Hey everyone! The weekend is winding down, and it's been a really great one! We had some thunderstorms yesterday, and I do love thunderstorms! I was able to get a card done for the Case it Tuesday challenge over at The Cutting Cafe' blog. Regina has come up with the most awesome set of monsters! They are soooo much fun!! So here's what I came up with for Case it Tuesday.
I went somewhat along with the sketch of Regina's card, and I also used the colors of orange, red, black, and white. I used A Bunch of Monsters for the cute monster (there are NINE to choose from in this set) and the fun circle sentiment. I also used the Monster Love Background set for the background paper. Is this not soooo cute??!!! LOVE it!
The circle sentiment was cut out using circle Nesties, and the arrows were cut with the Cricut Expression using the Gypsy and I've already forgotten which cartridge. The monster is printed on X-Press It cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut him out and popped him up off the card base. The cardstock is all Bazzill.
This nice close up shows you how wonderfully Regina's sets print out. You've still got a little time to enter the challenge, so head on over and check it out! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!

The Cutting Cafe' - Mikala Ann being a good witch
Hi everyone! Oh my gosh, I am soooooo enjoying my long weekend! One more day to go! I made another book card today (to learn how to make it, just click on my tutorial tab above), and this one is a fun one featuring Mikala Ann from the set Elisha Jean and friends being good witches from The Cutting Cafe'! Isn't she soooo adorable????!
Her dress and hat is one of her accessory items. I colored her with Copic markers and then added some polka dots with a black Spice pen. LOVE her green and purple striped stockings!! LOL! The tree is cut using the Expression and Gypsy from the Mini Monsters cartridge (now just 19.99 over at Hallmark Scrapbook!!!) . I used the "out of the box" technique to cut Mikala Ann out with circle Nesties.
Those cute bats you see are one of my very favorite Halloween images EVER! LOL! It's a Magnolia image I got from Diana over at Magnolia-licious!! I use this little bat on EVERYTHING I make for Halloween. I can't help it...it's just that crazed look he's got in his eyes. heehee
This card looks like a book from the outside, and then when you untie the yummy silk ribbon and open it up, there's a frame inside that can hold just about anything you want it to. I put some See's candy lollipops in this one. I had to cut part of the stick off for them to fit, but I like the way it turned out! Because there's no place to write a personal note on the inside of this card, I added a pocket and tag on the left. The spider web was also cut from Mini Monsters. There's another one of those cute bats and then the two jack-o-lanterns are also from Magnolia-licious.
The papers I used are by jillibean soup called Monster Stew. The tag was cut with the Expression from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. The busted up fence and drippy goo borders on the frame are both Martha Stewart border punches.
So that's it for me today! I had a lot of fun creating this one! Again, if you'd like to know how to create this book card, just click on my tutorial page above. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage "what's cookin'?"
Hey everyone! I'm sooooo glad it's Friday! And a 3 day weekend in the States as well! WOOHOO!! The weather isn't going to be very nice (they're even talking snow for Sunday morning), so I'm planning on staying inside and getting some crafting done. My card today features another adorable vintage image from Peggy Loves Vintage. All her images are so great for making a fabulous card quickly! I printed her on Bazzill cardstock and cut her out from the background. She's popped up from a circle Nestie. The DP's are from Nitwit Collections.
I paired her up with a sentiment from The Cutting Cafe set called What's Cooking. I love using Regina's sentiements with Peggy's images. For the horizontal panel, I used a Martha Stewart border punch, and then edged the vertical panel with some beautiful lace from Bunny Zoe's Crafts. That big beautiful bow was made with May Arts Silk ribbon from Stamp and Create, and the charm is from my stash, so I have no idea where I got it from
A slightly angled pic to help show some of the dimension of the card. Plus it gives you a little glimpse of the inside which is decorated to complement the card front. So that's it for my card today. Please visit Peggy Loves Vintage to see the thousands and thousands of vintage images that Peggy has available. Don't forget to visit her blog and sign up to follow her. She loves to give away free images! Thanks so much for visiting me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Meet Elisha Jean from The Cutting Cafe!!
Hi everyone! We've made it half way through the week and we're on the downhill slide now! Can you belivee they are talking SNOW tonight? I'm so sick of the white stuff (just like all the rest of you). But to go from 70 deg weather two days ago to a high in the 40's, lows in the 20's, and snow on the valley floor tonight. YUCK!!! I will say though that this is very typical for spring weather in Reno. So onward and upward, right? Now how about we take a peek at this card! Is she not the cutest little thang you ever have seen??!!! Her name is Elisha Jean and she's a brand new digital image my good friend and adopted sis Regina has released. I LOVE her! She and two of her friends are available for purchase right now over at The Cutting Cafe! For my card, I used Bazzill cardstock and the DP is from My Minds Eye.
I added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers edges in some Crystal Stickles with the Martha Stewart frond punch. I honestly can't remember where I got the lace from, but it was either from Stamp and Create or Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is also from Stamp and Create as are the Kaiser pearls and that pretty little heart charm. The magnificent glittered heart is from Melissa Frances (looooove them!!). There's lots of machine stitching and lots of dimension too. Elisha Jean is colored with Copic markers.
skin E11, 21; hair-E15, 39, 59 socks YG11, 13, 17 shoes: E13, 15, 17
I think that's about it for today! Please be sure and visit Regina over at The Cutting Cafe! She's got some truly amazing digital images and sentiments to offer you. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

