Today I'm showing you a card where I only used the front half of a AI Spinner Set. He's #4573 Frosting Spinner.  I just love this little mouse holding the cupcake!

This gorgeous ribbon was a freebie I got from somewhere. Sorry I have no idea where.

Life is Short featuring Art Impressions Spinners

Happy weekend! I sure hope you're enjoying the last bit of August before we head into September! I can't believe how quickly this year is going.  So have you tried any of the AI Spinners from Art Impressions yet? They are SO much fun!! Today I'm showing you Frosting Spinner (sku# 4573) and I cut it out quickly and easily using the Frosting Spinner Dies (sku# 4615).

 

 

Now one of the challenges of the Spinner stamps is that I really don't want my sentiment showing through to the front of the card and taking the attention away from the adorable spinner. So what I did is cut the standard 4.25" x 5.5" card base.  Then when I layered the inside panel, I cut a piece that was double the width of my normal layered mat, scored it and glued it to the card base so it turned the card into a trifold. I usually leave a 1/16" border , so I cut the yellow piece of cardstock at 5 3/8" x 8 1/4". Then scored it at 4 1/8".  Make sense?

 

 

That way, you get the clean look for the spinner, and still get your sentiment on the inside of the card.

Art Impressions - Eat the Frosting!
