Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly. It's the first Tuesday of the month, which means the challenge is Anything Goes and as the 10th is Mother's Day in the UK, the option this week is to make a Mother's Day card or a card for a special woman/girl. We are sponsored by the fabulous Lili of the Valley. For my card today, I used an adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage and it's from the original Collection of Cuties cd. If you love Vintage images, you are in for a treat! Please also be sure and visit her blog and become a follower. Not only does Peggy love vintage, Peggy also loves to give away free images! If you follow her blog, you will be sure to see when she's posted a new fabulous freebie!  Sorry...I really had trouble with this pic. It's MUCH cuter in person.

I printed the image on Bazzill cardstock just cause I like the way the vintage images look on it. It's cut out with a circle Nestability and machine stitched. This was a very fast card to make. That's what I really love about Peggy Loves Vintage. It's easy to make an awesome card in just a few minutes! I added the bow, some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, and a sentiment cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I also used one of the Punch Around the Page sets from Martha Stewart and used that as the outside frame of the card.  Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all the gorgeous creations by the rest of the team, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope you come back again soon! Hugs!

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a marvelous start to your week! It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week it's Anything Goes with the option of using Yellow. Of course as you can see, I didn't take advantage of using yellow, which surprises me immensely as it's my favorite color. Sheesh!! I need to get with it!! :)   We are sponsored this week by Lili of the Valley!

For my card today, I've chosen to work with my fabulous sister's images from Peggy Loves Vintage!! It feels like it's been forever since I've used one of her awesome images!!  This adorable scene is from her Collection of Cuties Volume 2 cd! She has a number of ways you can purchase from her.... there is her Etsy shop, her Ebay shop, her own web page, and she also has an Art Fire shop. You'll find links to all of them on her blog!

Papertake Weekly and Peggy Loves Vintage

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and we're being sponsored the fabulous shop The Ribbon Girl! I seriously want to enter this challenge as I would like to have some of everything they've got in their shop! LOL! Dawny is asking us to use Buttons, Bows, Bling, and Blooms. Fun, huh? You can use one or all of them, but you must use at least one. For my card today, I used one of my favorite companies Peggy Loves Vintage!  It's truly wonderful to be able to pick one of these amazing vintage images, print it out, and make a fabulous card in minutes instead of hours!!

This adorable image is from Peggy's Collection of Cuties 2!! LOOOOVE them! She's got a collection of vintage images that would be perfect for whatever you're looking for! So if you've never been there to look around, and you like vintage images, what the heck are you waiting for? LOL! Hop over to Peggy Loves Vintage and check them all out! I'd recommend following her blog as well. She LOVES to give away free images!   The Dp's are Pion Design from a friend (thank you so much!!) matted with Bazzill cardstock. I added some lace from my stash and used one of my old Martha Stewart heart border punch. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and I also used some May Arts silk ribbon, a button, and used my pearl pen. I also did some machine stitching.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see all my talented teamies creations for this challenge! PaperPlay Challenge - Tags and Wrapping

Hi everyone! It's Thursday and time for a new challenge over at PaperPlay Challenges! This week, our wonderful Deidra is asking you to make your own tags and wrapping in a Holiday theme. We're being sponsored this week  by the amazing Heidi over at Simon Says Stamp!!  So for my project, I turned to both my Cricut Expression, and my sis over at Peggy Loves Vintage!! Peggy just released a new DVD full of wonderful vintage Christmas images, her Christmas volume 14.  I was looking through and found this beautiful scene of carolers and just had to use it!

I simply printed it out onto my Bazzill cardstock and cut it out with some oval Nesties. The papers are from Graphic 45 matted with Bazzill cardstock.  I used kraft cardstock for the bag, and the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge. The kraft cardstock made the bag really sturdy. I added some flowers and ribbon and called it a day! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage and see all the fabulous images Peggy has available, and then pop over to PaperPlay Challenges to see the gorgeous creations from my teamies and to play along.  Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - sketch week!

Oh gosh, I am so late in putting up my card for Papertake Weekly! I am so out of kilter! I am really hoping I can get back on schedule after this weekend. So anyway, it's sketch week over at PTW, and I LOVE Dawny's sketches! They're always amazing and it takes all the guesswork out of making a card.  Since it's the last Tuesday of the month, that means we're being sponsored by the amazing and generous Simon Says Stamp!

First, here's a look at Dawny's awesome sketch

And this is what I did with it!

