A new challenge by Bitten By The Bug

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We went Saturday and picked out our tree and it was sooooo cold!! Talk about putting you in the mood for Christmas! Thank goodness they had a nice warm fire in a barrell for us to get warm every once in a while. It was all worth it though, cause we found the most beautiful tree!

Today's Bitten By The Bug challenge is from the sweet and talented Enfys, and she picked the ribbon frame from the Joys of The Season cartrdige. What a pretty frame! I just had to use my new #3008 Sitting Tilda with Candy that I got from Magnolia-licious. Isn't she so pretty?

I thought she looked awesome propped right into that frame. DP is Bo Bunny and cardstock is Bazzil. I stitched around the panels and added a big red bow with a Christmas charm and some red Kaiser pearls. That's it for my card today! Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team!

I also have a couple other things to tell you about. First, we will be celebrating a new release of Wags N Whiskers stamps this week! The sneak peeks of these fabulously adorable stamps will start on Wednesday, and the sneak peeks will culminate on Friday with a blog hop! Please be sure and join us for all the fun and there will be prizes on Friday too!!!

Also, Peggy over at Peggy Loves Vintage has some free gorgeous Christmas tags up on her blog. Just click on the tag, save it to your computer, then print it whatever size you want. They're beautiful! What a wonderfully easy way to dress up a package or gift bag!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Have a fabulous week!! hugs!

BBTB - Cornucopia challenge

Well, the weekend is over and hope you had a fabulous one! And that means it's time to reveal a new challenge for Bitten By The Bug. This week, our hostess is the amazingly talented Donna Mundinger. If you have not visited Donna's blog, you are missing out! This girl is so talented with the Cricut and the Design Studio Software! She constantly amazes the heck out of me!! Well, this week, Donna challenged us to use the Cornucopia from Paper Doll Dress Up. Oh sheesh...the cornucopia...the horn of plenty.....Now.... no offense Donna, but I have always hated cornucopias. LOL! I don't know why, I just don't like them. And had it not been for this challenge, I would never have cut it. Never. LOL! So I did my best, but what can I say. I don't like it. I didn't want to do the typical fruit in it, so I played around a little, and of course the cornucopia represents things being "plentiful". So I wanted to with everyone a season full of love, So I filled mine with hearts.

Now even though I don't like the cornucopia, I have to say though, that I enjoyed the heck out of myself making it! Why?? Because this entire card was made using my brand new Gypsy!!! I'm so excited to have one of these machines that I can hardly stand it! So I've got most of my cartridges loaded onto it, and I am amazed at how much I love this little machine! No more searching through handbooks, no more changing cartridges. This thing is fantastic!!! And it's available right now over at Hallmark Scrapbook! The shaped card and the frames were cut using the Gypsy and A Child's Year cartridge. This is quickly becoming my favorite cart for frames. It's amazing! The hearts were cut using Plantin Schoolbook. The paper used was Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. I got a little irked with the hearts cause I used a coordinating orangish paper from the same pack of Basic Grey, but for some reason, it photographed pinkish, and I could not photoshop it to the true color, no matter what I did. I used some white chalk ink around the edges of the black frames. That's it for this card. Simple, easy, and I'm really glad it's done. LOL! Please be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug to check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the team. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! hugs!

BBTB challenge - sign from Noel Solutions cart

Sure hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I know I sure did, but they go by way too quickly! They always do. But the fun part of Sunday nights is that it's time to reveal a new challenge for Bitten By The Bug. This week, Regina asked us to use this awesome sign from the Christmas Solutions cartridge. I cut it out in shadow with a dark brown and then the regular cut in this chocolate brown. I cut the sign again about an inch smaller and cut out the actual sign part, and ran it through my computer with a digi stamp from The Cutting Cafe'. I popped it up for dimension off of some fabulous Basic Grey paper and added a punched border from a Martha Stewart punch. Added a gingham bow and a couple of silver brads, and this one was done!

Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to see what the other designers came up with for this sign. I haven't seen them yet, cause Regina keeps them a secret from everyone until posting. But I have no doubt you're in for some real eye candy! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!! HUGS!

