Papertake Weekly sketch challenge

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another awesome sketch from the amazingly talented Dawny!! This chickie makes the BEST sketches, and I honestly love to work with her! If you haven't been to visit her blog, then please do yourself a favor and check it out. This week over at Papertake Weekly, we're being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

I've had this digital stamp by Mo Manning for forever, and finally am getting the chance to use her. She's colored with Copic markers. I've paired her with some FABULOUS digital sentiments from a new set at The Cutting Cafe' called Because Nice Matters. LOVE this set and I just thought it went so well with this stamp! The inside sentiment is from the same set.

The DP is Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill. The buttons are Basic Grey as well, and the twine is from PTI. That's it for this card. Please join us over at Papertake Weekly and play along. You might win a prize from Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Hi friends!!! After taking some much needed time off, I am back and definitely in the mood to craft! I hope all of you had a most wonderful holiday season! We had such a lovely Christmas, and I am off work this week. YAY!!!!! LOL! So I'm planning on relaxing and getting some crafting done too. With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I FINALLY got to get my challenge card done for Magnolia-licious. The challenge was from the most talented Cheryl Rowley, and it was to make a shaped card (anything except square or rectangle). I decided to use the card feature from my new Cricut cartridge, Sweet Treats.
I love it, cause the card shape is already made and you just have to tell it what size you want it and hit the cut button. Doesn't get any easier! I also wanted desperately to use this beautiful stamp from Magnolia-licious from the So Jolly/Mistletoe collection. (The site if currently down so I can't link to her, sorry!) She is one of my very favorites from this new collection! She's colored with Copic markers (E50, E53, R35, R46, E11, R20, E02, E00) and then cut out and popped up from the present shaped card. The DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. The tag is cut from my Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More Cricut cartridge. You still have a couple days left to join in on the shaped card fun over at Magnolia-licious Highlites blog! If you play along, you'll have a chance to win a gift certificate to Magnolia-licious! Thanks so much for popping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Papertake Weekly - Thank you cards

Hi friends!! I sure hope you're done with all of your hustling and bustling, and that you're now able to relax a little and enjoy the holidays! Today over at Papertake Weekly, Dawny is asking us to make a thank you card. I'm hoping you'll need to come up with lots of thank you cards after the holidays! *smile* For this one, I used one of the brand new Tildas from the winter club kit. I have no idea even what her name is yet, but I think she's as cute as a button! Watch for her at Magnolia-licious. I'm sure Diana will have her up for preorder soon.

I paired her up with some awesome paper from Graphic 45 and Bazzill cardstock. She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and double popped for dimension. The word circle is a fantasic digital stamp from The Cutting Cafe and it's a $.99 cent special!!! I love the font on it! Please join us at PTW with your Thank You cards and maybe you'll get lucky and win!! Good luck!
I think this is probably the last post you'll be seeing from me before Christmas. So I'd like to take a moment to wish each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy, and healthy New Year! I so appreciate your visits and support over the past year. You are appreciated more than you will ever know. God bless you and your families, and Merry Christmas!!!! Lots of love!

A very quick post with another Christmas card

Hi everyone! Just a really quick post to show some more of the new Christmas stamps that I got from Magnolia-licious! I used #3001 Wrapped Tilda, but just cut the big bow off of her. I also used the Noel stamp which I can't find in stock right now. DP is Basic Grey, cardstock is Bazzill, and I also used a Martha Stewart border punch. The bow was done with my fabulous Bow Easy.

Thanks so much for taking a sec to drop by and see me today. If you have time between all the hustling and bustling of the holidays, please stop by to see me on Tuesday for the Papertake Weekly challenge. I used one of the new Tilda stamps from the winter club kit. Now I'm off to make sugar cookies! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! HUGS!

Wags 'n Whiskers - use your dies and punches!

Happy Friday (well...on the east coast anyway) ! I'm sure you're all going to have a very busy week ahead, at least I know I sure will! This week for Wags n' Whiskers, the challenge is from Lacey, and she is asking us to pull out those dies and punches and use them on our project. For my card, I chose to use this beautiful stamp from the new collection that just released last week, titled He Loves Me. I honestly adore this stamp! Isn't Ansley just absolutely gorgeous? She's colored with Copic Markers and I used some Smooch on her wings.

I also used a Martha Stewart Daisy punch around the page set for the chocolate colored mat, and the heart and scalloped heart were die cut with my Cricut Expression and the (I believe) Gypsy Wanderings. Flowers are Prima and the paper is Basic Grey. Please pop over to Wags 'n Whiskers and see the amazing cards the rest of the Diva's created. We'd love it if you'd play along with us. This is our last challenge for 2009! We are taking a break to spend some time with our families. So we'll see you back again for the next Wags 'n Whiskers challenge on January 8th. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me at this very busy time of year! And in case I don't get to see you again before next Friday, I'd like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs - an ornament!

Happy Friday Eve! WOOHOO!! It's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs, and this week, she is asking for an ornament. Well, I went a little different with this one. I had fallen in love with this funny stamp that I got from Bunny Zoe's shop, and have just been waiting for the perfect time to use it. And finally, this was it! I wanted to make an ornament that was also a gift card. So I used my Cricut Expression along with the Joys of The Season cartridge and cut out this ornament shaped card. In the center I placed this stamp that I colored with Copic markers. I also used fun fluff on his suit and hat, and white flower soft for the snow on the roof. I cut another circle and cut it in half for the gift card holder on the inside left. Then I set out to make up a little verse for the inside of the gift card.

If you can't read it, you can just click on the picture so you'll be able to. I strung a ribbon through the top and it's now ready to hang a gift card on the tree! DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to check out the rest of the team's fabulous creations, and then we'd love it if you would grab your paper and glue and play along! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Papertake Weekly - Sketch Challenge today!

