Papertake Weekly - It's sketch week!!

Hey everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and since it's the last Tuesday in May (can you believe it??) it's time for one of Dawny's awesome sketches and we're being sponsored by the amazing Simon Says Stamp!!

So now here is the sketch for you to follow this week for a chance to win an awesome prize!

And here is my take on the challenge

For my card I used the fabulous new image #419 Little Miss Muu Muu from the new Summer Memories collection which is available at Magnolia-licious! I love this entire collection! Diana has the best service and prices available, and carries the most extensive selection of Magnolia images in North America! Do yourself a big favor and check out her shop today!!  Little Miss Muu Muu is stamped with Memento ink onto X-Press It cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. I just used my Copic multi-liner to draw some spots onto her cause I just thought she's be cute with spots. I don't like how I did the spot on her head, but oh well... The papers are digital matted with Bazzill cardstock, and the ribbon, buttons, and twine are from my stash. The sentiment was created with MS Word and I also added three pearls made with the Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all my talented teamies wonderful creations, and then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

It's Kraftin' Kimmie time!

Hey everyone! Happy weekend, and if you're in the states, happy THREE day weekend!!!  It's time for a new challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie  Challenge Blog, and this week, the hostess is me! The challenge I chose for you this week is "Get Sentimental". So please use a sentiment on your project.  For my card today, I've used the new set Lulu on the Move and chose Lulu on her Tricycle.  I also added one of the fabulous new Everyday Trinkets that were just released last week, which are a brand new line for Kraftin' Kimmie!! LOOOOOVE them!!!

She's stamped with Memento ink onto Copic X-Press It Cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The DP's are from Nitwit Collection (Toadally Yours) matted with Bazzill cardstock. I used a punch around the page set from Martha Stewart while I'm VERY IMPATIENTLY waiting for my Cameo to ship to me. LOL! The layers are all machine stitched and popped up from one another for lots of dimension. The Trinket is stamped using my Tim Holtz Distress markers and then cut out with Nestabilities, and once again popped up. The bow was made using May Arts silk ribbon and then I added some pearls with the Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Please be sure and join us over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog where you can see all the fabulous sentimental projects from all the oh so VERY talented Krafty Girls and Guests! And then we'd love it if you'd join us in the challenge for a chance to win Lulu on her tricycle!

And before I forget....Kimmie has her Frugal Friday Specials going on as well! She has six fabulous stamps and/or sets on special for 30-50% off the regular price!!!!!  You can find them HERE! And I do believe I will have to pick some of these up!

Papertake Weekly - True Colors

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful start to your week. It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and Dawny is asking you to use your National Colors. We are being sponsored this week by the lovely and very talented Mary and Andrea at The Ribbon Girl!   Here's what I created for the challenge

I used #216 Tilda Un Anchor, one of the new images from the Summer Memories Collection which is available now at Magnolia-licious. Isn't she the most precious thing??!  So of course I colored her up in red, white, and blue Copic markers.  The papers I used are from Raspberry Road matted with Bazzill cardstock.  I used a Magnolia Doohickey Die for the doily up in the left hand corner, and then used my Cricut to cut those stars.  I left this one so plain as I just liked it that way. I really didn't think it needed anything else. Not even a bow! LOL!

Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see my teamies fabulous creations in their National Colors, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Everyone loves Lulu!! This set comes with THREE adorable images and SIX matching sentiments!!  My card features Lulu moving her hips with a Hula Hoop! Now does it get much more fun that that??

She's stamped onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers. The papers used are from Nitwits Collections (Beesknees) matted with Bazzill cardstock. Sneak Peeks of Kraftin' Kimmie - day one!!!

We are kicking off the *New* June Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps release today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a whole new line of stamps!!! We are very excited to share with you our….TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the Everyday Trinkets set which covers Birthday, Thank You, Friendship and Just Because!!! There are EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!!

A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations but they are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items!! I can’t wait to see them used everywhere!!!

You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. And keep your eyes peeled for more themes because we’ve got lots more Trinkets on the way!!!

Here is what I've created for today using the fabulous Trinkets!

I used an adorable Lulu with stroller from the Playtime Lulu set. Isn't she so cute! Both Lulu and the Trinket was stamped with Memento ink and then colored with Copic markers. The paper is som very old Basic Grey matted with Bazzill cardstock.  Then I simply added a bow with some ribbon from my stash. Please be sure and pop over to Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog for a complete list of Krafty Girls and Guests that are showing you previews today, and then be sure and leave some love along the way, as Kimmie will be giving away a prize to a random lucky person!! Kraftin' Kimmie - it's time for a new challenge!

Good morning everyone! Hope you're having a magnificent start to your Saturday!! I'm a little late in getting my post up this morning, so I apologize for that! It's time for a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, and this week our hostess with the mostest is the fabulous and awesomely talented Alice!! Alice makes the most amazing cards, and she has challenged us to a....are you ready????....a ONE LAYER CARD. Yup...you heard (or rather read) me correctly. LOL! A one layer card. Well anyone that has ever received (or maybe even weighed) one of my cards, knows how much of a challenge this was for me. But hey...isn't that what challenges are for? To stretch us out of our comfort zone? So I grabbed my cardstock and set out to do exactly that.  And this is what I came up with.

I used the new "Going Places" stamp set for my card. It's stamped with Memento ink directly onto my card base and then colored with Copic markers. I then stamped the sentiment up in the left hand corner.

Don't forget to check out Kimmie's Frugal Friday specials where she has six fabulous images at 40 to 50% off the regular price!!! So that's it for me today. Please be sure and pop over to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog to check out what my teamies have come up with for your viewing pleasure. And then we'd really love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope you have a fantastic weekend! See you soon! Hugs!