New Bitten By The Bug challenge plus a Blog Hop!!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was as nice as mine. The weather here was quite warm, but we're getting ready to have Fall drop smack dab into our laps! It was in the 90's this weekend, and by Wednesday, it's going to be a high of like 63 or so. Wow! What a change! Time to pull out the jackets, that's for sure!

So anyway, on to the reason you popped by! It's time to reveal a new Bitten By The Bug challenge and we're also having our monthly blog hop! YAY! Time for FUN! Regina's challenge this week is to use the "priceless" cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. I cut mine with my Expression which I got from Hallmark Scrapbook.com.

I used one of my Tilda's from Magnolia-licious. She is #368 Tilda with bike from the Lazy Summer Days collection. I also used the butterfly background from the Chasing Butterflies collection. I don't see that Diana has that one in stock right now. But I'm sure it will be coming back. The stamps are colored with my Copic markers (pic below - WOOHOO I actually kept them all together and remembered to take a pic!) The PP is by Three bugs in a rug, and the cardstock is Bazzil. The circle and scalloped circles were cut using my Nesties and popped up from the card base. Tilda is double popped. (that sounds funny!) To help soften the graphic feeling of the priceless cut, I punched a small flower, inked the edge just a tad, and then added a Dew Drop to the center.

Now for the fun stuff!! This week I'm giving away a whole bunch of fun! Oh my goodness, I have no idea how many, but there must be hundreds of fun K & Co Halloween die cuts in these baggies of goodness! There's also a package of fun spiders with googly eyes, a roll of purple ribbon with orange dots, and even a bag of miscellaneous charms! (the charms are not Halloween) And I'm not done yet! If you're the winner of my blog candy, I will also purchase your choice of a sheet of cutouts from Peggy Loves Vintage! You can look at them HERE or HERE. You can also see them HERE. If you'd like a chance to win this bundle of spooky goodies (and some not so spooky goodies as well), just leave a comment on this post by midnight Friday night, Oct 2nd. A winner will be chosen next weekend via random.org.

If you arrived here from the amazingly talented Regina's blog, then you're on the right track! She's is the first stop on the hop today. When you're done here, then hop on over to Shelley's blog. There's not a doubt in my mind that she has created something fantabulous for you to look at today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Have fun!!

Bitten By The Bug and Go Kreate

Hi everyone! Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was actually able to craft a little today. Randy took the boys to a fun place today to run and get out a lot of energy, and as soon as they walked out the door, I headed to my desk. I haven't crafted in so long that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to create a thing. This was a very quick attempt to do the new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug. Go Kreate was so kind, and sent the BBTB Designers a die of this adorable Teddy Bear. Isn't he cute??!! I actually cut him out in white and colored him with my Copic markers. Then used a little piece of black paper with the die to cut out his eyes and nose. His mouth I just drew in with my Copic Multi liner. Anyway, the challenge from Regina was to use the square scalloped tag from the Celebrations cartridge. YAY! I love scallops and this square tag is awesome. I cut it out with my Expression which I got from Hallmark Scrapbook.

The paper I used was just from my scrap pile, and I got the flowers from QVC about two to three years ago. I'll never be able to use all those flowers. LOL! Card base is Bazzil cardstock. Please make sure you visit Bitten By The Bug to see how the rest of the designers used this cute Teddy. Also be sure to check out the new contest Regina is going to be having that will be sponsored by Go Kreate!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today! I will be back crafting in full force next week. JJ goes home on Tuesday (insert sad face here). Have a wonderful week! hugs!

Hi everyone! It's Sunday night, which means it's time to reveal the new challenge from Bitten By The Bug! Regina asked us to use the ice cream cone from the Indie Art cartridge. Of course I had to make a shaped card! LOL!
I just HAD to use one of the circle sentiments from Regina's Summer Word Circles set from over at The Cutting Cafe'! They are perfect for any summery card! That yummy ribbon is from The Ribbon Shop! Added a button with some twine from PTI, some stickles, and that just about finished it off!

Please be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug and check out the rest of the fabulous creations by the awesomely taletented Bitten By The Bug design team! And then we'd love it if you would play along with us!

Thinking of you...A new Bitten By The Bug challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you had a fantastic 4th of July weekend! It's Sunday night meaning it's time to reveal a new challenge from Regina over at Bitten By The Bug. This week, she is asking you to use the house cut from the Wild Card cartridge. For those of you with a Cricut that are unfamiliar with the Wild Card cartridge, I must tell you that you are missing out on a lot!

