Papertake Weekly - sketch week!

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I've got to tell you I am sooooo excited!!! I bought tickets for my daughter and grandson to come spend Christmas with us this year. They'll be here for two full weeks and that's the only Christmas present I want! They get here in two weeks and it won't get here fast enough for me.

So anyway, with it being Tuesday, that means it's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week it's sketch week. We're being sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp!

And here's what I came up with for the sketch

I chose to use #3039 Longing Tilda along with #457 Noel both from the amzing Diana over at Magnolia-licious. They're stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I used oval Nesties to cut out the word Noel. Cardstock is Bazzill, PP is Nitwit Collections, and the hearts were cut using my Cricut Expression.

I truly wish I could remember who's blog I recently saw the buttons and attached string on so I could give credit where credit is due. If you know, please email me so I can link to them! The ribbon is May Arts silk from Stamp and Create. That's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see what the rest of the fabulous design team has created, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage Christmas Cut Outs

Ok, the rush is on! Do you have all your Christmas cards made? Don't panic! With images from Peggy Loves Vintage, you can crank out those cards in no time at all! This precious image is from a set of her Christmas Cut Outs. I simply printed the image, cut it out with my circle Nesties, and popped it up with some dimensional tape. All cardstock is Bazzill and the PP is from Bearly Mine. I machine stitched the large panel, and while I was stitching the smaller panels, I noticed I had ran out of bobbin thread. I didn't want double holes, and it's so hard to get them lined up perfectly again, so I just continued stitching around it with my needle for the holes, and then used a white gel pen for the stitch marks. Not bad, huh?

Added a few Kaiser pearls, some paper lace courtesy of a Martha Stewart punch, and that was it! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage to see all the fabulous Christmas images she has available to help you in your quest to get those holiday cards done and in the mail! And don't forget to follow her blog too. She loves to give away free vintage images!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Wrap it up!!

Hi everyone! For all of my friends that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, I truly hope you had a wonderful holiday with lots of food, friends, and family! And so the hectic shopping season begins! Did you get up in the wee hours of the morning to attend Black Friday events? Not me! I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole! LOL! I like my sleep way too much. If you braved the weather and the crowds, I hope it was well worth your time and effort, and that you found all the deals you were after.

It's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers, and this weeks challenge is hosted by the sweet, wonderful, and extremely talented Nikki!! She is asking us to "wrap it up". So make either a bag, box, or tag.  I worked with one of my favorite images called "Say a Prayer" in both rubber and dgi form! I miniaturized the digital image so she'd fit perfectly on my tag. I love being able to do this!! They're both colored with Copic markers and cut out. The bag was cut using my Cricut Expression and the tag and scalloped edge were cut with Magnolia Doohickey dies.  Please be sure and visit my Design Diva Sisters to see the fabulous creations they came up with for this challenge, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us for a chance to win your own Wags 'n Whiskers image!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Papertake Weekly - Cut it out!

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge, and this week it's "Cut it Out". So you can use your punches, die cuts, or just cut your image out with your scissors! We're being sponsored this week by the fabulous Wendy over at Digital Delights by Louby Loo! I chose to use this absolutely adorable penguin from Kraftin Kimmie called Oliver! I fell head over heels in love with this little guy as soon as I saw him last year and had to have him. Well it just so happens that Kimmie sent me another Oliver stamp in my Guest Design Team package, so some lucky person out there is getting ready to win him! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post before 11:59pm Friday night, November 26th, and I'll pull a lucky winner sometime next weekend!

Oliver is colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up for dimension. The hearts were cut from Nesties and the icicle punched border is from  a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is computer generated. I used Bazzill cardstock for the base, Kraft cardstock for matting, and the PP is from Nitwit Collections. The red pearls are Kaiser and the ribbon is May Arts. That's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see what the rest of the fabulous designers created for your viewing pleasure. And then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and for those of you that are in the States, I wish you and yours a Very Happy Thanksgiving! Hugs! Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win Oliver!

