Papertake Weekly and Peggy Loves Vintage

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a marvelous start to your week! It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week it's Anything Goes with the option of using Yellow. Of course as you can see, I didn't take advantage of using yellow, which surprises me immensely as it's my favorite color. Sheesh!! I need to get with it!! :)   We are sponsored this week by Lili of the Valley!

For my card today, I've chosen to work with my fabulous sister's images from Peggy Loves Vintage!! It feels like it's been forever since I've used one of her awesome images!!  This adorable scene is from her Collection of Cuties Volume 2 cd! She has a number of ways you can purchase from her.... there is her Etsy shop, her Ebay shop, her own web page, and she also has an Art Fire shop. You'll find links to all of them on her blog!

Isn't it precious? It truly looks SO much better in person as I had a hard time with the lighting for my pic. If you love vintage images, you're going to love Peggy Loves Vintage! Please check out her blog, and you'll find she likes to give away freebies..... in fact there's one on her blog right now!! Don't forget to leave her some love to thank her, and be sure to follow her so you don't miss out on the next one!!! So that's it for me today. Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to see all my teamies gorgeous creations. Papertake Weekly and Peggy Loves Vintage

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and we're being sponsored the fabulous shop The Ribbon Girl! I seriously want to enter this challenge as I would like to have some of everything they've got in their shop! LOL! Dawny is asking us to use Buttons, Bows, Bling, and Blooms. Fun, huh? You can use one or all of them, but you must use at least one. For my card today, I used one of my favorite companies Peggy Loves Vintage!  It's truly wonderful to be able to pick one of these amazing vintage images, print it out, and make a fabulous card in minutes instead of hours!!

This adorable image is from Peggy's Collection of Cuties 2!! LOOOOVE them! She's got a collection of vintage images that would be perfect for whatever you're looking for! So if you've never been there to look around, and you like vintage images, what the heck are you waiting for? LOL! Hop over to Peggy Loves Vintage and check them all out! I'd recommend following her blog as well. She LOVES to give away free images!   The Dp's are Pion Design from a friend (thank you so much!!) matted with Bazzill cardstock. I added some lace from my stash and used one of my old Martha Stewart heart border punch. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and I also used some May Arts silk ribbon, a button, and used my pearl pen. I also did some machine stitching.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see all my talented teamies creations for this challenge! And then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

PaperPlay Challenge - Tags and Wrapping

Hi everyone! It's Thursday and time for a new challenge over at PaperPlay Challenges! This week, our wonderful Deidra is asking you to make your own tags and wrapping in a Holiday theme. We're being sponsored this week  by the amazing Heidi over at Simon Says Stamp!!  So for my project, I turned to both my Cricut Expression, and my sis over at Peggy Loves Vintage!! Peggy just released a new DVD full of wonderful vintage Christmas images, her Christmas volume 14.  I was looking through and found this beautiful scene of carolers and just had to use it!

I simply printed it out onto my Bazzill cardstock and cut it out with some oval Nesties. The papers are from Graphic 45 matted with Bazzill cardstock.  I used kraft cardstock for the bag, and the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge. The kraft cardstock made the bag really sturdy. I added some flowers and ribbon and called it a day! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage and see all the fabulous images Peggy has available, and then pop over to PaperPlay Challenges to see the gorgeous creations from my teamies and to play along.  Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - sketch week!

Oh gosh, I am so late in putting up my card for Papertake Weekly! I am so out of kilter! I am really hoping I can get back on schedule after this weekend. So anyway, it's sketch week over at PTW, and I LOVE Dawny's sketches! They're always amazing and it takes all the guesswork out of making a card.  Since it's the last Tuesday of the month, that means we're being sponsored by the amazing and generous Simon Says Stamp!

First, here's a look at Dawny's awesome sketch

And this is what I did with it!

For my card, I used some of my scrap paper from Three Bugs in a Rug matted by Bazzill cardstock. The doily is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs and the cute elephant is an image from Peggy Love's Vintage. It's on her Collection of Cuties CD.  Loooooove it!!! I mean seriously...can you go wrong with a pink gingham elephant? LOL! I just used one of my clear stamps on it's little note and doodled around the edge. I printed it out twice on my paper and cut them both out.  They're both mounted with dimensional tape.  The flowers and corners are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from Stamp and Create.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the gorgeous creations. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and put Dawny's sketch to good use! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!  Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Sketch Week

Hi everyone! I'm soooo excited cause we're actually getting some spring weather instead of blizzards! LOL! It was sunny all day yesterday and in the 50's, and then we're supposed to be in the high 70's by Friday! It might rain next weekend, but I don't care! It's still not going to be yucky snow! LOL! Moving on from the weathr report, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly!! We get to play with one of Dawny's fabulous sketches, and we are sponsored this week by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp!

