Papertake Weekly, it's time for a recipe! I have some exciting news too!
It's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge, and this week it's time for a recipe challenge! Dawny is asking us to use whatever we want, but you have to use three of one thing, two of another, and one of another. This week we're being sponsored by the fabulous Wendy Hall with Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I'm excited to say that Wendy invited me to be on her design team, and of course I had to say yes! So please check back with me on Thursday for my first ever card for her Delightful challenges! WOOHOO!!!!
For my recipe today, I used three of two different things (flowers and stamps), two different DP, and one bow. The stamps are from Magnolia-licious Bon Voyage Collection, #215 Farewell Tilda (she's not in stock right now, but if you're interested, please just email Diana and she'll help you), #552 airplane, and #737 Miss you sentiment stamp.
I colored the flowers with my Copic ABS to match the colores used to color Tilda, and I love how they turned out. The circle behind Tilda was cut using circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities. Both Tilda and the airplane are colored with Copic markers and cut out so I could pop them up off the face of the card. I just hand cut some little clouds to put around the airplane.
Please be sure and pop over to Papertake weekly and check out the rest of the designers take on this challenge, and then grab your paper and glue and mix up your very own personal recipe! You might get lucky and win a fabulous prize from Digital Delights! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

What'th up?
Today, I got to make a card simply for the fun of it. I truly fell in love with this cutie pie when I found her last night! Her name is Tabatha and I love her tattered look! It's just so much fun! I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out so I could pop her up off the card. The shaped card was cut with my Cricut Expression using the Wild Card cartrdige. The word blurb and the question marks were cut using the Cuttin' Up cartridge. Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is digital, and the sentiment was just printed from the computer. Of course the bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon. That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Welcome to The Cutting Cafe' Neighborhood!
Happy Weekend everyone! I hope you're enjoying it so far. This card features a brand new set of digital images from The Cutting Cafe' called "Welcome Home". It has 55, yes that's right, 55 different images in this set! Amazing! And aren't the houses so cute??!! These are colored with Copic markers and the card is 9 x 3.5, and fits in a standard #10 business size envelope. I added a bow made from May Arts silk ribbon and then just added some red buttons on the right side. That's it and this card was done! How wonderful would it be to welcome someone to your neighborhood with a hand made card? I know it would sure make me feel like I had moved into the perfect neighborhood! Be sure and hop over to The Cutting Cafe and check out all the new sets that Regina has released lately! They're all fabulous! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Have an awesome weekend! Hugs!
THANK YOU BLOGGER! Love the new spam filter!!!
Please scroll down if you're looking for the
Wags 'n Whiskers Blog Hop!
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but the spam filter that Blogger has installed is the ultimate in fabulousness!!!! The other day, I got an email that I had received a comment on one of my posts. When I clicked on it to see what it was, I RACED to my blog, because it was a comment with the most VULGAR (and I do mean vulgar) statements. I clicked on the post so I could delete it really quickly, hopefully before anyone would have to see the nastiness. It was nowhere to be found on my post!!! I look in my spam, and WOOHOO BLOGGER!!! It's sitting there with about five or six of those asian symbol emails that kept showing up on my posts as well!!! I have not had one piece of spam post to my blog since they initiated it! I think I might have activated it by clicking on a few of the spam posts and clicking on the "report as spam" button they now have up. I'm not sure about how it started, I'm just really happy it did!! I just had to give them a huge shout out, cause now, there is really no more need for word verification. So I again send out my plea....please turn off your word verification. You don't need it to stop the spam, and I would greatly appreciate it when I visit you and want to comment! Have a great weekend everyone! HUGS!

Papertake Weekly - this week is sketch week!
Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! It's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge, and this week is sketch week! That means we're treated to another one of Dawny's fabulous sketches, and we're being sponsored by Whiff of Joy!! This card was unbelievably quick and easy to make! I'm talking maybe 15 minutes tops! And that's because I used this adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage from her Collection of Cuties! Peggy's vintage images are amazing and even though I always lean toward the "cutesy" images cause that's my style, there are some really beautiful images as well! Please pop over to her etsy shop to see the huge selection of vintage images she has to offer! Now is the perfect time to start on your Christmas cards with her vintage Santas or Snowmen!
The card base and punched border are done with Bazzill cardstock. The rest of the paper is from Pink Petticoat, ribbon is May Arts from Stamp and Create, and the flowers are Wild Orhid. Oh, and I used a Martha Stewart border punch. That's it other than sewing on the panels. Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see all the fabulous creations by the rest of the Design Team, then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Whiff of Joy! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back tomorrow for the first sneak peek at the new Wags 'n Whiskers release! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious blog hop - August Birthday Fun!!!
