Christmas card with Cricut and Vintage Santa

Here's another one of those amazing Santa's off my sister's cd! If you visit her site by clicking on the link, it's the 240 Vintage Santa Claus cd. I printed him out on Bazzill cardstock and then used an oval nestie to cut him out. This is one of the most beautiful Santa's I think I've ever seen. I really love how he turned out.
The paper and buttons are Basic Grey and the crdstock is Bazzill. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the large scalloped edge across the bottom, and my Spellbinder dies for the scalloped ovals.
For the tag, I used the Cricut Tags Bags Boxes and More cartridge. Accented things with some chalk ink and that's about it.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't OD on pumpkin pie! And if you're looking for any of the Cricut cartridges or the Expression, be sure and visit Hallmark Scrapbook. They're having an AWESOME CARTRIDGE SALE going on right now! Be sure and let your loved ones know which ones you have on your wish list! Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Merry and Bright Christmas card

Here's another Christmas card. I'm starting to panic because I have so much to do and not enough time to get it all done! YIKES!!! Some people may even get *GASP* purchased cards this year. I haven't purchased a card in so long!
This one was made with another one of those amazing cut files from Regina over at The Cutting Cafe! If you still haven't been over to visit her shop, you should do yourself a favor. She sells wpc files to use with your Pazzle machine and other cutting machines too. But don't worry if you don't have the machine, cause she also has them in PDF files. Just print them on your printed paper or cardstock and cut them out by hand! Works like a charm!

The circle tag is from another set Regina has also! Sooooo easy! Just print and punch it out with your circle punch! I love it!!! I layered it on top of some Mini Monograms circles and popped a little red button in the center and voila!

the pp is by Kaiser and the cardstock is Bazzill. I used lots of chalk ink and some liquid applique. Oh! And the holly is from my Cricut cartridge Joys of the Season.
If you are in need of any of these tools or cartridges, please be sure and visit Hallmark Scrapbook! They're having an amazing cartridge sale going on right now!!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and hope you're having a wonderful Thanksgiving week!! I've got lots to do the rest of the week as I'm cooking. So if I don't see you before, HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY FRIENDS!!!
Hugs!!

Hey baby - what's cookin?? A new BBTB challenge with Stretch Your Imagination

Oh how much stinkin fun I had making this card! I can't even begin to tell you. This is pure me all the way! LOL! I love to make people laugh, so I hope I was able to pull it off. Regina asked us to use either the regular turkey or the stretched turkey, so this is what I came up with. Here's the recipe: trees and turkey were cut with Stretch Your Imagination with my Cricut Expression. The sideways ballcap was cut using the Pooh cart. I just flipped it around with my machine so it would look like he was wearing it to the side and back. The supposed girl ( I know the boys are usually the prettier ones - but go with me for the heck of it) was cut with my Pazzle Inspiration and the Holidays Pazzle cd. The word bubbles were cut from my Graphically Speaking cart and the grass is from ZooBalloo. The paper is mostly Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill. All of these items are available over at Hallmark Scrapbook!! And they've still got their cartridge sale going on! I sure hope you like it! Don't forget to check out the latest contest going on over at Bitten By The Bug!! Thanks a lot for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday!!! HUGS!!!

Merry Christmas to you!

This card was SO quick and easy! That gorgeous Santa was from my very talented sis's cd of Santa Claus vintage images. You should REALLY check these things out! They make card making so easy! And that circle tag is from my very talented friend Regina which is available at The Cutting Cafe. You just print it out on cardstock and punch it out with your circle punch. The scalloped circles were cut with my Cricut Expression machine using the Mini Monograms cartridge. I just attached it to the hat pin and stuck it into the ribbon. The cardstock behind that beautiful Santa is embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. The bottom edge is from my MS border punch, and the ribbon is from M's. That's it! Hope you like it and that you're getting all of your Christmas projects done!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! HUGS!!

Take two peanuts....

There's a blogging friend that has gotten very sick and is in the hospital, so I wanted to try and cheer her up a bit. And with perfect timing, I just got my new stamps from Our Craft Lounge! Oh how cute are these stamps!!! And the quality is WONDERFUL! I got nice clean crisp images! Love them and will definitely be getting more! This one is made from the stamp set called Dr. Peanut. LOVE IT!!! The scalloped circles were cut on my Expression Machine with the Mini Monograms cartridge, and the tag with the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge. The scalloped border on the bottom is with my MS punch and I did some machine stitching. The paper is Basic Grey and Bazzill cardstock, and that matching brad on the tag is Basic Grey as well. I sure hope it makes her smile. Thanks for looking!

Alaska has been in the news a lot lately, so let's do a silly law from Alaska:

Did you know that in Anchorage, no one may tie their pet dog to the roof of the car??? I guess it's ok to strap them to the grill?? SHEESH!!!

These are a couple of the FABULOUS boxes that are available over at The Cutting Cafe. These boxes are amazing! They go together so easily and all you have to do is throw a couple embellishments on it and you've got a fantastic little gift box! The first box is the cupcake box and I LOVE this!! When I first cut it out, I realized it was the PERFECT size for a Christmas ornament, so that's exactly what I made! The second box will hold a set of four standard A2 cards!! Please hop over to The Cutting Cafe and check these cutting files out! And if you're looking for the tools that I used to make them, go check out the Cricut Expression machine and the Pazzle Inspiration over at Hallmark Scrapbook!! They have the best prices and customer service on the net!!! They're also having a super cartridge sale going on!! You're going to love the prices!!! Rockin Around the Christmas Tree

Over at Hallmark Scrapbook message board, Carole gave us a challenge to make a project with the rocking horse on Joys of the Season. This is what I came up with. pp is Basic Grey, cardstock is Bazzill. I used one of my new MS border punches for the strip across the top. Both the rocking horse and the tree came from Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge. I put red glitter spots on the die cut, and then layered the MS branch punch on top of that so it would look like there were lights within the tree. I think it looks that way in real life, not sure if it translates on the pic. The branches on the tree was inspired by my friend Michelle. She's so talened. Be sure and visit her blog if you haven't!!! I topped it all off with a yummy ribbon that came from my friend Regina Easter, and there ya have it! Hope you like it!!! Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day! Hugs!!!

