Art Impressions Pop Ups!

Hello AI Fans!!

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday!! So how many of you have needed a card REALLY quickly, but still wanted to make it yourself and not give a store bought card! Let's see a show of hands! I just held up both my arms, how about you? Well that's where the AI Pop Ups come in handy! In just a matter of a few minutes, you can have a hand made card that has a real WOW factor to it! These cards have soooo much dimension and Art Impressions makes it so easy by numbering the pieces as they should be applied! For my card today, I used AI Deco Set 3 (sku# 4344)  I just fussy cut around the top part of the image.

It even comes with sentiments!  The paper I used is Doodlebug Sunkissed

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and hope you have some time this weekend to get crafty!

Art Impressions new challenge and the launch of the new Watercolor Mini Stamps!!

Hello AI Fans!!

Today we are celebrating both a new challenge at Art Impressions Blog AND the launch of the new Watercolor Mini Stamps!!

Now I must be honest...although I've used the watercolor technique using Copic markers, I have not expanded into the world of watercoloring. I've been wanting to play, so I did have some supplies already purchased. But probably 99% of you out there know how that story goes. We purchase with every good intention, and then the purchase sits, waiting patiently for us to do something with it. So this challenge made me leave my comfort zone.  And it took several (and I do mean several) attempts before I could come up with something that wouldn't make me totally cringe when I posted it. :) So please don't laugh too heartily at my attempt!  I think what helped me more than anything was to watch the videos Bonnie has put together. She is SO talented and explains it all so well. Just visit the Art Impressions You Tube Channel and start watching. And keep the window open on your computer cause you'll probably want to keep going back to it for information. I know I sure did!

I used my Tim Holtz Distress Ink markers.  I simply scribbled the ink onto my acrylic stamping block, and then picked up the color with a water brush. For lighter colors, I used more water...for darker colors - less water.  I actually used three different stamp sets from Art Impressions to create this.

Papers are Prima Nature Garden
Butterfly border and single butterfly are dies from Noor Design

Please be sure to visit Art Impressions Blog to see all the gorgeous creations the design team has come up with. And then we'd love it if you'd join in the new challenge of April Showers/May Flowers! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Hey everyone! It's time for another challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week the challenge is Cute as a Button! So you can either do cute, use a button, or both! We are sponsored by the yummilicious shop The Ribbon Girl! LOVE that shop!!

Ok, I have no idea if you think she's cute or not, but I sure do! I adore Bertha Big Mouth from Art Impressions!! And if nothing else, I guess I could count the button that is at the front of her collar, right?  :)  This is also the card we'll be making next Monday at Scrapbook Paradise. If you're in the vicinity of Reno and want to take the class, I'd love to see you! Watch for a tutorial on how I made this card coming in the future!

Art Impressions Shake Your Booty Hula Set

Hello AI Fans!!

\
Happy Weekend everyone! Hope you're enjoying your day and getting to play with your paper and glue! I wanted to show you a fun card I made for my girlfriend's Birthday. I used the Hula Set (sku# 4306) Gotta love it when you get to Shake Your Booty in celebration!!  :)

You want to stamp the inside portion of the stamp twice, and color the entire stamp for the base. You'll then want to color and  cut out only the booty portion of the other one. That's the one you'll put on the action wobble.  Then you can Shake Your Booty all you want!