Welcome to the August blog hop for the Magnolia-licious DT! The theme for this month's hop is Birthday card and gift! This is in honor of Queen Diana as August is her birthday month! If you've hopped your way here via the awesomely talented Mindy, then you're in the right spot! If not, please go back and start at the beginning from the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog. I don't want you to miss one little bit of all the lucious eye candy everyone has prepared for you today. For my card, I chose to use #277 Bon Voyage Tilda from the brand new Bon Voyage collection. I just think she's adorable and SO versatile! The colors in the first pic are showing so red. Not sure why, but the colors in the next two pics are more accurate. It's actually a rusty color, not red.
She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up. There's lots of dimension as I also popped up the frame she's sitting on. The frame was cut with my Cricut and Just Becasue Cards cartridge. The sentiment is from a set called Birthday Fun from The Cutting Cafe'. I printed it and then cut it out with circle Nesties. I also used the Magnolia Doohickey tag! I cut it out twice in two different papers. Then I just tore off a piece from the paper with the musical notes on it, dirtied it up with some chalk ink and attached it to the cardstock tag.
For the gift portion of this set, I altered one of those wooden picture frames that are available at craft stores everywhere by covering it in DP. I cut the Celebrate with my Cricut in both shadow cardstock and then with the matching DP. I chose to use #3034 Midsummer Tilda from The Fairytale collection. She too is colored with Copic markers. To make the flower, I used the Peony Petals Doohickey. I simply added a spacer and a Basic Grey brad in the center of it. The bow is made with May Arts silk ribbon from which I hung a dragonfly charm, I also added some Kaiser flat backed pearls and just created some little flourishes with them. Sory it's such a terrible picture. The glare from the camera looks awful, and the pearls don't show up very well. It really does look much better in person than it does in the pic. All papers are Bazzill cardstock and Graphic 45.
So that's it for me today! Since birthdays are supposed to be full of surprises, if you're interested in winning your own little surprise from me, just leave me a comment on this post before midnight Pacific on Saturday August 21st. Now it's time to hop on over to the fantabulously talented Cheryl, to see what delicious project she's created for you! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Something old, something new, Something borrowed, something blue
Hi everyone! We made it through another Monday, and now it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly! This week we're being sponsored by Whiff of Joy! Dawny's challenge is this:
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. It's entirely up to you on which one you use! So it could be old stash, new stash, mostly blue, or you could even make a wedding card! I chose the "something new" and made a card for a brand new baby. I used a digital Dustin Pike image which is no longer available (so I guess that qualifies for the something old as well), but it is available in a slighty different version in rubber from High Hopes at Stamp and Create!
I also used some awesome May Arts silk ribbon with the bow easy that is also available at Stamp and Create. Please be sure and check out the rest of the fabulous creations the design team cooked up for this challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! You might win a fabulous prize from Whiff of Joy! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

The Cutting Cafe along with Magnolia Traveling Tilda
Hi everyone! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend! We're actually having a bit of a thunderstorm this afternoon! YAY! We hardly ever get rain or a thunderstorm, so I truly enjoy it when it comes around! It's really cooled things down., too! Isn't this Line Paper Notepad Set from The Cutting Cafe' awesome? I love it, and I think it's a fabulous gift! It was soooo quick and easy to make!
To decorate the front, I used a Martha Stewart border punch with a thin ribbon. Then I chose to color up one of my brand new Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious! I chose to use #377 Traveling Tilda from the new Bon Voyage collection. I also used a Magnolia note paper which doesn't appear to be in stock at the moment. Just email Diana if you're interested. They're colored with Copic markers.
skin: E11 and E00
dress and hat: YG21, YG23, YG25, YG67
hat flower: Y15, Y17, Y19
hat band: YR68
shoes: E31, E33, E35
Note: E50, E51, E53 and just a touch of E33
This is the inside. The Line Paper Notepad Set comes with a pdf file of note paper in different colors that you just print off on plain old copy paper and cut out. SOOOOO cute!!! It prints two sheets on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of copy paper. I leave a little bit of an edge on top, Then I ran my perforating tool across the sheet a little bit above the top green line of the line paper. I then glued the sheets together above the perforation line and then glued it the whole thing to the notepad. Voila! You can write what you want and just tear it neatly right out of the notepad!. Pretty cool, huh? It also comes wth the awesome envelope template too! I LOVE this set! And guess what...if you do too, Regina is being kind enough to have another giveaway!!! WOOHOO!! I will have a drawing to give the fabulous Cutting Cafe' Lined Paper Notepad Set away to one of the lucky people that leave a comment on this post before midnight next Thursday night, Aug 12th! I will make Friday the 13th lucky for one person by pulling the winner via random.org!! Be sure and check out The Cutting Cafe' for all of the fabulous new designs that Regina has released lately. Wags 'n Whiskers Triple Play!!
