Art Impressions Comfy on Couch

Hope you're having an awesome start to your weekend! I wanted to show you a card I made featuring the super fun Comfy on Couch Set (sku 4050) from Art Impressions.  The fun part about is that I colored it a couple weeks ago during a weekend away with my girlfriends! LOVE those weekends!!!

 

 

 

I used the Colorless Blender pen to make the pattern on the pj bottoms.

Life is Short featuring Art Impressions Spinners

Happy weekend! I sure hope you're enjoying the last bit of August before we head into September! I can't believe how quickly this year is going.  So have you tried any of the AI Spinners from Art Impressions yet? They are SO much fun!! Today I'm showing you Frosting Spinner (sku# 4573) and I cut it out quickly and easily using the Frosting Spinner Dies (sku# 4615).

 

 

Now one of the challenges of the Spinner stamps is that I really don't want my sentiment showing through to the front of the card and taking the attention away from the adorable spinner. So what I did is cut the standard 4.25" x 5.5" card base.  Then when I layered the inside panel, I cut a piece that was double the width of my normal layered mat, scored it and glued it to the card base so it turned the card into a trifold. I usually leave a 1/16" border , so I cut the yellow piece of cardstock at 5 3/8" x 8 1/4". Then scored it at 4 1/8".  Make sense?

 

 

That way, you get the clean look for the spinner, and still get your sentiment on the inside of the card.

Art Impressions Anything Goes Challenge Week 2

Here's what I've created for the challenge. I love this set Deep Breath Birthday (sku# 4471)! I just think he's so fun! The stamp has the blow fish and the cake as one, but I just fussy cut them cause I wanted to put the fish on a wobble. Because I lost the bubbles when I fussy cut them, I replaced them with some dew drops I've had for forever.