For my card, I used some of my scrap paper from Three Bugs in a Rug matted by Bazzill cardstock. The doily is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs and the cute elephant is an image from Peggy Love's Vintage. It's on her Collection of Cuties CD.  Loooooove it!!! I mean seriously...can you go wrong with a pink gingham elephant? LOL! I just used one of my clear stamps on it's little note and doodled around the edge. I printed it out twice on my paper and cut them both out.  They're both mounted with dimensional tape.  The flowers and corners are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from Stamp and Create.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the gorgeous creations. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and put Dawny's sketch to good use! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!  Hugs!

Craft Us Crazy challenge sponsored by Peggy Loves Vintage!!

Hi everyone!! Hope you're having a wonderful week and that you're now ready for the upcoming weekend! I know I sure am! Before I get on to my card, I wanted to show you a pic of  three of my grandsons. They're all currently having a blast down at Disneyland all week and I miss them all terribly! You can see poor Chris's face. He was riding his scooter and had an arguement with the asphalt! Poor little guy! Just two days before they left! He was devistated that Mickey Mouse was going to see him looking like this! I need to teach that young'un on how to catch himself when he falls!!  Anyway, that's Chris with the poor little road rashed face, JJ is standing beside him and little Benny is in front.  These little guys are my pride and joy!!!

So now on with my card....My sister Peggy from Peggy Loves Vintage is sponsoring the new challenge over at Craft Us Crazy! The challenge is either Christmas in July and/or Distressed Vintage. Your choice or you can even combine the two. I have to admit that I have been VERY busy with a houseful, so I made an extremely simple card for the challenge. Peggy supplied some images to the Craft Us Crazy DT, so I used one of those images for my card.

I simply printed the image out on white Bazzill cardstock, and then double matted the image with more Bazzill cardstock. The DP is from Barely Mine, the ribbon is May Arts silk ribbon, and the charm is from my stash. See that gorgeous lace? I hit the mother lode when I was visiting Peggy last week! We went rummaging through an antique shop and they had loads of lace in packages for like a buck and a buck fifty! I snagged every bag with the laces I loved! I was in lace heaven!!

Don't know if you've been to visit Peggy Loves Vintage, but she has the most amazing collection of vintage images! She offers collections on cd's, and she also offers cut out sheets. They are so wonderful for making a quick card! So please be sure and pop over to Peggy Loves Vintage to check it all out!  Don't forget about her blog where she loves to give away free images! Be sure to sign up to follow her so you don't miss any! Also please be sure to visit Craft Us Crazy to see all the amazing creations from her talented design team, and play along with the challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Peggy! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage "what's cookin'?"

Hey everyone! I'm sooooo glad it's Friday! And a 3 day weekend in the States as well! WOOHOO!!  The weather isn't going to be very nice (they're even talking snow for Sunday morning), so I'm planning on staying inside and getting some crafting done. My card today features another adorable vintage image from Peggy Loves Vintage.  All her images are so great for making a fabulous card quickly!  I printed her on Bazzill cardstock and cut her out from the background.  She's popped up from a circle Nestie. The DP's are from Nitwit Collections.

I paired her up with a sentiment from The Cutting Cafe set called What's Cooking. I love using Regina's sentiements with Peggy's images. For the horizontal panel, I used a Martha Stewart border punch, and then edged the vertical panel with some beautiful lace from Bunny Zoe's Crafts. That big beautiful bow was made with May Arts Silk ribbon from Stamp and Create, and the charm is from my stash, so I have no idea where I got it from

A slightly angled pic to help show some of the dimension of the card. Plus it gives you a little glimpse of the inside which is decorated to complement the card front. So that's it for my card today. Please visit Peggy Loves Vintage to see the thousands and thousands of vintage images that Peggy has available. Don't forget to visit her blog and sign up to follow her. She loves to give away free images! Thanks so much for visiting me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Peggy Loves Vintage and she loves Happy Mail Too!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you've had a wonderful day and that you're ready to enjoy a fantastic weekend. I know I sure am!!! The sun was shining today and the temp is perfect right around 80. YAY! And then we're getting a cold front that's going to come through and it's going to drop into the 50's. They're even talking about having a little snow the beginning of next week. This is so typical of spring in Reno!! Oh well...the good days are outnumbering the cooler/stormy ones. So I'm enjoying it!    So onto my card....I chose this adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage Collection of Cuties CD.  I thought he would look perfect on a "happy mail" card holding his gigantic red pencil!  So that's exactly where I put him. I printed him out on Bazzill paper and then cut him out using Nesties.