Woohoo!!!! We made it to Friday! It's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers, and this week's challenge is brought to us by the awesome, and oh so talented Chris!! Chris challenged us to a triple play this week. She said use three of something, doesn't matter what! I used three different pattern papers. For the challenge, I chose to use this adorable stamp called "Traveling Buddies". I adore this stamp! AND...it's available in both rubber AND digital form! YAY!!! It's available right now over at Wags 'n Whiskers! We'd love it if you'd play along with us for the challenge. You've got two weeks to complete it, so there's plenty of time!!
Now you might be surprised to know that I used a different marker to color this image! I received a set of Letraset ProMarkers and that's what I used to color it! The colors are really gorgeous, don't you think? They're alcohol ink and will even blend with your Copics! They're bright and vivid which I completely love! The only part of my image that is colored with Copics is the skin because I don't have any skin colors in the ProMarkers. If you're looking for someplace in the US to purchase them, you can get them through MacPherson's , and also at Carpe Diem.
Please be sure and visit Wags 'n Whiskers to see the amazing projects from the rest of the Divas! And while you're there, won't you please give a big, warm welcome to the new Diva memebers! Then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! But don't forget, in order to be eligible to win the prize, you MUST use a Wags 'n Whiskers image on your Triple Play project!
Chris, Tracy, Michele, Karen, Angelique, Tina, Jeanette, Debbie, Melanie, Louise, Crystal, Emma, Lacey, and Nikki
Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - White and Bright(s)
Welcome to Tuesday! It always feels good to get the Monday workday behind me. It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly. This week, the new challenge is White and Bright, and we're being sponsored by Whiff of Joy!! So you have to use white along with a bright color or colors. I don't think you can get much brighter than these bright, fun, Basic Grey papers! This adorable image is a digi image from Karen's Doodles called Movie Date, and I fell in love with it the first time I ever saw it! I had to have it. I've entered this card into the challenge over at Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog which is "Anything goes". This is the card I made for my hubby for our anniversary. Of course the outside says "Admit Two" and the inside says "To a life of happily ever after filled with comedy, drama, lots of love stories and "scenes behind the curtains"
I think I got just about everything I used for this card (other than the image) from Hallmark Scrapbook. The image is colored with Copic markers and the Ticket and tab were cut using my Cricut Expression, Gypsy, and Fabulous Finds cartridge. Did you see the price on this cart???? $24.99 at Hallmark Scrapbook! Unbelievable!! Just click on the link and it will take you right there. Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the designers fabulous creations with bright colors, and then grab your paper and glue and play along with us for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Whiff of Joy! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

T slide card - new Magnolia-licious DT challenge
Hi everyone! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend and that you're ready to start another week! Can you believe it's August 1st already?? I sure can't! Today is mine and hubby's 15th wedding anniversary! Seems like we just got married yesterday! I am truly a lucky lady to have found the love of my life that supports me in all my ventures. The one thing I've definitely noticed is that the older I get, the quicker the years go by. Anyone else notice that? Anyway, with it being the 1st of the month, it's time for a new challenge from the Magnolia-licious design team. This month's challenge is courtesy of the lovely and talented Mindy Baxter. Now I'm going to warn you, when Mindy gives a challenge, she REALLY gives a challenge! LOL! Her challenge is to make a T-slide card. You can find the directions HERE, and I strongly suggest you both read the pictorial, and also watch the video. Keep pausing the video as you go along to help you. And I would also strongly suggest doing a prototype before actually trying to cut your good paper so you can know what you're doing by the time you cut the pretty stuff.
For my card, I chose to use #3028 Tilda with 3 flowers, and she's available right now at Magnolia-licious! I also used #526 Bridge Deck which is also available. I just cut it out so I wouldn't have the water ripples around the base of it. That way, it just looks like a fence. They're colored with Copic Sketch markers and Tilda is popped up with dimensional tape. Papers are Bazzil Basics and Graphic 45.
This is the front of the card. When you pull the slider, the image pops up to reveal a sentiment under it. I used a clear stamp with a circle Nestability cut. I had to make my slider slit longer to fit the circle through it. It's not centered from left to right, but "oh well". Sometimes, things just don't turn out perfectly, do they! But after all that work, there was no way I was tearing it apart to start over! LOL! I still think it's cute, and fun too. Anyway, I hope you join us in the challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog! Wait until you see the GORGEOUS creations the rest of the design team have created! OMG! They are all so talented! I truly love them all! So be sure and check them all out and leave them some love!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