Magnolia-licious Blog Hop Winner!!!

Hello everyone! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend! I have not gotten any crafting done because of a very nasty upper respiratory infection. I wanted to get the winner posted for the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop. So without further ado...here we go.....

The winner is.....

And #4 is....

So Beth, if you would contact me with your choice of stamp from Magnolia-licious and your address, I will get it on it's way! Thanks so much to everyone for playing along! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Lavender and Lace challenge

Happy Friday! I'm excited about today as I have all of next week off! YAY! The alarm gets turned OFF! LOL! Plus I've come down with some NASTY chest cold and it's knocked me flat on my butt. I'm wiped! I do NOT want to spend my week of vacation being sick, UGH! Ok, enough about my whining self..... So with it being Friday, that means it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge. This weeks challenge is from the wonderful and talented Vicky, and she wants to see lavender and lace.  I kind of cheated and used paper lace made with Martha Stewart punches, but it's still lace, right? Anyway, I used this adorable fairy called Hannah. I just love her! She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up off the front panel.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, cardstock is Bazzill, and the PP are all from Pink Petticoat, all three are lavender. I'm not a real purple person, so my choice of colors in Purple Copics is VERY limited (that's an understatement!) So she does't match perfectly, but I still think she's cute!  So hop on over to my Sister Divas and take a peek at the bit of gorgeousness they've created for you today, and then join us in the challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge Blog for a chance to win!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Autumn Nights

We made it through Monday! Just a few more days and I get all of next week off work! You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to that break! So needless to say, I am ready for Friday to be here NOW! LOL!  With it being Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week we're sponsored by the fabulous Katharina from Whiff of Joy! This weeks challenge is Autum Nights, so use autumn color such as oranges, reds, browns, reds, and greens.

I used this adorable Hanglar that  I've had for a while and never inked up (shame on me!). He's colored with Copic Sketch markers and then cut out with circle and scalloped circle Nesties.  I used some of my new Tim Holtz products such as the leaves cutting die and the ticket stamp. PP is from Nitwit Collections. I totally transformed those hearts! They're Melissa Frances glittery chipboard hearts, but I slathered Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint all over them and then spritzed them with my Copic ABS with R89. Then I took my embossing gun to them for the nice big cracks.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Design Team, and then grab your paper and glue and play along! You might get lucky and win a gorgeous prize from Whiff of Joy!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious November blog hop - Home Sweet Home!!!

Hi everyone! I sure hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a brand new week! I did a demo Copic coloring table at our local scrapbook store last night and even got to meet one of our own wonderful  Magnolia-licious members! It was tons of fun!

So now it's time for a new blog hop from the Magnolia-licious Design Team!  If you've arrived here from the ever amazingly talented (and my coloring hero!!) Cheryl, then you're on the right track. If not, you will want to go back to the Magnolia-licious Hightlights Blog so you don't miss any of the fabulous creations!!

This month's theme is "Home Sweet Home"!! How fun is that??!!  I really like cute magnets for the fridge, so that's exactly what I made!!! I stamped some of the new images from the Merry Christmas 2010 collection that is available right now over at Magnolia-licious. I also used one from last year's Christmas stamps, and I even did one from the Yummy For Your Tummy colllection so I wouldn't have to take them all down after Christmas!  I simply colored them with my Copics, cut them out, and then coated them with Mod Podge to protect them. I then cut some magnets and attached them to the back of the image with Scor Tape (that magnet is not going ANYWHERE! Here's some closeups of the magnets.

I just stuck these on my magnetic white board in my scrapping area, and that may very well be where they stay! LOL! I love them!  Here is a list of the Magnolia images I used:

Now before you hop along, be sure to leave a comment on this post before the end of Friday, November 19th Pacific Standard Time.  I will be giving one lucky person a Magnolia stamp of their choice from Magnolia-licious!!  Now it's time to hop along to the fabulously talented Angie to see what gorgeous creation she has to show you! Hope you're having fun with the hop and that you'll join us in the challenge! Hugs!

