Happy BAAAday to Ewe!! Featuring Art Impressions

Hello AI Fans!!

I've got a tag for you today that I made for the Tag You're It Challenge going on right now on the Art Impressions blog! I love making tags, and they elevate a package or gift bag to the absolute next level, don't you think? If you know me, you know how much I love whimsical, bright, fun projects, so that's usually the way I lean when I create. For this tag, I used 5132 Tag Stitched Dies (I cut three of them and glued them together so the tag would be nice and sturdy), 5398 Sheep Set, 5346 Birdhouse Cubbies (for the bird flying to the right), 5100 Woodland Tree Cubbies (for the bird flying to the left), and 4967 WC Fence Dies. The images are stamped onto Cryogen paper and then colored with Copic markers (the markers I used are listed below).  I inked the background with distress inks, added a sun with a few clouds and called her done!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit! Until next time - hope you stay crafty!

Copics used:

E51, E53, E97
BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18

Papertake Weekly - A stitch in time

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week Dawny's challenge is "A Stitch in Time"! And the best part is we're sponsored by the lovely ladies Andrea and Mary from The Ribbon Girl!  So use any type of stitching on your project, real or fake. I was a little pushed for time this weekend, so I put together a tag for you today. It may have been quick and easy, but I still love how it turned out.

I used the Cricut Expression and the Don Juan cartridge for the tag shape (isn't it cool?).  Then I used that cute little crab critter stamp from Paper Smooches and colored it up with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out. Then came the fun part.... I popped it onto an Action Wobble. How can you use these and get anything done??!! I just wanted to keep wobbling the crab! LOL! Anyway, I inked the background with Distress inks and then ripped a piece of cardstock and inked the edges with chalk ink. Then popped the little wobble crab on top. Oh, that was after stamping the sentiment onto the background too.  Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see all my talented teamies fabulous creations, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue (and maybe even a wobble) and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

I've entered this in Paper Smooches inspiration challenge

Paperplay Challenges - Anything but a card

Hi everyone! I'm back from my week with my family which went WAY too quickly. I miss everyone already. We brought JJ (our grandson) back with us to spend the next four weeks. So needless to say my hands will be full for a while. He's getting so big and growing up way too quickly, which they all do. But it seems so much more apparant when you don't get to see them all the time.  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge from Paperplay Challenges. They have a brand new sponsor, La-La Land Crafts! They generously offered the DT some images to play with, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get one done since I've been out of town.

For my "anything but a card" challenge, I created a tag using one of the hAnglar & stAnglar images. She's colored with Copic markers and then popped up from the tag.  The papers are from Nitwit Collections, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is May Arts Silk from Stamp and Create. That's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Paperplay Challenges and we'd love it if you'd play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Bitten By The Bug challenge turned to The Cutting Cafe'

Ok, what can I say? I can't do pillow boxes. I've tried and I've tried and I have hated every one of them I put together. It's just not a shape for me. I tried yet again because that was our challenge over at BBTB this week...to use the pillow box from the Wedding Cartridge. I cut it out, and I sent the pic to Regina, and then decided that the best part of the whole thing I made was this adorable Easter tag. So if you want to see my pillow box, you can see it over at BBTB. (sorry...but I HATE it! LOL!) But I will show you this cute tag you can make with the AWESOME new downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe' that I attached to that pillow box. I just resized the word block for the size tag I wanted and printed it off. Then resized that cute little chick with egg and printed her off too.
I colored everything with my Copic markers, cut the chick and egg out and popped it up off the tag. Thought this would be a perfect tag to attach to an adorable stuffed animal for Easter, don't ya think?? Regina's stamps are awesome to work with! You can resize them to whatever you need and only have to print the ones you want to work with. Please be sure and visit Bitten By The Bug to look at what all the other talented designers came up with for this challenge. You won't be disappointed! And then jump over to The Cutting Cafe' to check out Regina's awesome downloadable stamps! Thanks for stopping by to visit and hope you had a fabulous weekend! Come back and see me soon!!
