Papertake Weekly - Birthday Blog Hop with Prizes Galore!!!!

Hi everyone! I am soooo excited for today! It's Papertake Weekly's 4th Birthday!! I am so proud to be a part of this fabulous challenge blog and the amazing team of designers!! We have a LOT of fun going on for you this week, so I sure do hope you join us in all the fun and festivities!!! If you've arrived here from the lovely Annette's blog, then you're on the right track. We've got a BUNCH of sponsors today, so you've got more than one shot at winning a prize! One lucky person that leaves a comment on this post will win a voucher for none other than Lili of the Valley!!! WHOOT WHOOT!! How fun is that??? Our other amazing sponsors are Simon Says Stamp, The Ribbon Girl,  Dies to Die For, and Sir Stampalot!!!  There's no shotage of prizes, that's for sure! For more chances to win, be sure to visit all my teamies and leave comments!!

For my card today, I chose to use this adorable image from the Winner Takes it All collection from Magnolia-licious (Diana has the best selection of Magnolia images and accessories in North America and has some awesome discounts going on right now!!!!)  She's #206 Baseball Tilda. I changed it up this time and went with the distressed look. I thought it just felt right with this cutie. I also used a #23 Magnolia Doohickey Antique Lace die and #609 Shooting Stars Border stamp from the You Are So Special Collection.

Tilda is stamped onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I used the R20's and E50's for her clothes, E70's for the bat, and E11, 01, and 00 for her skin. I used pink chalk and a white gel pen on her cheeks.

The frame and stars were cut using the Cricut Expression. I came up with the sentiment and printed it from my computer. It's then cut out using circle Nestabilities. The papers are from Raspberry Road matted onto PTI kraft paper. The buttons were a gift from my friend Regina, and that yummy ribbon was a gift from my friend DeeDee. Thanks so much girlfriends!!! Added some twine and some machine stitching, and called her done!

Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the fabulous prize from Lili of the Valley! And then head on over to see my amazingly talented friend, Miss Pink Piggy herself.... Dawny! There's no doubt she's got something gorgeous for your viewing pleasure! Thanks so much for joining us in our celebration hop today!!!! Hugs!!

I've entered this card into the following challenges:

I have just loved this little image, maybe because I'm SO into baseball and a huge Texas Ranger's fan! Love the way you put this card together, not too frilly but not so boyish either. Great use of the Star Border stamp (so little used) and the stars corner stamp. Love how you did the sentiment, and if I could ever figure out how to make something go on a curve with my Gimp program I'd be happy as a pig in mud!!

Fabulous job, Ladybug!! Hugs, Barb