If you haven't tried using one of Peggy's images on a card, you're missing out! She has images to suit everone's tastes!! And it's so easy to make a fantastic card very quickly! Along with my main image, I used a ticket stamp from Whimsy (got it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts) and a Grunge Postcard stamp from Lili of the Valley. The corners are from an ancient Cuttlebug set that I've had for years and the DP's are from Nitwit Collections Live and Learn set. That yummy ribbon is from Stamp and Create, and it's topped off with a button from my stash and a bow made with some bakers twine.  Oh, and of course all the panels are machine stitched.  :0)

I put another postcard and ticket on the inside as well. The ticket on the inside says "hello". LOVE these tickets!! I just can't get enough of them!! LOL!  So that's it for me today. Please be sure and visit Peggy over at her etsy shop, her web site, and also her blog! She loooooooves to give away free vintage images! If you're not already following her, then click on that little follow button on her blog so you don't miss out on any of the freebies!  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hi everyone! Sure hope you're enjoying your weekend and that you're having some spring weather! It's chilly here today, but the sun is shining beautifully! I'm still in the mode for making Easter cards. This time I used this adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage! I love these vintage images. They take me right back to my childhood, and they're just so danged CUTE! All you have do do is print it on your cardstock and then put your card together! This cute little guy is from the Easter 4 cutouts.

I used Bazzill cardstock for the card base and matting, and the DP is from Nitwit Collections. The ribbon is from JoAnn's and the Easter sentiment is from Magnolia-licious. I added machine stitching and used an EK Success punched border (thank you Janie!!).  The inside is decorated to match the outside.

And we are sposored by my fabulous sis over at Peggy Loves Vintage!  You can also visit Peggy's blog. Be sure and follow, cause she LOVES to post freebie vintage images!

Peggy's Bio:
Hi, I'm lucky enough to be a retired grandma who spends her days working with my vintage card collection.

My husband and I have shared 35 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 2 and 5.

I started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since.

I love to get a new vintage scrapbook and read all about the lives and times of the individual. Some of their stories are truely inspiring.

Isn't she adorable??!! She's from Peggy Loves Vintage and is available on two different set of Cut Outs. It's in Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as Sweet Little Girls 2. I printed her out three times. I put two on the front, one popped up from the other for dimension. I used the third on the inside by the sentiment panel. The cardstock is Bazzill and I used two different sets of Pink Petticoat papers, Gingham and Lots of Dots.

I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon is from Stamp and Create, charm is a gift,  and I used Nesties for the frame that she is standing in. Oh my gosh, I almost forgot. The doily peeking out from behind was cut with my Cricut and the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cart. I can't believe all the fabulous cuts on this cart. It has doilies! Loooove it!! The glittered heart is by Melissa Frances. That's it for my card today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous creations by the amazingly talented design team! And then we'd love it if you'd join us with your zingy colored projects! You might get lucky and win a prize from Peggy Loves Vintage! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Today I've got a card for you featuring another one of the adorable images from Peggy's new Cutie Couples Cutouts over at Peggy Loves Vintage. These images are soooo much fun! This card took me absolutely no time to make! I just cropped out this picture, printed up on cardstock and assembled the card.

Peggy Loves Vintage - Cutie Couples

Happy Hump Day friends! I am having sooo much fun with these adorable Cutie Couples from Peggy Loves Vintage! She created three different sets of cutouts of these adorable couples for us  just in time for Valentine's Day!! (there's even one of a lady whomping on a guy with a frying pan!! LMBO!)   I was over at my friend DeeDee's blog the other day, and she made the cutest joy fold card, and I fell in love with it! HERE is her card (she used one of Peggy Loves Vintage Cutie Couples too!! So I then set off to learn how to make one. HERE is the link to the video if you are interested. I just think it's so cute!  I grabbed some of my scrap papers and made up this cute card VERY quickly!

I printed the cute little image out and just printed out a sentiment on my computer to go with it. I pretty much followed Mary's instructions all the way down to using the heart from the Doodlecharms cartridge on the Expression. LOL! I added a cute little bow made with red and white striped twine from PTI to the center of the heart. I also added a punched heart border courtesy of Martha Stewart.

You can find this adorable couple, along with many other cute, cute, CUTE ones over at Peggy Loves Vintage.  The only way to make card making easier is to walk into a store and buy one! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