Christmas is the Season for Giving A Cricut card with Stretch Your Imagination

Over at BBTB this week, Regina asked us to use this tree for a Christmas project. I must admit, this one was very difficult for me. I had no idea what the heck to do with this tree and make it say Christmas. So this is what I came up with. The tree is from the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, the snowman is from Doodlecharms. I made the snow by mixing up some diamond glaze, some white paint, and some glitter. I wanted dimension, that's why I used the diamond glaze with it. pp is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. Please be sure and look at the rest of the BBTB designers projects by clicking here. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Hugs!!

Another Christmas card with Sizzix dies

I love whimsical! So when I saw this set of Sizzix Sizzlet dies over at Hallmark Scrapbook, I couldn't wait to get them. And they did not dissappoint!! I cut each of them out and placed them on a scallopped square cut with my Cricut Expression machine and the Storybook cartridge. They are double popped for dimension. The pp is Bo Bunny from last year and the cardstock is Bazzill. Popped on a little border made with my Threading Water punch and put a little piece of ribbon on top. That was it! I'm slowly making some headway with my Christmas cards! Thanks for stopping by and visiting today! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! HUGS!

Another dumb law in Nevada:

In Reno (right where I live) it's illegal to lie down on the sidewalk.

Not that I would really want to, but that's just a little excessive, don't ya think??? :)

ho ho ho...Santa was here with downloadable circle tag

I have been seeing these medalion cards everywhere and have really been wanting to make one! So I finally did last night. If you haven't seen this tutorial, be sure and visit Becca over at Amazing Paper Grace. She's one talented lady!!!

I used a corner punch to make the medalion. The PP is by Kaiser and the cardstock by Bazzill. The Santa stamp is a Mary Engelbreit by All Night Media #849J11. I used my MS border punch and then that fun tag is a downloadable stamp by Regina Easter over at The Cutting Cafe! They're so easy to use! Just print and punch out with your circle punch! I love them! Watch for them! They'll be available soon over on the Cutting Cafe web site! Thanks for stopping by to visit and have a wonderful Saturday!

To/From Christmas tags set

This was my project for the Hallmark Ladybug blog a couple weeks ago. I gave you a sneak peek with just the box, so now you get to see the whole set if you didn't happen to go check them out over at Hallmark. I truly love making my own gift tags for Christmas, so this project was a LOT of fun for me. If you would like to have specifics, please click right here!
Now how about a little fun?!! I have always been intrigued by all the silly laws that are still on the books of our nation. So I thought maybe I'd let you know some of them. Here's my very first!! Since I live in the state of Nevada, I thought I'd start with one from here first.
It's illegal to drive a camel on the highway in Nevada.
Thank goodness! I can only imagine rush hour!!!!
Take care and have a great day! Thanks for stopping by to visit! HUGS!!

Hope you're feeling ducky soon and You did it!!!

I had a couple cards to make this weekend, and I'm feeling quite happy that I was able to get them done! One of my friends had surgery, and another is finishing up her last chemo treatment for breast cancer this week! For the ducky card, the stamp is from Whippersnapper, and the oval it's on it from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. The tag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge. The "U did it" card is Mickey and Friends of course. The u did it is from the Mickey font. I cut it out five times and made my own chipboard letters with it. The tag again is from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. The paper is Basic Grey. If you're looking for any of these cartridges, you can find them over at Hallmark Scrapbook for a great price. And they have the best customer service on the web!!!! Thanks for taking a look! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

One more thing, my friend Nikki is giving away some really yummy blog candy over on her blog!!!! Please be sure and pay her a visit and maybe you'll get lucky and win! While you're there, be sure and take a look at her awesome work! I've been a fan of hers for a long time!!! She's one super talented lady!!

The Cutting Cafe - a downloadable stamp by Regina Easter

Regina Easter has come up with the absolute cutest downloadable stamps over at her shop, The Cutting Cafe!! It's a set of four cards that are adorable!! Here's a card I made by cutting out a foundation circle and a scalloped circle, both at 5 1/2 inches with the Mini Monograms cartridge in my Cricut Expression machine. I printed one of the cupcakes on the circle I cut out, and then printed another one that I cut out. I colored both of them the same and then layered the one I cut out on top with pop dots. She's got a special going on right now. If you purchase the cupcake set of downloadable stamps, you'll get her stocking and long box cutting files for FREE!! So hurry over and see Regina's awesome samples of these adorable cards and take advantage of the sale she's having! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your visits and comments are VERY much appreciated!!

Scrap n Fonts challenge for Bitten By the Bug

Last week over at Bitten By The Bug, we got to use a doodlebat and font from Scrap N Fonts. This was a fun challenge! We got to use the doodlebat Tis The Season Modern, and a font called SNF Classy Charm. From the doodlebats, I converted the snowflake inside a scalloped square to a wpc file and cut it out with my Pazzle Inspiration. I also created a shadow for the snowflake with my Pazzle software as well. The JOY tag is also from the same doodlebat, but I printed that on a tag and colored it in with my Copic markers. I used Basic Grey paper and lots of chalk ink. The card and envelope are cut with my Cricut Expression with the Christmas Cheer cartridge. Please be sure and go look at all the amazing cards the other designers created over at Bitten By The Bug. Thanks so much for visiting!! HUGS!
