"At least I wore a cardigan!" featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

I'm here with you today to show you the card I created for the Pretty in Pink challenge going on right now on Art Impressions Blog.  I don't know if any of you watch Tik Tok, but a while back, I saw a video where some friends thought it would be really funny to dress up their husbands in matching shirts for a party (without the men knowing about it of course). So while I was thinking about what I wanted to create, I came across my #4474 Old Guys Club Set and the light bulb came on! I just love the grumpy look on these guys, so I thought I might as well give them something to be grumpy about, right? LOL!  I stamped the image onto Cryogen white paper and then colored them us using Copic markers. I made the card super simple by using the largest #5062 Rounded Rectangle Double Stitched Die set.  I simply folded my cardstock in half and then placed the top of the die just above the seam of the fold and ran it through my die cut machine.  Voila - a folded shaped card!  I always cut another full piece of either the same cardstock or the patterned paper I want to use and glue it to the front of the card base.  Doing that hides that flat fold that doesn't have stitching. Then I used the next size down to cut out my image panel. The sentiments were created with my computer and then cut out with some word bubble dies from my stash.

Hope I gave you a little chuckle today! Sometimes we need that on Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a crafty day!

Hot Mess Laugh Lines from Art Impressions!

 Hello AI fans!!

My card today features Hot Mess from the Laugh Lines series at Art Impressions.  It comes with so many amazing sentiments that fit this poor distraught woman!  This reminds me so much of my two daughters that have younger children! LOL! They definitely have these types of days.  And the sentiment I chose to use on this card is so perfect! I have said for years that my hard drive is full, so if I want to save anything else, I have to delete a file first. LOL!  I'm sure many of you can relate.

I stamped her with Memento ink onto cryogen white paper and colored her with Copic markers which are listed below.  I then used AI double stitched circle dies to cut her out. The big scalloped edge was created using a super old punch I have had for so many years. And then of course I added a bow using some May Art ribbon and my Bow Easy tool. The stripe in the chair was achieved simply by using my Copic blender pen. If you're just learning about Copics, the blender pen isn't used at all to blend colors. (I know, right??!!)   I call it my little bull dozer as it actually pushes the color out of the way. So it's very easy to create designs or patterns in an image using it. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today and until next time - stay crafty!!

Just Smile! Hello Kitty card made with the Cricut

Happy Hump Day!!! We're on the downhill slide for this week! I love it! Anyway, the challenge last week over at the Hallmark Scrapbook message board, was to use any kitty Cricut cut. WOOHOO! Another chance to get to use my Hello Kitty cartridge! (Thanks Donna!)

I was in the mood for something bright and sunny, so I used some orange cardstock I had along with some cute Sassafras patterned paper. That red-orange flower is by CK, the button and ribbon are from my stash.

Just Smile is a Peachy Keen stamp and the tiny flower on the balloon is Prima with a little Basic Grey brad in it. I used some chalk ink on my cuts to help give some definition. Have you ever used dew drops? I love those things! That's what I used to just freehand some interest onto my card. Just a little dab of glue holds them in place perfectly!

If you have a cricut, we'd LOVE to have you come join in on our weekly challenges! And if you don't have a Cricut, you really should think about it! I love mine and use it every day! Jody over at Hallmark Scrapbook has the best prices and service on the internet! Go take a peek and check her out! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today! I so appreciate your visits and your comments! Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you soon!! HUGS!
