Art Impressions new releases and a give away!!

Hey AI Fans!!!

I'm super excited today because Art Impressions is releasing two brand new Try-Fold sets AND three Windows to the World stamps! And that brings us to the brand new challenge today, which is CUT YOUR CARDS!!

First I'm going to show you the Haunted House Try-Fold #4688!!  Do NOT let these stamp sets intimidate you! They are amazingly easy to stamp out and color, and boy do they ever make a huge impact!  The complete instructions on how to create your Try-Fold card is on the back of every Try-Fold Stamp Set. It tells you where to position your stamp on each section of your card. I find it easier if I put a small pencil mark where I need to position the stamp rather than guessing.  I stamped the card and got busy coloring. First a look at the finished card

Once you get it completely colored, if you use Copic markers, you'll most likely notice that the ink has bled through your paper.

So at this point, to cover up the messy looking backs of the paper, I like to line the inside of the two outside card panels with a matching paper.

You can then cut around your image as stated in the instructions.  Once you get it cut, create a matt for your card (this will cover the Copic blead through from the main image of the Try-Fold and give your card a sturdy base. I usually like to create a double mat.

And this is view with the front panels closed. Isn't it fun?!!

I wanted to create a belly band to help keep the card closed until the recipient opens it. So I just took a piece of matching cardstock and wrapped it around the card. Then I colored up the Giant Jack-O-Lanterns (sku# I1267) and fussy cut it out to attach to the front of the belly band.  So fun!!

By the way, when I was looking through my stash to find the Giant Jack-O-Lanterns stamp, I discovered I actually have two of them!! Which is lucky for you because I'm going to give one away! Simply comment here on my blog for a chance to win this fun stamp! It's the perfect time of year to get one!  I will give it away at the start of the new challenge in two weeks. Good luck!!

I hope you will give Art Impressions Try-Fold Sets a try (heehee)  and show us your creation!

Copics used:  YG03, YG06, YG13, YG21, E95, E97, E99, YR21, BV000, BV01, BV04, E31, E33, E35, E37, E71, E74, E13, E15, E51, E53, C1, C3, C5, T1, T2, B000, Blender

Next I'm showing you the brand new With Love Window to the World Stamp! These are really, really, REALLY quick and easy cards! And they are really beautiful too!  They fit perfectly with the Art Impressions Window Die (sku 4619) which is what I used for this card.

And a view of the inside

This took no time at all! I really want to practice my water coloring with this image. :)  I simply centered the window pane in the upper center of my card front and put it through my Cuttlebug. Then I used a piece of cardstock to cut out the window frame and mounted it to the card front lining it up with the window panes. After gluing that down, I took my snowman image and lined it up in the window the way I wanted it to show, and then adhered it to the inside. Done!

Copics used: B000, BG93, C1, E33, Y23, W3, R20, B41, and Blender

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
