Papertake Weekly - Grow your own blooms!

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week you're being challenged to "grow your own blooms".  So no purchased blooms on this project! only ones you've made yourself! This challenge is being sponsored by the lovely Whiff of Joy!  For my card, I used a super cute image from Whipper Snapper. Isn't she just the bees knees??!! LOL!

She' colored with Copic markers. I used Y32, 35, and then went over it with Y04 to brighten it up, for the black I used C3, 5, and 7, and the reds are R22, 24, 27, and 29.  My bloom was made using the Cricut Expression with my Gypsy and the Create a Critter cartridge. I just cut it out in various sizes and papers and put them all together with a brad from my stash.  The sentiment comes attached to the bee, but I cut mine apart for more versatility.

The papers are digital which I purchased from My Graphico called BumbleBee paper.  What can I say...I'm a fool for polka dots and it's yellow too!! Does it get much better than yellow polka dots? That's a really tough question for me! LOL!  Please pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out the rest of my teamies creations, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

First, I was so honored to see that I was visited by you and you were so kind to leave me a wonderful comment. There is never a reason for you to apologize for not coming around to visit. It is always such an honor for me to see that you've dropped by. Now for this adorable card! OMGosh this image is certainly the bee's knees! And of course, you have colored it beautifully. But I'm most thrilled and amazed at your zig-zag stitching around a circle! Wow is that amazing. When I get better with my new sewing machine, I'll have to try that! Always a joy to come see your wonderful work. Best, Curt