I did the card on blackout and used my DS software to alter the size just a bit. I added a small strip of Martha Stewart border punch to the bottom of the roof, a tree from Pooh and Friends, the picket fence and grass from Garden of words, and the thought blurb and the word "you" from Cuttin Up. I get my Tilda stamps from Magnolia-licious! Diana has a huge selection of Magnolia stamps, and low shipping fees- only $2.50 for orders up to $50.00. Order more than $50.00 and your shipping is free! This is Dreamy Tilda, #321 and is available now over at Magnolia-licious.

Be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug to see what the other very talented designers came up with for this challenge, then grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Don't forget to check out the new contest that's going on over there now, too! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

New Bitten By The Bug challenge plus a Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone! Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend, and that you're ready for the new week! I've got a short week ahead of me since I get Friday off from work. So anywho, it's time for the release of a new challenge from Regina over at Bitten By The Bug. AND, it's time for more fun cause it's another BBTB Blog Hop!!! This week, Regina is asking you to use the Freedom cut fr0m the Graphically Speaking cartridge. Well as soon as I heard what the challenge was, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. So I ran straight to the 4th of July file from The Cutting Cafe'!!!

The card was made by using my DS software with my Cricut Expression, all of which I got from Hallmark Scrapbook. Both the background paper used for the word Freedom, as well as that adorable Uncle Sam hat, is from a set of 4th of July downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe'! AND Regina has a special going on right now, so rush over to The Cutting Cafe' to check it out! If you haven't tried Regina's stamps yet, you are missing out! I easily changed the color of the background stamp with my Printmaster program (thank you so much DeeDee!!!), and also resized them to the exact size I wanted for this card. The hat was colored with my Copic markers. I added some Kaiser rhinestones and a ribbon, and I was done. So now onto the info for the Blog Hop!!

If you like flowers, bling, and pink, then I think you're going to like this little batch of blog candy. It consists of a clear flower flourish stamp from Stampendous, a few Prima flowers, Some gorgeous sparkly glittered hearts by Melissa Frances, a set of self adhesive pearls by Kaiser, and some cool pink trim. If you'd like a chance to win this, just leave a comment on this post by midnight Friday night, July 3rd. I will pull a winner sometime over the weekend, so be sure to check back to see if you are the lucky winner!
After you're done here, be sure to hop right on over to Heather's blog and take in all the eye candy she has to offer you! Heather makes the most amazing layouts and cards! She is just a bundle of talent!
Hope you're having fun on the blog hop! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and I hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

New BBTB Challenge - Flower Pot from Garden of Words

It's Sunday night which means it's time for the release of a new challenge by Regina over at Bitten By The Bug. This week, she asked us to use this cute flower pot from the Garden of Words Cricut cartridge. Can you tell I finally got my Design Studio working on my (used to be) new computer? I'm so happy I can easily make shaped cards again!

And how in the world could I ever make a shaped flowerpot card without adding a cute Tilda with her ladybug? :) I get my Magnolia stamps at Magnolia-licious. Diana has a HUGE selection of Magnolia stamps available, so be sure and pay her a visit to check them all out. She now has the Halloween Tilda's in stock, Tilda with spider web, and Tilda with Spider. They are soooo cute!!!

I LOVE the font in the dowloadable stamp "party time" that I got over that The Cutting Cafe'!!! Regina has the such a large selection of amazing downloadable stamps and cutting files! This one came from a HUGE set called "Extended Family Bithday". And like all of Regina's stamps, they're so versatile and can be used for so many things. Be sure and check out her shop!!

I got my Garden of Words cartridge over at Hallmark Scrapbook who is having a huge cartridge sale going on. I only paid 29.99 for this one. I never would have dreamed the prices for Cricut cartrdiges would ever be so low. Here's a picture of the inside of the card.

Please be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug to check out the rest of the talented designers creations with this cute flower pot. And we'd love it if you would join in and play along with us. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Enjoy the ride - A new Bitten By The Bug challenge

It's Sunday night, and that means it's time to reveal a new challenge from Bitten By The Bug! This was a really fun one for me to make. Regina asked us to use the accessory car from the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge, and to make it in lime green, or any shade of green. How fun is that??!!