For my card,  I used one of Peggy's cute Easter Cutouts from Peggy Loves Vintage. It's so very easy to make cards using her images! You just print one out, mat it, and attach it to your card! I think I've said it before, about the only way it's going to get any easier is to walk into a store and buy a card! Be sure and visit Peggy's blog and become a follower! She loves to give away free images!!

Cardstock is Bazzill, DP is from Nitwit Collections, flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts 100% silk from Stamp and Create. I added machine stitching and popped up each individual panel. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the dimension this time.  Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of my talented teamies creations. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!
hugs!

Papertake Weekly and Peggy Loves Vintage!

Happy Tuesday! I love it when Monday is behind us (except when I'm on vacation! LOL!) This week, we have a sketch challenge at Papertake Weekly by the amazing Dawny Phillips! And we're being sponsored by my awesome sister, Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy has the most fantastic vintage images! These images are NOT clip art! She collects scrapbooks full of copyright free (now copyrighted by Peggy) vintage cards from the 40's, 50', and 60's, scans them in, cleans them up, and then makes them available to all of us on either cd or over the internet. Also, be sure to visit her blog. She has a couple free ADORABLE images available for you right now!! One of them is perfect for any Christmas project you've got going for US troops! Just click on the pic and then save it to your computer. Doesn't get any easier!

Peggy sent Dawny some images for us to use for our sketch cards this week. I chose to use this adorable jolly Santa. This particular image was on a red background, and I didn't think it allowed Santa to shine enough, so I just cut him out and then popped him up for dimension. The papers I used are Basic Grey and Pink Petticoat digis. along with Bazzil cardstock. I also added some Kaiser pearls to the corners.

Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to see all the fabulous creations the rest of the DT came up with, and then grab your paper and glue to play along. Link your project up to the challenge post, and you might win a prize from Peggy Loves Vintage! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Peggy Loves Vintage

Here's a really quick card I put together with items from Peggy Loves Vintage. Isn't she the most precious thing you've ever seen? I just love her! And Peggy has some big plans for the future, so be sure and keep an eye out! I just printed this adorable image from one of her sheets of cutouts, mounted it on a scalloped rectangle cut with the Cricut Expression and the Storybook cartridge, and added some Prima flowers. The only other thing I added was a Martha Stewart punched border where the two papers meet. I think the only way it would get easier is to walk into a card shop and buy one!! You can shop with Peggy just about any way you prefer. She has an etsy shop, an ebay shop, and a web shop! She's also offering up an adorable FREE winter image on her blog! Such fun!! So be sure and head over there to check it out. She has the most amazing Christmas images I've ever seen! You'll be seeing me use quite of few of them for my Christmas cards, that's for sure. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!!

Happy Birthday Peggy!!

Today is my sister's birthday, so my post today is to honor her. I can remember when we were growing up, I wanted to be exactly like her. I wanted to go everywhere she went, do everything she did, and I have absolutely no doubt that I probably drove her crazy. LOL! And even though I drove her crazy, she was -and always has been - there for me when I needed her. She has become the matriarch of our family - a role she slid right into after our Mom passed away. And I still look up to her and strive to be like her. So when I saw this image by Mo from Digital Image Too titled "Sisters", I knew I had to have it for her Birthday card. It encompasses that amazing feeling of what it's like to have a big sister that always takes care of you and is there for you when you need her. Whether it be to tie your shoes, or give a hug. So today is the day to celebrate her. Thank you, Peggy, for everything you've always done for me. I'm so proud to be able to say you're my sis!

I knew I should have done this post after I finished the card, cause I honestly can't remember who the paper is by. I do know the cardstock is Bazzil and the image is colored with Copic markers which are pictured below. That awesome raffia lace I used was a gift from my wondeful friend, Jacque, and I love it. If you're interested, I have seen it in Bunny Zoe's shop. The flowers were cut using my Cricut Expression, and so was the scalloped square behind the stamped image.

