Wags 'n Whiskers Handcrafted with Love

Woohoo!!! Happy Friday and it's a long weekend in the US! Right now, I've got my head buried in my paper and glue, creating away, and I'm happy as can be! It's time for a new challenge from Wag's 'n Whiskers, and this week, the challenge is from the awesome and extremely talented Melanie! Melanie is asking for us to use any handcrafted embellishment on our project. I used some of my crocheted lace along with this adorable image of Ansley and Princess called Ansley's Suprise. I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with petite circle nestabilities.

The papers are digital by Kay Miller and the flourishes were cut with my Cricut and I added some Stickles on them. Ribbon is May Arts silk and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Please be sure and visit the rest of the Divas to see their fabulous creations with their handmade embellies! Then we'd completely love it if you'd join us in the challenge on the Wags 'n Whiskers blog. But remember, to have a chance to win a new Wags 'n Whiskers stamp of your choice, you must use a WnW image for your project!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Tilda by Magnolia saying Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fabulous week! I don't know why I don't use lavenders and purples more often, cause I truly think the color lavender is gorgeous. So I truly don't understand my phobia for using this color, but I decided to give it a shot and this is what I came up with. This particular stamp, Tilda Holding Lamb, was from the new Easter Collection this spring. Sorry, she's not in stock right now. If you're interested in her, please email Diana at Magnolia-licious. I also used #521 Butterfly Background stamp (which is on sale right now) and the Magnolia paper pack A Little Yummy For Your Tummy collection.

The images are colored with Copic markers. The panels are machine stitched and Tilda is cut out and popped up for dimension. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the silk ribbon from Stamp and Create. That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Sketch week!

First I want to apologize if I haven't been by to see you on your blog lately (or even emailed). I'm so busy spring cleaning, and on top of that, I'm trying to get ready for my grandson's visit in two weeks. I'm desperately trying to get June's DT assignments done before he gets here so I don't have to worry about them when he's here. I plan on spending lots of time getting cuddles and kisses. So please forgive my absence in the coming month. :)

Welcome to another challenge from Papertake Weekly! This week, it's a sketch challenge from the fabulous Dawny and we're being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. As soon as I saw this digi image, I knew I had to have it. It's from Digi Doodle Shop and it's called All Dressed Up. She's colored with Copic markers and I believe the papers are Melissa Frances. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Ribbon and Spellbinders Fancy Tags are from Stamp and Create.

Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see all the designers take on the sketch challenge, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us! You just might get lucky and win a fabulous prize from Simon Says Stamp!
Thanks for stopping by to see me todayand hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

They work extremely hard and deserve a standing ovation. I tip my glass to you fabulous ladies!! Now....If you've been hopping along, then you know we've all made explosion boxes! This is the first one I've ever done and it was fun! I made mine into a photo explosion box, so there's LOTS of room for embellies and photos inside. I will post the dimensions at the very end for those of you that want to know how I did it. Until then I will be quiet, as there are lots of photos to this one.

Lid to box

exploded box
I guess I'm back to my old ways as none of the three Magnolia stamps I used are in stock right now at Magnolia-licious. If you're interested, please just send Diana an email! So sorry!!!! So now for the fun part, if you would like to win a Magnolia stamp, just leave a comment on this post before midnight Pacific on Friday, May 21st, and I'll announce the winner on Saturday, May 22nd. Now head on over to the fabulously talented Becca to see what she has come up with. I haven't seen it, but I know it will be gorgeous! Becca's post will not go live until 7am EST, so if you're earlier than that, please be sure to check back to her later.
SIZES USED for my box:
cardstock - one piece 12"x12", one piece 10 1/2" x 10 1/2", and one piece 9"x9"
score each piece as follows:
12x12 - score at 4" and 8" so you end up with nine 4" squares
10 1/2x 10 1/2 - score at 3 1/2 and 7 same as above (you want nine 3 1/2" squares)
9 x 9 - score at 3" anc 6" same as above (nine squares at 3")
When this is done, cut out the four corner squares from each size so you have three different sized crosses.
After finishing them with your choice of DP, glue the center square of 10 1/2" to the center square of 12". Then glue the center square of the 9" piece to the center square of the 10 1/2" piece.
For the lid - with a 6 1/4" square of cardstock, score at 1" all the way around. You will have four corners pieces where the score marks overlapped. Make a slit down one side of each of the corner flaps, cutting only until you reach the box top. Fold flaps down crisply using a bone folder, and glue corner flaps securely in place with Scor tape.
Decorate and add pictures!
Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions. Thanks so much for joining us on our blog hop today! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!!

Wags 'n Whiskers pink and green challenge

Happy Friday!!!!! And wow is it ever going to be a beautiful weekend here! We've been having some pretty lousy spring weather, but that's hopefully getting ready to change. The one thing about Reno, is that it will go from 50 deg days to 95 deg days almost overnight.

This weeks challenge at Wags 'n Whiskers is from the awesome Nikki, and it's to use pink and green on your project. Love it!!! So I grabbed this adorable stamp from the new collection "Fun in the Sun" called Picnic With a Friend and colored it with Copic markers.

The papers are from Nitwits and cardstock is Bazzill. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and that bow was made with silk ribbon and the Bow Easy from Stamp and Create. That precious heart charm is also from Stamp and Create. I LOVE them cause it has just a little tinkle to it when you shake it. Please be sure and check out all the Divas blogs to see their gorgeous pink and green creations. They're really put together some amazing eye candy for you!!

Lacey, Karen, Michele, Debbie, Chris, Jeanette, Melanie, Tina, Nikki, Renata, Christa, and Jacqui