I chose to use Bo Bunny's polka dot paper cause I truly love it, and it was in the perfect shade of green. And of course I just had to use orange as an accent color to it! :) I turned the car into a shaped card by using my Design Studio along with my Expression, and cut the base of the card out in black. Then cut the card base out again in the orange citrus color to line the inside as well.

I then stamped Tilda with flower garland in her hair, along with the signpost and colored them with my Copics and then cut them out and attached them to the card. I get my Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious. Diana has an AWESOME selection of Magnolia stamps, and she just got a big shipment in, too!! Be sure to hurry and check it out so you can get your selection before they sell out again!! I attached the signpost so that it looked like it was on the other side of the car. Added some finishing touches, and that was it.

I know this is a terrible picture, but I wanted to show you that it is a shaped card. Here are the copics used for this card.

Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to see what the rest of the insanely talented design team cooked up for this challenge. We'd love it if you joined in and played along. Also, don't forget about the current sketch challenge that's going on. from Shortcuts! Just create your project based on the sketch and use a flower from one of the many Cricut cartridges, and you could win a $20.00 voucher to the Shortcuts on line store!!! Check it out while you're there. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

BBTB challenge - Mini album and gift card holder using SHORTCUTS!

It's Sunday night and time to reveal a new challenge for Bitten By The Bug! This week is really special, cause we're sponsored by the fabulous Shortcuts! If you haven't tried anything from them yet, you're in for a treat! The acetate is really awesome (better than any other I've had) and I am in LOVE with their gift card holders!! They're soooo easy to decorate! This week, they sent us a package of various items and a sketch. I decided to make a mini album out of the sketch. The challenge from Bitten By The Bug was to use the sketch and that cute, ever infamous flower from George. I LOVE this flower!!

If anyone has a lot of experience working with acetate, and knows how to get a smudge (I'm assuming from adhesive) off the acetate, would you please let me know? There's a smudge on the front of the album and it's driving me crazy. I've used my adhesive remover, a baby wipe, and I don't know what else. But I can't get it clean. Help! Someone? Anyone? :) OMGoodness...have you ever tried to overcomplicate something? THANK YOU JEANNIE!! I have a bottle of undu, used it and that ugly old smudge is now history! YAY!!!! THANK YOU!!!

I used Shabby Chic Tilda, Shabby Chic fence, and Little Birds stamps colored with my Copic markers. Please be sure and visit Magnolia-licious for the largest on line selection of Magnolia stamps in North America! She has great prices on her stamps and shipping is only 2.50 for orders up to 50.00, and free beyond that!

The flowers are of course from my George cartridge, and the swirls are a Sizzix die.
Papers are from Doodlebug, Scenic Route, and Core'dinations. I also used my Nesties on the gift card holder. (it's a Christmas themed gift card from Starbucks, but that's all I had right now) LOL!

That's it for today. Please don't forget to visit Shortcuts and try their products! I love them!! Pop over to Bitten By The Bug to check out what the rest of the fabulously talented design team has come up with for this challenge. I guarantee they're AMAZING!! Then grab your paper and glue, and join in on the challenge. Maybe you'll win a gift certificate to Shortcuts!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

A new challenge from Bitten By The Bug and a new BLOG HOP!

Happy Monday everyone. Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend! Monday means it's time for another Bitten By The Bug challenge, and this week we're having a blog hop. YAY! More opportunities for you to win some fun stuff! First things first. The new challenge to you this week is to use the mushroom cut from the Tinker Bell cartridge. What a cute cut! You know I bought this cartridge, and didn't think I'd ever use it. But I'm really glad now I have it! It's got some great cuts on it, not just Tinker Bell and her friends. I got mine from Hallmark Scrapbook.

The DP is Bo Bunny that I've been hoarding. :0) And the cardstock is Bazzill. Isn't that little fairy just the cutest? I went looking for a certain type of fairy to go with my mushroom, and I finally found her. She was exactly what I was looking for. She's a downloadable from Dustin Pike, and I love her! She's colored with my Copic markers.