Happy Birthday, Peggy!!!! I love you and I hope your day is fabulous!
Thanks for stopping by today to visit, and hope to see you back again soon! I'd love it if you would visit Peggy and take a look at her awesome vintage images. I think you'll like what you see! HUGS!

Catch a Falling Star - Peggy Loves Vintage

Yay! Tomorrow is Friday! I love Friday! Today I have a really easy and quick card I made. And I do mean easy and quick, maybe all of about 15 minutes!!! All I had to do was print out this adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage, cut out a frame with my Sizzix die, cut a strip of cardstock to match the frame and used my MS border punch on it. I ran the Sizzix frame through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. The polkadot paper is a digi download from Pink Petticoat. Added some green buttons with some little twine bows. That's it! That's what I love about Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy's images allow you to make a beautiful card in just a few minutes!!

So please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage and take a peek around at all the fabulous vintage images she has available! If you like vintage, you will love Peggy Loves Vintage!

Peggy Loves Vintage - Isn't it cute, honey??

Oh how I fell in love with this image from Peggy Loves Vintage. Isn't it so much fun??? The look on poor hubby's face is just priceless! This image is from a new page of cutouts from Peggy Loves Vintage. It's called All About Hats 2.
I just printed out the sheet of cutouts and cut the image out I wanted. If you don't want to print out the entire sheet to use, what I do is open up the entire sheet with my photo editing software, and then crop it down to save each picture as a dfferent file. It works great, and then allows you to only print one image at a time instead of the entire sheet.

I used a word bubble cut with my Expression machine and the Cuttin Up cartridge. The flourish is cut from my new Sweethearts cartridge, the flower is cut from George, and the frame around the cute image was cut from my Storybook cartridge. I added some stitching around the outside of the card base and then zig zagged around the image itself.
Please be sure and check out the adorable images available at Peggy Loves Vintage. They make the cutest cards!!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!
HUGS!

Thank you card set from Peggy Loves Vintage

Hi everyone! If you were lucky enough to have a three day weekend, I sure hope you enjoyed yours as much as I did mine! The weather was perfect for September. Now it's time to go back to work. UGH! This is one of the projects I was able to complete during my weekend. It went together so quickly! All the cards I make with the vintage images from Peggy Loves Vintage are so quick and easy. And I think the images are just too cute to resist!

This set was made by just printing out the Darling Little Boys 2 Cutouts (they're on page five right now). I just trimmed them out of the sheet and mounted them on a scalloped frame from my Nesties.

I cut various stars out with my Cricut from the George cartridge, inked up the edges and used one of those dollar stamps from Michael's on the larger star. For the smaller stars, I just tied a ribbon with some twine from PTI.

I made them all tent topper cards. I just think these images lend themselves so well to tent toppers. All you have to do is cut a sheet of cardstock to 8 1/2" x 4 1/4", then fold in half so it measures 4 1/4" square. Then mount your image to the top if the card so the final card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Easy peasy!

The DP is from 3 Bugs in a rug, and the cardstock is Bazzill. I made the scalloped edge with my Fiskars border punch. I also took a jewelry box and decorated it to hold the set of cards. They fit in there perfectly and I think it makes for a very nice presentation.

That's if for today! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage. She's putting up all her holiday cd's and cutouts, and has a HUGE assortment to choose from!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

It's part of a set from Peggy Loves Vintage called Darling Boys 2. It has the cutest vintage images of young boys on it! Be sure and pop over to Peggy's shop to check it out! They make such quick work of a card! Just choose your image, print it out and glue it to paper. It doesn't get any easier!

Hot Hot Hot - It's Stinkin Hot!

Hi everyone! I am knee deep in cuddles and kisses right now from my little grandson that came to visit me today! See this humungous smile that is plastered on my face? I've got some posts scheduled for the next three weeks, but I apologize in advance for not being able to visit you very much and see all your fabulous work as much as I like. But like I said...I'm knee deep in cuddles and kisses. :)

Well, I don't know how your weather is, but here it's been HOT!!! So hot that this cute little chickie is wearing nothing but a pair of heels and holding a fan of feathers! LOL! Isn't this card fun? That fun circle stamp is from The Cutting Cafe' , a set called Summer Word Circles.
I just printed it out on my cardstock and then cut it out with my nesties. In fact the whole card was made with my circle Nestabilities. That adorable girl is from Peggy Loves Vintage and a sheet of vintage images called sexy ladies. Isn't she cute? I just printed it out and cut it out. She's popped up off the card for dimension.

