Papertake Weekly - Time to get krafty!!

Hey everyone! Monday is overwith (yaaaay!) and it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly! This week, Dawny is asking us all to get krafty with kraft cardstock somewhere on your project. I used this adorable sweetie from the Sweet Crazy Love 2012 collection over at Magnolia-licious. She's #240 Tilda with wrapped heart, and she's the sweetest little thing!! I don't see her in stock right now in the regular size, But Diana does have the mini available here.

She's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen white paper and then colored with Copic markers. The DP's are from Nitiwit Collections matted with Bazzill cardstock and kraft paper from PTI. The sentiemnt is also on kraft paper and then cut out with a Spellbinder die.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and that pretty little butterfly is from a trio set of Cheery Lynn Designs dies which was a wonderful gift from my friend Linda! Thank you Linda and see you Friday night! (We're having a Copic Color and Crop til you drop night...can you say FUN??!!!!) The last thing I added were the pearls from a pearl pen. I was totally devastated as the pen dripped onto the bottom of the card as I went to put a single pearl in the bottom right corner next to the flowers. Once it dripped, that was it...there was no getting if off there. So I looked at it and tried to figure out how to cover it up. I wasn't about to ditch the whole card cause everything was stuck down tight and would have been ruined had I tried to take it all apart. So in trying to figure out what I could stick in the corner, I punched some leaves. It covers it mostly, but if you look closely, you can still see the smudge peeking out a little. UGH!  There was something up with that lower right corner as I'd already messed up the punch around the page by pushing down the punch again after already punching the corner. Sometimes, things just don't work out...but we're lucky that we have so many wonderful kinds of embellishments to cover those mistakes up!! LOL!  Uh oh...now I've given up all my mistakes, the person that gets this card will think it's a piece of garbage! LOL! What have I done??!!

Magnolia-licious Sweet Crazy Love Blog Hop

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday! yeah - I know, I know...Mondays are usually not the happiest day of the week. BUT...the Magnolia-licious Design Team is having our monthly blog hop today, which makes it pretty happy! Especially since we're featuring the fabulous new images from the Sweet Crazy Love collection! How do these images just keep getting cuter and cuter??!!  So if you've arrived here from seeing the amazing work of Angie, then you're on the right track. Trust me!  Here's what I've cooked up for you today, a book card.

First I want to apologize, cause it's really tough to get good pictures of these book cards. I love how this project turned out, but the pictures are pretty bad. If you'd like to know how to make one of these, just click on the tutorials tab up above. For my card, I've featured three of these amazing new Tilda images from the Sweet Crazy Love collection available at Magnolia-licious, #282 Tilda Sending Love Letters,  #225 Tilda with Daisy, and #236 Tilda with Cozy Heart.  The "I Love You" stamp is from Sweet Crazy Love as well, but I can't find the number on it right now.

See what I mean about the pictures.  Sorry!  There's lots of machine stitching and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. On the inside left, there's a pocket to slip a tag with a personal note inside.

Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love

Have you seen the new Sweet Crazy Love Collection over at Magnolia-licious?? Oh my goodness, I think I have to have every single one of them! LOL! They're ADORABLE!!  It's time for a new challenge over at PaperPlay Challenges and they're sponsored this week by Destination Art.  You could win a $25.00 AUD store voucher! This is also for the Magnolia-licious Design Team Challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites. The amazingly talented Cheryl gave us a challenge of "anything goes".

I used this adorable #282 Tilda Sending Love Letters. It looks like she's sold out right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if Diana doesn't have more of her on the way. She' stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers.  Her clothes are colored with RV91, 93, and 95, her skin is E13, 11, 01, and 00. I used T grays for the whites and I don't remember what colors I used on her hair.

DP's are My Mind's Eye Blush matted with Bazzill cardstock. Tilda is cut out with oval Nesties and there's lots of machine stitching. The butterfly was cut out using the Cricut. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts silk. I also used a black pearl pen.
