Papertake Weekly - New Year New Stash!!

This adorable guy is called Willard, and he's from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! He's one of my all time favs! He's not new, but the sentiment is, but it's buried right now and I can't remember what the brand is (so sorry!!), and the snowflake border die is also new (Noor design).

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes!! - Burtterfly mobile

Hey everyone!! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly! This week it's anything goes sponsored by the awesome people over at Lili of the Valley! There is an option to make something to celebrate something new. So today I'm showing you the butterfly mobile I made for the birth of my new little granddaughter, Sophie. I had been wanting to make one of these since I found out we were finally having a little girl added to the family,  so I googled and found all kinds of instructions on how to make them. I actually took about three different versions and chose what I liked best from them to end up making my own version. I will say it was quite an undertaking, and it was a lot of work. But I am very pleased with the results of my efforts. With just a touch of air current, the butterflies flutter beautifully! I hope Sophie enjoys it for many, many years to come.  I cut all the butterflies (body and shadow) with the Silhouette, then punctured a hole through the center of it with a paper piercer. I then threaded jewelry cord through them. I started with seven per strand, and worked my way to four per strand on the inside shorter ones.

Wow! I guess it's been a while since I've posted!! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous start to the new year! I'm feeling very excited for 2014. I just feel like it's going to be an awesome year!

Hey everyone! So...are you ready for Christmas yet? Is that a loaded question? LOL! I've still got so much to get done. This year is so much worse than normal because Thanksgiving was so late. So I'm going to really try to remember this next year. LOL! Think it will work? I doubt it, but that won't stop me from trying. :)  I wanted to show you a Valentine's Day card I made using the adorable Stinker image from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. Hi everyone!! Hope you're enjoying the holidays and that you're staying nice and warm with all the frigid weather! Since it's Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week Dawny is asking for your projects to have a Christmas Critter. Can't wait to see all the adorable critters out there!! We are sponsored by the fabulous folks over at Whiff of Joy!!  I created a set of fun Christmas tags from some print and cut critters I got from the Silhouette store!!

The papers are Handmade Holiday from Simple Stories matted with Bazzill cardstock
The to and from tags were also a print and cut file created with the Silhouette edged with some chalk ink
Added a couple of buttons and called her done. The critters are popped up off the tag for more visual interest.