The sentiment is computer generated and then cut out with my Nestabilities, and the swirl was cut with a Sizzix die and then cut and pieced so they fell where I wanted them. I was trying to portray some "birthday wishes" swirling from her, so I covered them with stickles, along with her wand. Lots of machine stitching on this one, too. I just wanted a very whimsical, cute birthday card for a very special friend that is celebrating her birthday today. *wink* Sorry it's going to be a little late, ladybug!

And finally, this is what is up for grabs right here. There will be an assortment of stamped images, some yummy ribbon, fun buttons, clips, and shaped buttons, and a scrumptious package of Basic Grey glazed brads. Just leave me a comment on this post for a chance to win. You have until midnight June 5th (Friday), and then I will pull a winner via random.org next weekend. Now, whatcha waiting for??? Leave your comment here, and then hop right on over to Kazan to see the fabulous creation she came up with for this challenge, and for even more chances to win some fun stuff!! Good luck and thanks for joining our blog hop today! Hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Diana has the largest on line selection of Magnolia stamps in the US and Canada. Orders under $50 pay only $2.50 for shipping. Over $50, shipping is free!!

I colored the stamps with my copic markers, and the scalloped rectangle was cut with my Nestabilites. This was a really fun challenge. Please be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug to see what the other fabulous designers created. And then grab your paper and glue, and play along with us! Bitten By The Bug Challenge and a blog hop

This blog candy is now closed. Thank you for playing!

Hi everyone! Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend, and now it's to deal with another Monday! There is one bright spot in Monday, and that's because it's time to reveal the new Bitten By The Bug challenge. And this week, we're doing something a little different. We're having a blog hop with some blog candy up for grabs!! Fun stuff, huh??!! So read all the way to the end of this post for details.
This weeks challenge was to use any cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge, but we had to use the border cut. I chose the watermelons, just cause I think they're so darned cute! I like the long cards, but don't make them very often. This challenge was perfect for utilizing that shape.

The paper is Dreamy 2 by My Minds Eye, and the cardstock is Bazzill. I added a bow with a Prima flower and a Making Memories brads, and the book plate was cut with my Fabulous Finds cartridge.
Now for the blog candy details. Be sure and leave a comment on this post for a chance to win this Sizzix die (plus a few other little goodies thrown in). If you don't have a Sizzix machine, you can use it in your Cuttlebug. Just don't use your A plate. Put the Sizzix die with your paper inbetween the two B plates and run it through your Cuttlebug and voila! When you're done here, go visit Nikki Duey's blog. She's got some candy waiting for you too! And be sure and check out her awesome creations while you're there. Nikki's work with the Cricut and papercrafting is just unbelievable! Her work is even featured in the infomercial you see all the time on TV!! Plus she's got some WICKED stamping skills! Can you tell I'm a huge fan?? :) I will use random.org to choose a winner Wednesday evening.
That's it for today! Don't forget to visit Bitten By The Bug and play along with our challenge this week. Thanks for coming by to see me today, and I hope to see you back again soon! HUGS

Bitten By The Bug meets Peggy Loves Vintage!

It's Sunday night, that means it's time to reveal a new challenge for you for Bitten By The Bug! This one not only includes a cut from our fabuluos Cricut machine, it also contains a vintage image from Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy is sponsoring a contest over at Bitten By The Bug. If you love vintage images, I promise you will LOVE Peggy Loves Vintage!

Regina gave us four images to choose from, and asked us to use the image with the lnchbag cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I simply printed the image off my computer in two different sizes. I backed the tag with two scalloped cuts from my Storybook cartridge, one in green and one in blue. I edged the bag with a Martha Stewart border punch and machine stitched around the bag.

For the matching card, I once again cut out a scalloped frame with my Storybook cartridge to mat the image. You are going to be amazed at how quickly you can make up a project with these images. You just print, and embellish! It's amazingly fast and easy! On the card, all I added was some hand doodling around the scalloped frame, and a blue gingham bow. That's it!

Please hop over to Bitten By The Bug to see what the rest of the fabulous design team came up with for this challenge. And then grab your paper and glue and decorate up a lunchbag cut to play along. And don't forget to visit Peggy Loves Vintage to check out her awesome images on cd. She also offers the images via download.
This set will soon be for sale in my etsy shop.
Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!
