Paperplay Challenge - Make your own DP

Hi everyone!  I sure hope you are having a fabulous week! We're in the thick of Hot August Nights here in Reno, so lots of fabulous antique and muscle cars have invaded our little city. It's such a fun time of year to hear them all rumble through town. With it being Thursday, it's time for a new challenge from PaperPlay Challenges. We're being sponsored by Waltzing Mouse Stamps, and the winner will get the stamp set of their choice! For the challenge, the fabulous Nicole has asked us to make our own design paper. Uh oh....this one was tough for me. Wasn't sure what to do, so I pulled out an old stamp set from Our Craft Lounge. I took the strip of elephant footprints and covered a piece of kraft cardstock with them and colored them in with gray.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

I machine stitched around the panels and then added a bow made with twine and called her done. A VERY simple get well card, but I think it turned out pretty cute! Please be sure and pop over to PaperPlay challenges. My teamies made some GORGEOUS papers (I bow down to them!!).  Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!  Hugs!!

  12. Just as I was taking a little sip from my evening wine, I opened up your blog and promptly choked - it was either choke or spit out my wine! This elephant is the cutest big thing I have ever seen. Not to mention the fact you should go into business making your own designer paper. Elephant feet!! Sharon, do you know how to tell if an elephant is in bed with you? You can smell the peanut butter on his breath! Absolutely one adorable card.
