designs. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are yet another Martha Stewart punch edged with some chalk ink for definition. I made the lucious bow using May Arts Silk ribbon and another Wild Orchid Crafts flower. Look at that face...she is so stinkin cute!!!

So that's it for me today! Please be sure to hop over to Papertake Weekly to check out my awesomely talented teammies creations for this challenge. Then we'd love it if  you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us for a chance to win an awesome prize from Lili of the Valley! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

I am submitting this to the following challenges:

Well, it's the first Tuesday of the month, and that means it's a new challenge from Papertake Weekly. We're sponsored by Lili of The Valley, and we have an optional extra of making a card FOR something new (house, baby, year, etc), or USING something new.  For my card, I used one of my new Lili of the Valley stamps.

The image is Milly Cuddle Time colored with Copic markers and then cut out with circle and petite scalloped circle Nestabilities.  The flourish is a Magnolia Doohickey die.  The bow is made with May Arts silk ribbon and the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Papertake Weekly - Christmas Crackers

Hey everyone! It's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! If you're in the states, are you getting ready to stuff yourself as well as that turkey?? I know I sure am! My dear Mom instilled a love of Thanksgiving in me. It was always such a wonderful family Holiday when everyone spent the day together eating and having a fabulous time.  So anyway, onto the reason you're here! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week the challenge is Christmas Crackers sponsored by Digital Delights. Dawny is asking you to make your Christmas favorites, and penguins and snowflakes are a couple of my faves. And so is wishing upon a star. I love helping the grandkids wish upon the first star they see at night.

I do love Christmas penguins, and this little cutie from Wild Rose Studio is one of the cutest!!! LOVE him!! He's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with circle Nesties and framed with petite scalloped Nesties. The papers I used are Basic Grey matted with Bazzill cardstock.  The trees are a stamp from Magnolia-licious, but I don't see them in stock right now.

Peeking out from behind the trees is a strip of snowflakes glittered up with Stickles from a Martha Stewart punch. I also used a MS iccle border punch, also glittered up with Stickles. The large snowflake was cut with my Cricut Expression and Christmas cartridge from Hallmark Scrapbook. There's lots of machine stitching as well.

I took this picture before I added the snowflake strip on the inside of the card. But this shows you a little of the dimension on the card. The bow is made with May Arts silk ribbon and it's centered with a Wild Orchid Crafts flower and yet another Martha Stewart branch punch. So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly and check out all the amazing creations by my teamies, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! If you're celebrating Thanksgiving this week, may you and your family have a wonderful Holiday! Don't forget to wish upon that star!! Hugs!

Hat Bee Birthday

No....you're not seeing double...LOL! I posted a very similar card several weeks ago. I fell in love with this stamp and wanted to create a card for my August Copic coloring class, so this is what I came up with. The bee is from WhipperSnapper stamped onto X Press It Blending card and then colored with Copic markers.

The papers are Garden Party Busy Bee from My LIttle Shoebox and. The reverse side of the bee paper is the yellow zig zag pattern. They are matted with Bazzill cardstock. The flowers were cut using the Cricut Expression and  Gypsy along with the Create a Critter cartridge all from Hallmark Scrapbook. I then added a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts. I curled the edges of the flowers slightly. All the panels are machine stitched. The bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon and Bow Easy from Stamp and Create,  to which I added a yellow button threaded with matching green embroidery thread. The three pearls were done using Sunny Yellow pearl pen.

So that's it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!
