Papertake Weekly - sketch week!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! I know some of you had a holiday yesterday, and others have a holiday next Monday. WOOHOO for ALL holidays! LOL! With today being Tuesday, it's time for another challenge from Papertake Weekly. This week is sketch week, so we got to work with another of Dawny's fabulous sketches. Since it's the last Tuesday of the month, that means we are sponsored by the very generous Heidi over at Simon Says Stamp!

In business since 2002, Simon Says Stamp is striving to offer you the best selection of Rubber Stamps, Altered Art, Scrapbooking, Artist Trading Cards, and Paper Crafting Supplies in the world. We stock over 100,000 items in our warehouses so that we can offer you quick service and one stop shopping at a great price! We are located in Ohio, the heart of it all. Our team works hard to give you a fulfilled shopping experience and is always open to your ideas and suggestions! Happy customers are the heart of our business. We work hard to find and deliver to you the latest in stamping and paper crafting supplies! Attending classes, workshops, and sales meetings around the world, our goal is to keep our product offerings fresh and current. Make us your one stop easy shop - and we'll deliver right to your door!

For my card today, I used #214 Basketball Tilda from the brand new Winner Takes it All collection which currently in stock and available right now over at Magnolia-licious!! You will find the largest selection of Magnolia images in North America available at Magnolia-licious and Diana offers superb service! She's stamped onto X Press It Blending Cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. Shes then cut out using circle Nestabilities and  machine stitched. I used a salmon pearl pen around the scallops. The jury is still out on this card, what do you think? I mean, I really like the way the card itself turned out, but I'm torn with this cute little basketball player being on this gorgeous, lacy, flowery card. What do you think? Does it work?? I hope so, cause it's going to a VERY special friend of mine, and she only deserves the best.

The papers are Basic Grey Capella (one of my most favorite patterns of their's EVER) matted by Bazzill cardstock. That lace you see peeking out the bottom was a big time score from an antique mall when I was visiting my sis Peggy in Illinois. The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is white May Arts silk ribbon colored with  my R12 Copic marker. It stiffens up the silk, but you end up with a ribbon exactly the color you want. Pretty cool, huh?  Here's a peek at the inside.....

And then the actual inside sentiment side.  As you can see, these adorable sports images can be used for more than just sports cards.

So that's it for me today. I hope I showed you some versatility with these adorable sports stamps.  Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see what my talented teamies have done, and then grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

This card is stunning and the sentiment is just perfect! I love the paper you chose for Tilda, not because it matches the basketball theme but it's so appropriate with your sentiment! I thought this collection would be so hard to work with , instead it's a refreshing change from the usual. This card is a slam dunk!!!
