Papertake Weekly - Anything goes with option

Hi everyone! How's your week going?  What a weekend! We ended up with a clogged drain this weekend, and of course didn't find out until I put a load of laundry in and it started to drain. Needless to say our utility room was flooded with water as it was spewing out the hose drain! UGH! A plumber and 200 bucks later (seriously??? to run a snake down a drain??? Am I in the wrong business???), I was back to being able to get my laundry done. LOL!  With today being Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly. Since this is the first Tuesday in the month, it's an anything goes challenge with the optional extra of an all white color theme with one other accent color (excluding hair and skin). Well, I'll be honest, I tried the all the white and it just didn't work out for me! Thank goodness it's optional! *smiles*  We are sponsored this week by the amazing Lili of the Valley! WOOHOO!! Who doesn't LOVE their images and sentiments??!!

For my card today, I used one of my brand new stamps from the amazing and fabulous Diana over at Magnolia-licious!! She's #3019 Tilda playing hopscotch from the new Sweet Rainbow collection! LOVE these images! Is she not soooo sweet?!  You know...when I was little, I LOVED Easter cause I always got brand new outfit, including new patent leather shoes and socks with a frilly, lacy edging. I would go outside to the driveway to play hopscotch so I could stare at my shoes and socks! LOL! What can I say...   Anyway....this brand new collection is in stock and shipping right now from Magnolia-licious!!  I used Copic markers to color her (colors listed below if you're interested). These delicious papers are from Nitwit Collections Bumbleberry set and the cardstock is Bazzill. I used an EK Success punch for the butterflies (I just punched them out once with the cardstock and once with the pattern paper and attached them in the center only), and of course my sentiment is from Lili of the Valley from the Dreamy Sentiments set. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow is made with May Arts silk ribbon.  All the panels are machine stitched.

That's it for my card today! Please be sure to pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the gorgeous creations by the design team and then we would truly love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Yuck about the plumbing bill - would rather spend that $ on what really matters - MORE STAMPS!

Gosh... 200$ for a snake, imagine the loads of stamps this would buy. I just hate those real priorities! Your card is darling. So so cute. Wonderful Tilda, gorgeous coloring. LOve your paper and the color combo. I simply adore those litle butterflies and our wonderful bow.
Have a nice day.

well hello there Ladybug!!! I see you've had some troubles with the plumbing...it's always a bad thing when that happens...hope things got back in order and you all are drying out...but I have to say that it's been to long since my last visit...and how I've missed ya....this card is such a happy happy card...from the colors to your papers....bright and cheery...love it!!! Hope you have a sunny day girlfriend!!!! Hugs

Adorable card. I love the spring colors and papers, and of course, that darling Tilda.

On a different note, that sucks about the drain. I have issues with mine. If your cleanout gets full, call the county wastewater people and they come snake it for free (in my area, they do, at least). Of course, if the problem is a clog between the house and the street, you're screwed and it's $200 again! That sucks!

That really sucks about your drain, WASTING money on that when it could have bought soooo many new stamps now that's a bummer... Not to mention the messy cleanup you had to do. Been there !!!
On to happier things !!! Your card is wonderful & I never see your stitching but I what I turn green with envy at how straight you can sew ... Always perfect !!!
HOW do you get that wonderful shading around Tilda? Mine always seems to get too dark when I try that ... What's your secret ?
Hugs & happy wash day, Janie

Sharon, this is such a fun loving card. I’m so glad I ordered this Tilda too. She is just so adorable and your fabulous colouring made her even more so. Love your colour combo—green and pink is a favorite of mine, but then I also love white cards…LOL. I like your punched butterflies using the same DP as on your card—I’ll have to remember that next time. And of course, your signature perfect bow—I will try to attempt making one one day—I’m all thumbs with that Easy Bow..LOL.

Hugs,
Norma

Hi Sharon! Your card is sooooo darn cute....love this adorable Tilda and, of course, its one of the stamps I DID NOT buy....darn!
P.S. I can relate to your story.....I put a new cartridge in my printer and the printer refused to accept it. After many attempts, I finally gave up and took the darn printer in....well, they determined that it was a "defective"cartridge and for that wonderful knowledge, I had to pay $120!!!!!!!!!! Talk about being in the wrong business!!!!

Sorry about your plumbing bill! Doesn't that stink. I just had to pay almost that for my dryer that went out. Thankfully it wasn't my load that got stuck. LOL (it was my dd)
Hope you're doing well!