So as you can see, I used the adorable Skiing Miles by Steven Leary for my project today, along with the sentiment that comes along with him. I think this is perfect for a couple of ski passes (we're only an hour outside of Tahoe). Miles is colored with Copic markers and then cut out using oval and scalloped oval Nesties. I added some punched snowflakes courtesy of a Martha Stewart punch and that was it!  Oh, and the PP is digital from Nitwit Collections. So that's it for me! Thanks so much for hopping along with us today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

New challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie - Funky Fibers

It's time for a new challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog, plus we're continuing the sneak peeks for the new release and blog hop that happens Sunday, Nov 14th! The challenge this week is "funky fibers"! So use cool ribbon, twine, rick rack, etc.  My sneak peek today is of this gorgeous Krafty girl called Sabrina the Spinner colored with Copic markers.

Cardstock is Bazzill and PP is from Nitwit Collections. I stitched on all the panels then added the matching gingham bows along with some rick rack that I had in my stash. I used this particular paper cause it felt so country to me, and the one pattern is like a quilt. Sabrina comes with an accessory stamp plus the sentiment that is shown. BONUS!!! Wags 'n Whiskers uses acetate and another sneak peek for Kraftin Kimmie

Good morning and happy Friday!! It's time for a brand new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers. This week our challenge is to use acetate, vellum, or tissue, and it's brought to us by the fabulously talented Diva Tracy. For my card, I chose to work with this adorable image called Sweet Danni and Bella. I just LOVE her! She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with Nestabilities. The entire card front is acetate.

I cut out the scalloped edge on the inside and the "ho ho ho" with my Cricut Expression. The "ho ho ho" is completely covered in red stickles.  The bow is made from May Arts silk ribbon and a stocking charm is hung from it. Cardstock is Bazzill and the PP is from Bearly Mine.  Please be sure to visit my sister Divas to check out their fabulous creations, and then we'd LOVE it if you'd join our challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers challenge blog!!

**********************************

Are you ready for another fun sneak peek at the new Kraftin Kimmie release? I'm excited to present to you, the adorable Annie the artist! Isn't she just too cute??!! I wanted to draw a big round yellow happy face on the canvas, but didn't trust myself. I didn't want to ruin my colored image. Just call me chicken! LOL! But you should see what some of the fabulous Krafty girls have done with this stamp! I'm telling you, they are amazing!  Anyway, Annie is colored in Copic markers (chalk was used on her cheeks)  and then I added some fun flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in the corner of the frame that was made with Martha Stewart PAP set.

I really wanted to use some fun, happy colors with this image. The cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is some I've been hoarding since last year from American Crafts. The bow again is made with May Arts silk ribbon and I dangled a fun heart charm from it. that's pretty much it for this one. I left it pretty simple and fun! Please be sure and visit  the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog. You will find a list of all the details there! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today and hope to see you again tomorrow for more sneak peeks plus a brand new challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie!  Hugs!

I'm on top of the world that Kimmie asked me to be a Krafty Guest this month. This adorable stamp that I used for todays sneak peek is called Miles and Winter Friends. Aren't they just too cute??!! They will be available for purchase on Sunday, and the sneak peeks will continue until then!  I colored them with Copics, cut the stamp out with oval Nesties,  and then zig zag stitched around it.  Don't know if you can tell, but it's popped up off the card for dimension. .

The cardstock is Bazzill and the PP and that tree are from Nitwit Collections. The snowflakes were cut from a Cuttlebug die, covered in Stickles, and then popped up for dimension. The bow is made with some gorgeous May Arts silk ribbon which is available at Stamp and Create, and I hung a snowflake charm from it. For the snow, I used Polar White Flower Soft, and for Miles coat, I used white flocking on his furry parts (Marlene - don't EVEN go there!!). This was so much fun! Please be sure and visit Kraftin' Kimmies blog to see the rest of the sneak peaks from the Krafty Girls and other Krafty Guests! We're being sponsored this week by the fabulous Whiff of Joy!!  For my card, I chose to work with one of my new Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious, #112 Edwin with Package. He's from the brand new Merry Christmas 2010 collection which is available right now! I paired him with the dock which is not in stock right now. Kraftin Kimmie - How Distressing!!!

