Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge time!

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! This time, the challenge is "All About Boys"!  This is what I came up with

Just a plain and simple card for a boy...no ribbons, no flowers, but I still think it came out pretty cute. I used the adorable #127 Edwin with Airplane from Magnolia-licious and I totally LOVE him!! He was so fun to color, too! I set him on the Madison Window and Madison Window shutter frame by Poppystamps, and then topped it off with a Magnolia Doohickey fence die. Did you know that Magnolia-licious carries a wonderful selections of your favorite dies by Memory Box, Marianne, Cheery Lynn Designs, and others, as well as the Magnolia Doohickey dies!! At Magnolia-licious, you'll not only find the best prices, but amazing customer service as well!

So please be sure and pop over to the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog to see all my teamies gorgeous creations, and then we would really love it if you'd play along with us making a card for one of the boys in your life! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - It's sketch week!

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and since it's the last Tuesday of the month, that means it's time for one of Dawny's awesome sketches and that we're being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!!  So this is what I've come up with for today

I used the absolutely adorable #115 Baby Edwin from the new Princes and Princesses collection which is in stock and available right now at Magnolia-licious! Is he not the cutest little thing? He's stamped with Memento ink onto Cryogen White paper and colored with Copic markers. He's then cut out with Nestabilities. Those gorgeous papers are Graphic 45 matted with Bazzill cardstock.  The big one was cut out using the Expression, and all the sentiments were computer generated.

The lace was from my stash, and I used the Viva Decor Pearl Pen for the corner pearls.

Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out my teamies fabulously gorgeous creations, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge!

Across the Miles - May sketch challenge for Magnolia-licious

Just click on the picture of the sketch to see it better. Sorry - it's just my inexperience!

It's the first of May, and that means it's time for a new card sketch from Magnolia-licious! And this month, it was actually MY turn to draw the sketch! YIKES! I've never drawn a sketch before! I wasn't even sure where to begin. Needless to say I felt just a "smidge" intimidated. LOL! I hope you like it, and that you grab your paper and glue along with your Magnolia stamps, and play along with us. If you do, be sure and email a pic of your card to Diana at ladydian@shaw.ca so she can upload it into the May sketch card gallery!

I made this card for our 5 year old grandson, JJ. He and our daughter just moved away from us to Kentucky this past September, and we miss them both very much. As I'm sure any Grandparent would understand. I just could NOT resist using this adorable Shabby Chic Edwin! I also used the stone wall, and the sign post from the Easter collection. I got all of these stamps at Magnolia-licious.

I masked off the stone wall to stamp the sign post, and then masked off both of them to air brush the sky. (I'm so proud of myself for using my airbrush system!! LOL!). Edwin is stamped, colored, cut out, and then placed on foam tape for dimension. Have I ever told you how much I love dimension on my cards?? *smile* I colored everything with my Copic markers. (the colors are shown below)

The DP is by Basic Grey and I MUST, yes MUST go get me more of it. I LOVE it!!! It's sooo bright, colorful, and cheery. The corner arrows were cut out with my Cricut Expression machine and popped up on foam tape as well. I tipped the edges with just a smidge of white acrylic paint for visual interest, and then popped on a few Kaiser pearls for fun.

Oh, forgot to tell you that the arrows were cut from my Graphically Speaking cartridge. That one has a BUNCH of arrows on it. Too cool! For the center strip, I wanted a touch of blue, but it was way too blah looking, so I added some edging by using my Martha Stewart border punch. Ahhh...that was better!

Popped on a button with a little bit of yellow embroidery thread, and this card was done! So tell me....how did I do with my own very first sketch challenge? I'd really love it if you'd play along with us! Thanks for dropping by to see me today, and I sure hope to see you again soon! Have a wonderful Friday evening! HUGS!! Don't forget - you can click on any of my photo's for a very up close look at my work. Just don't complain about all the little mistakes you see when you look that close! LOL! HUGS!

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge day!!

Today is Thursday, that means it's time for another 3 Clovers challenge! This week, Kerry challenged us to USE IT UP!! We were to use two pieces of paper that have been in our stash for at least a year. Well... I don't know about you, but I sure didn't have any problems with this one! LOL! In fact, I'd like to see this challenge every day for about....oh.....I'd say maybe two years or so??? LOL!

I honestly don't even know the maker of the paper I used. Sorry! I used a couple stamps I got from Magnolia-licious, Edwin in a bunny suit, and wagon with eggs. The stamps are colored with my Copic markers. The circle and scalloped circle are cut out with my Nestabilites, and popped up from the card base. Edwin is popped up as well.

Hope you're not tired of that cute little pink bunny I'm using in my Easter pics. I found her at the grocery store for like 2 bucks, and I just can't get enough of her, A couple more Easter cards and she'll be retired to the grand kids. She makes a big "BOINGY" noise when you drop her on her behind! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today, and please be sure and check out all the other team's projects for this challenge. OMGosh, these ladies are SO talented!! Their projects are amazing! And then grab your OLD paper and glue and join in on the fun! Just be sure and link your project to Kerry's blog. Have a wonderful day! It's almost Friday!! HUGS!