That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today! I truly appreciate all your support and your kind comments! You are what keeps me going every day! Big hugs!

Summer Memories with Peggy Loves Vintage and The Cutting Cafe'

Remember the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer? Those are some of the sweetest memories. And that's exactly what the images from Peggy Loves Vintage brings to mind. They take me right back to my childhood and all of those fun memories of summer days. This particular image is from a sheet of images that Peggy sells called Darling Little Boys 1. This is just one of six adorable images from that sheet. All you have to do is print it out and attach it to some cardstock. And Voila, you have an awesome card or layout embellishment! Please be sure and check out all of Peggy's vintage images. They're so fun and easy to use!

The circle tag is from The Cutting Cafe'. Isn't it awesome? It's from a set called Summer Word Circle Set. I simply printed it off in the size I wanted (Regina's file contains three different sizes) and then cut it out with my Nestabilities. I just LOVE Regina's downloadable stamps! They're soooo versatile! Be sure and check out her shop. She has tons of sets to choose from! Keep watching too, cause when she releases a new stamp, you get a chance to win a free one!

Friends through thick and thin - Peggy Loves Vintage

I LOVE this set of images from Peggy Loves Vintage! This one is from a sheet of dowloadable vintage images called Spa Time. Aren't they just the cutest little pair of friends you've ever seen? I love, love, love them.
I truly adore Peggy's images because I can make a card up sooo quick, and still have it turn out so stinkin cute! All I did was print out this cute little image, mount them on some Bo Bunny double dot paper, added some embellies, and voila!! A cute card in just a few minutes!

I also love this tag (#595) that is a new stamp I got from Magnolia-licious. It's from the new Graduation series that is available now. I stamped the tag and ran it through my printer for the sentiment. Soooo easy! Then gave it some color to match the rest of the card with my Copics.

Be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage to check out all her awesome Vintage images. If you like vintage, you're going to fall in love with this shop!!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

My Oh My Oh My Peggy Loves Vintage and The Cutting Cafe'!!

Now how fun is THIS for a get well card. LOL! You have to read the sentiment on the inside first. And then, for a signature, I wrote *make sure you follow doctor's orders!". This fun, fun little inebriated guy is from a sheet of downloadable vintage images from Peggy Loves Vintage. Oh my gosh, they're so fun to play with. This one is from a set called "Bad Boys". heehee
The fabulous sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe', from an awesome set called Chunky Phrases. SO MUCH FUN!!! I just colored it up with my Copic markers. I'm telling you, when you combine Peggy Loves Vintage with The Cutting Cafe', you can't go wrong!!

Paper is Basic Grey Lime Rickey, and so is the button. Twine is from PTI and ribbon is from J's. Hope this makes them smile just a little with all they've been through. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Peggy Loves Vintage - Sweet Little Girls

Seriously....does it get any cuter than this?? LOL! I am really loving these vintage images from Peggy Loves Vintage!! Of course I love Peggy more, but...well.....you know.... hehe (Peggy is my sister). Anyway, she has added some images in a little different way to her etsy shop.

You can now purchase a "sheet" of images and immediately download them to your computer. And these are from her Sweet Little Girls sets. What do you think? Do you love them as much as I do????

I simply printed them onto my cardstock, cut them out, and mounted them on scalloped frames which I cut with my Expression and Storybook cartridge. Easy enough for you? This little girl printed out just a little bigger than I expected for the scalloped frame I had. So I simply cut her out and popped her up for dimesion. I LOVE her ringlets!!!!

I used a new Fiskars border punch across the bottom, with just another little strip of paper that I cut with my decorative scissors. (GASP!) I can't believe I used them!

The pink DP is by My Mind's Eye, and the blue if from Imaginisce. Cardstock is Bazzill.

I left them blank thinking they would be adorable for just about any kind of occasion. These are "tent topper" cards, and are a standard A2 card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). You simply cut your card base out at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2". Score at 4 1/4" down the long edge, which makes your card base measure 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". Then simply attach your topper onto your base, so that it sticks up off the top of the base by 1 1/4", taking the heigth of your card to 5 1/2". Easy peasy!

Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage. If you love images from old vintage cards, you are going to love her products!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! It's going to be in the 90's here this weekend. What happened to spring??? HUGS!