The Cutting Cafe Sun Shaped card
Hi everyone! Hope your enjoying your day! I sure am as it's a three day weekend for me! I wanted to show you what is probably my last summery card for this year. I used this awesome sun shaped card from The Cutting Cafe. It comes along with an envelope and some sentiments especially made for this set as well! I cut it with a base of Bazzill cardstock, and then cut the front with polka dot paper from PTI. Reginal also just released an awesome new set called You're in my thoughts greetings inside and out. Wow! This set contains 65 sentiments for both the inside and out of your cards!! AWESOME! Be sure to check it out! The cute image I used is from Digital Delights by Louby Loo called Scrubbie Sue and Floatie, and she's on sale right now along with everything else in the shop for a Labor Day sale. Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back tomorrow for a new Papertake Weekly challenge! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious blog hop Nautical - Sail away with me!
Hi everyone! I sure hope you had a fabulous weekend, and today, Magnolia-licious is having a nautical themed blog hop! How fun! Especially with all the adorable nautical themed stamps that Magnolia has released lately! If you arrived here from the amazingly talented Janiel, then you're on the right track. If not, you will want to go back to the start with the uber talented Cheryl! If you lose your way, just go to Magnolia-licious Highlites to continue on your journey through the hop. I chose to use one of the cutest Edwins that I think they've ever released. He's Dangling Sea Edwin from the brand new "Bon Voyage" collection which is available for preorder right now at Magnolia-licious! I also used #413 Pelican, and #739 "The tide always turns" sentiment. As soon as I received this Edwin, I knew I wanted to put him on a boat shaped easel card.
When I made the easel card, because the top portion of the card is the narrow mast, I wanted to reinforce it so it wouldn't sag down from all the weight of the card front. So I just cut four strips of heavy cardstock that were a little narrower than the mast, glued them on top of each other, and attached it to the back of the card. It worked perfectly and added a lot of strength to the card. The stamps are colored with Copic markers, and Edwin is popped up from the card with dimensional tape.
Finally, I added a big white button topped off with a red gingham bow for the easel to rest against. That was it! Now for some fun stuff! If you would like to win a Bow Easy plus an assortment of May Arts silk ribbon (same ribbon I use on almost all my cards), then please leave a comment on this post before midnight Pacific on Saturday, Aug 7th. I will pick and post a winner on Sunday, Aug 8th. Now it's time to hop on over to the fabulously talented Suzanne! I'm sure she's got an amazing project for your viewing pleasure! Thanks so much for hopping with us today! Hope to see you again soon! Hugs!

New teapot files from The Cutting Cafe!
Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying your weekend and that your weather is fabulous! I threw together an adorable card with a couple new files that are available over at The Cutting Cafe'. I used the new Teapot shaped cards which comes with two different shaped teapots. And then I used the Tea Time images for the circle sentiment. I just sized it to fit the way I wanted it to, and then cut it out with circle Nestabilities. That's the most awesome part about digital stamps! You can make them any size you need. I cut the heart using my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge through my fabulous Gypsy. And then glued a teapot charm in the center of it. I also hung a cherry charm from the bow made with May Arts Silk Ribbon. If you haven't been over to The Cutting Cafe' for a while, you must go see all the fabulous new images Regina has available now! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you again soon! Hugs!

Apple of my eye

Hi everyone! Time to go back to work after a long weekend. I wanted to make one more card this weekend, so I made a quick one from an awesome set of stamps from The Cutting Cafe' called Beautiful Trees. I printed it out and colored it with Copic markers. Then cut it out and popped it up from a circle cut with my Nestabilities. The papers are digital and the cardstock is Bazzill. The sentiment was printed from my computer and I added some machine stitching and some doodling. Added a punched border at the bottom, and that was it! Please be sure and pop over to The Cutting Cafe' to see all the fabulous stamps Regina has to offer. Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! hugs!

Tilda with presents with The Cutting Cafe'

I used my Nestabilites to mount Tilda on after I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out. She' mounted with dimensional tape and so is the scalloped mat that she's on. Added some pretty little flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some gorgeous silk ribbon from Stamp and Create made with my Bow Easy, and some leaves from my Martha Stewart frond punch, and this one was done! I used another sheet from The Cutting Cafe' inside the card as well.