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how excited I am!!! I was asked to be a Krafty Guest for the month of November for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! I think I probably blew her away with how fast I screamed YES! LOL! I love, love, love her stamps!!  So I'm totally excited to say that today is my first posting. The challenge hostess for this week is the amazingly talented Tara, and the challenge is "How Distressing"!  If you want a chance to win the stamp featured on Tara's card,  please be sure and play along with the challenge!  Just pop over HERE for all the details.  My card is very simplistic, but man did I ever distress the heck out of it!!  For my image, I used the beautiful Clara.  I adore her outfit and colored it up with Copic Sketch markers. I used lots of chalk ink around the edges of the paper, and then I got out my scissors. By the time I was distressing the last layer, my hands were cramping so bad that I couldn't seperate my fingers!  I need to look into one of those new distressing tools. Shopping time!!! LOL!

Look what I did to that pretty pink silk ribbon! There oughta be a law!!  LOL! I dripped Copic refill ink onto it, and then I simply used a marker on it until it looked dirty enough to me. For the next step, I grabbed my scissors again and it felt like a slasher flick the way I was going at the poor ribbon! LOL! For a final touch, I  took my Copic marker and "flicked" it with my finger over the top of Clara's image  to try and splatter some random dark spots. I'm thinking it would have worked a little better had I first dripped a couple drops of refill ink onto the tip of the marker. The cardstock is Bazzill and the PP is from Nitwits. Be sure and do yourself a favor by going over to Kraftin' Kimmie's  blog to check out the gorgeous creations by the rest of the design team. And then be sure and join us in the challenge for a chance to win!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Penny for the Guy!

It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week it's all about cards for boys/men! We're sponsored this week by the fabulous Whiff of Joy!! Masculine cards are usually really hard for me, so this time I challenged myself to make two! Here's the first one that is using a digital image from Just Inklined over at ImageEnation. I love their stamps!!! I've had this duck for what seems like forever, and decided I was going to use it as soon as I saw the new challenge. I colored him with Copic markers to match the Basic Grey bird paper that I used. The bright yellow polka dot paper is PTI.  I just printed the sentiment from my computer and cut it out with Nesties. It's what I see him saying with the look that is on his face. LOL!

For card two, I used an image from Peggy Loves Vintage. This is one of those cards that took me about five minutes to make. The images are from the Birthday Volume 1 cd, and I printed both the front along with the inside of the card too! I just printed them, matted them, and then added a punched border and then LOOK! I used some of my rain dots that I bought about two years ago when they were so popular! LOL! That's all that was added to this card!

Please pop over to Papertake Weekly to see what the rest of the amazing design team has created, and then we'd love it if you would grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia DT November sketch project - Make a Shaker

Can you believe it's NOVEMBER??? I sure can't! Where in the heck has the year gone? It's time for a new Design Team challenge over at Magnolia-Licious, and this month we're being hosted by the extremely talented and awesome Barb Hardeman. Barb challenged us to "make a shaker". I LOVE shaker cards!  For mine, I chose to use one of my all time favorite Tildas,  #310 Waiting Tilda (not in stock right now) and the sled she's sitting on appears to be out of stock as well. Please just email Diana if you're interested in it. They're colored with Copic markers.

Cardstock is Bazzill and the patterned paper is from Bearly Mine digital papers. I used a combination of micro beads and Polar White Flower Soft inside. The frame is made with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set, and then I just cut out the inside with a ruler and craft knife and then attached a piece of acetate. I made my shaker box by just using dimensional tape. We would love it if you would join us in the challenge for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious! Just visit Magnolia-licious Highlites blog for all the details! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Have a great day!
