Time for a Blog Hop in PINK!!

This is my second post for today. Scroll down for the BBTB2 post.

YAY!!! It's BLOG HOP TIME!!! We're having a Pretty in Pink blog hop at Magnolia-licious. If you have arrived here from the "oh so talented" Kerry, then you're on the right track. If not, you might want to hop on over to fabulous Claudia's blog where it all begins. The theme of the blog hop is, of course, Pretty In Pink! I love this time of year, cause it allows us to use as much pink and red as we want! LOL! We're allowed to get all gushy and mushy and lovey dovey. *smiles*

I wanted to use one of my older Tildas for todays project, so I picked this adorable Cherry Tilda (I don't see her in stock right now at Magnolia-licious - so if you're interested, just ask Diana) and then went to town with my Pink Copic markers! Of course I had to have a corny Valentine sentiment, so I picked the ruler (#535 ruler) for her to sit on, and then printed out the sentiment from the computer.

I took this cute wood container from M's and decorated it up to match the card. I thought it would be so cute to sit on a crafting desk and hold some smaller tools like tweezers, scissors, rulers, and such. So if you would like to win this set (the card and container with a few little pink goodies inside), just leave a comment under this post before 11:59 PM Saturday night (1/23/10) and I will draw a winner via random.org on Sunday.
Now hop right on over to the fabulously talented Becca to see what delightful project she has come up with for you! And don't forget, if you get lost along the way, just hop right back to Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog for a list of the blog hop participants. When you end up back at the Magnolia-licious Hightlights blog, be sure and get the details for playing along with the challenge for a chance to win a PINKALICIOUS prize!!! Thank you so much for playing along with our hop today. Have fun and good luck!
Don't forget to check out my milestone blog candy HERE if you haven't signed up yet!!

April sketch challenge for Magnolia-licious = Cherry Tilda

It's the beginning of April, which means it's time for another sketch challenge! Each designer takes turns designing a sketch for the monthly challenge, and this month, it was Queen Diana herself that designed this one!
I used three different Magnolia stamps for this card. I used the Old Oak Tree, the old bench, and Cherry Tilda, and colored them up with my Copic markers. The old bench and Tilda are both popped up off the card.

I added lots of machine stitching on this one. The flower button in the ribbon is Daisy D's with a little pink Robin's Nest dew drop in the middle of it. I also added a little Prima flower to the corner of the tag. I really wanted to keep this one nice and simple.

The DP is by DCWV and cardstock is Bazzill. That's pretty much it for this card. We'd love it if you would visit us over at Magnolia-licious and join in on the sketch challenge. Just email your card to Diana at ladydian@shaw.ca and she will upload your card to the April sketch card gallery. If you haven't already, please be sure and join the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group while you're over there visiting Magnolia-licious! Not only will you meet the best people in the world, you will also learn lots, have amazing fun with all of our challenges, swaps, and contests, AND you will get special discount codes and special treats when you order! Join the group for all the details when you're visiting Magnolia-licious! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and have a fabulous Friday!!

Magnolia-licious March sketch challenge by Suzanne Dean

This is my first month as a designer for Magnolia-licious and I'm so excited to join a fabulously talented group of artists. This months challenge sketch was created by Suzanne Dean, and I love it! Suzanne does beautiful work, so do yourself a favor and check out her blog. Then when you're done drooling, grab your paper and glue and play along with the challenge too!

I used the Stylish Tilda from Magnolia-licious and colored her with my Copic markers (available soon at Hallmark Scrapbook). The DP is from Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill.

Tilda is on an oval that I cut out with my Nesties, and I used lots of chalk ink around the edges. The lace is from Melissa Frances, and I'm sorry, but that stick pin has been in my stash for so long and the package is long gone. I have no idea who made that.

Copics used:

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Cherry Tilda on a swing - Hello

I have some really exciting news for you!!! I know a LOT of you have been looking for Magnolia stamps in the US. Well... Hallmark Scrapbook is going to be carrying the stamps along with the Copic markers!!! The prices they are putting on these stamps are the best I've seen yet! Just pop over to HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK, and do a search for Magnolia. (She's still trying to get them set up on their site - or just click on Magnolia). You'll see the prices she's putting on them. It's AWESOME! She's waiting for her order to come in, so keep a close eye out!
For this card I used Cherry Tilda. I don't have the swing yet, so I used one that my wonderful friend Dawny from Pink Piggy sent me!! Thank you again Dawny! I cut out Cherry Tilda and popped her up off the swing stamp. And then chalk inked the background in blue. I colored the stamp with my Copic markers. I'm still amazed at how wonderful these markers are!

I used the Martha Stewart heart border punch, the DP is Scenic Route, and the cardstock is Bazzill except for the blue. I have no idea what that is. Sorry! Also put some Dew Drops down the right edge.
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and I hope to see you back again soon! Have a wonderful Sunday!! HUGS!
