Papertake Weekly - it's sketch week!

Hey everyone! YAY! I'm back to playing along over at Papertake Weekly after taking some much needed time off. With today being the last Tuesday of the month, that means it's sketch week so we get to play with another one of Dawny's fabulous sketches!  It also means we are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp! So without further ado, here's a look at the sketch

And this is what I've done with it

Heehee...isn't this a fun card?? It's going to my grandson JJ that lives out of state.  This adorable bird is from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals. The little critters come with various accessories you can stamp such as the fun glasses. I stamped him on Cryogen White paper and then stamped the glasses right over him. I then colored him with Copic markers and added some Glass Effects on the glasses.  I fussy cut him out and then popped him up onto a Wobble! FUN!!  The sentimen is also Paper Smooches and is from a set called Sentiment Sampler. I love Kim's sentiments!

The papers are some I've had for a while, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl matted with Bazzill cardstock. Hi everyone!! Have you seen the new fantastic Magnola Turning Leaves Collection? Oh my gosh, such fabulous images!! They are available right now at Magnolia-licious!! I'm sorry this seems so dark! I used darker colors (very unusual for me and my style) and it just didn't translate very well to the camera.  She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. I used E80's on her clothes, E50's on the pencils, and C grays for her hair and pencil lead. Her skin is E13, 11, 01, and 00.

I used one of the adorable Birthday Lulu images from the new July release. Isn't she so precious??!! She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. The card shape and doily are courtesy of the Silhouette store and the papers are Basic Grey matted with Bazzill cardstock. Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are from a Viva Decor pearl pen. I need to finish collecting every single color of those pearl pens, cause I'm tellin' ya...I definitely use them like crazy!! Ribbon is May Arts silk topped with a button and twine from my stash.

It's release day for Kraftin' Kimmie!!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek Day 4 and Lots of Dots!

Hey everyone!! Are you enjoying all the fabulous sneak peeks of the new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps? This is such a FUN release, and now it's time to reveal the new images by the AMAZING Annie Rodrigue!!!  I don't know about you, but I love the old B&W movies!! There was such class and glamour in old Hollywood.  And now Kimme and Annie have brought those amazing images back to us in the form of deep etched rubber!! Along with the sneak peeks of the new images, it's also Saturday which means it's time for a new challenge. Our hostess with the mostest for this challenge is the amazing Krafty Girl Cheryl!  Now I must say, (and you can see it in my profile too) one of my all time favorite movies is My Fair Lady. I'm a sucker for musicals, always have been, and I'm sure I probably always will be. So when I saw this rendition of Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady, I thought I was going to literally croak!! So of course she was the first image I had to color up (all the while humming "all I want is a room somewhere....").  So here is my creation for you today.

Now I know I cheated and added a touch of red to her outfit, but I just couldn't help myself. :)  She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. The papers are from Pink Petticoat matted with Bazzill cardstock, ribbon is May Arts Silk, and the lace is from my stash. The circles and ovals were cut using Nesties.

Kraftin Kimmie - use your favorite KK stamp!

Hey everyone! This is a prescheduled post, so I hope it all goes ok! I'm in California with the two older grandsons (6 and 8), and I'm sure I'm completely exhausted (and completely happy). It's time for a new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog, and today I'm the hostess.  My challenge for you this week is to use your favorite Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. For my card today, I chose to use Best Friends. LOVE this image! And it looks like for the second week in a row, I've chosen an image that isn't in stock. (ugh!) Sorry bout that! I'm sure Kimmie will have more back in stock soon.

The sentiment comes with the stamp as well. It's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. I used a Nestie to cut them out and pop them up from the card base. The DP is from Little Yellow Bicycle mounted on Bazzill cardstock.