So how is everyone doing? Are you ready for the holidays?? I'm still working on it, and feeling a little better about now, more so than I did a week ago! But do you realize we only have one weekend left before the big day? That really makes me panic. LOL! With today being Tuesday, it's time for another challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week we're sponsored by Toodles and Binks. It's sketch week with an awesome sketch from Dawny.

I used a cute Kraftin Kimmie stamp (Oliver the Penguin) I got from Stamp and Create. I colored this cutie with copic markers and used some fun fluff on his hat. Then I cut him out and popped him up off the machine stitched mat. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the scalloped edges, and the snowflakes are from a MS punch as well. The sentiment stamp is included with Oliver the Penguin. DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. I also used some Kaiser half backed green pearls in the center of the snowflakes (which are also popped up). Tied a bow with my bow easy, and this one was done.

Please be sure and join us over at Papertake Weekly to check out what the rest of the talented design team has come up with for the sketch. Then we'd love it if you would join us and link your project up. You might get lucky and win a prize from Toodles and Binks! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Happy weekend everyone! YAY!!! I sure hope you're enjoying the holidays! I'm frantically trying to get everything done, like I'm sure a lot of you are. And the weather is NOT cooperating. We're still digging out from over 12 inches of snow earlier in the week, and now it's snowing like crazy again! We're supposed to get another couple inches tonight, and then another storm is coming in tomorrow bringing us another 6 plus inches!! Oh my gosh! When does spring arrive???? LOL! It's not even winter yet! If this keeps up, I think our odds of having a white Christmas is going to be pretty good! At least we got rid of the 15 below zero temps! WHEW! Ok, I'm sure you've heard enough about our weather. Isn't this little couple just adorable?? I fell in love with both of them when I first laid eyes on them in the new So Jolly, So Snowy, Mistletoe collection. I knew they would look so cute together!

They are #146 Santa's Helper (Edwin), Tilda looks to be out of stock right now and so does the tree (cut out of the set of three outdoor evergreens), I also used #548 sofa, all from Magnolia-licious. If you're interested in the stamps that are out of stock, just email Diana. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. I paper pieced the couch. There's lots of dimension as the top mat is popped up from the card base, the sofa is popped up from that, and then Tilda and Edwin are popped up from that! I do love dimension!!! :) The stamps are all colored with Copic markers and I used Kaiser flat backed pearls on the tree as ornaments. The most fun part of the card is the fun flock I used on the hats and Edwin's suit. It looks so cute in person! I love that stuff! Here's another pic to try and give you a better look at the fun flock.

I started to put a tag on the ribbon that said We wish you a Merry Christmas, but thought it detracted too much from the little scene I created. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy (LOVE that tool and use it for every card now!!)
This fits right in for the Just Magnolia challenge of anything Christmassy, so I'm entering it for that! That's it for today! If you're looking for the Wags 'n Whiskers blog hop, please scroll down to the next post. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

DP is from Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. I cut out the image with an oval Nestability die and popped it up off the card base. The flowers were cut using my Cricut Expression and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I cut them out of white cardstock and then colored them with my Copic markers. I used Angel Wing Shimmerz on the angel wings.

Check back tomorrow for sneak peek #2! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again tomorrow! Hugs!!!

Oh my goodness gracious, when I made this card I had no idea how appropriate it would be for today! I woke up Monday morning to 12 inches of snow and then it snowed all day! The sun never did come out, and they still haven't plowed most of the main roads (probably trying to save funds) and the roads are really ugly. Now it's supposed to get down to zero tonight. So BRRRRRR is right! LOL! It really IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Ok, enough with my weather report. LOL!
Today is Tuesday, which means it's time for another challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week, we're being sponsored by Stretch 'n Bubbles. Alison was kind enough to give us some images to play with and I chose this adorable image called Earl the penguin. Isn't it too cute??!! I colored him with Copic markers and then cut him out so I could pop him up off the card for dimension. The Brrrr was cut with my Cricut Expression and Winter Woodland cartridge. The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch and finished with a Kaiser pearl. The DP is from Sandylion and cardstock is Bazzil. Please be sure to visit Papertake Weekly to see the amazing creations from the rest of the design team! And then grab your paper and glue and play along with us! You might win a fabulous prize from Alison at Stretch 'n Bubbles!
Also, Please don't forget to stop by tomorrow to check out my first sneak peek of the new Wags N Whiskers release that is happening on Friday with a blog hop! Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We went Saturday and picked out our tree and it was sooooo cold!! Talk about putting you in the mood for Christmas! Thank goodness they had a nice warm fire in a barrell for us to get warm every once in a while. It was all worth it though, cause we found the most beautiful tree!

Today's Bitten By The Bug challenge is from the sweet and talented Enfys, and she picked the ribbon frame from the Joys of The Season cartrdige. What a pretty frame! I just had to use my new #3008 Sitting Tilda with Candy that I got from Magnolia-licious. Isn't she so pretty?

I thought she looked awesome propped right into that frame. DP is Bo Bunny and cardstock is Bazzil. I stitched around the panels and added a big red bow with a Christmas charm and some red Kaiser pearls. That's it for my card today! Peggy Loves Vintage Snowman Christmas Card

First thing I want to say is that I'm really sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately and not getting to visit your blogs and comment the way I normally like to. It's just that time of year, and I'm hustling and bustling all over the place, so I don't see it getting much better at all before the holidays are over. So please forgive me. And with that...I'll get on with my post...

Happy Friday everyone! I am on the run! And this kind of Christmas card is perfect to make when I've got so much to do. This is one of those cards that looks like it took hours, but actually only took minutes. I used one of the sketches from Papertake Weekly by the sweet and talened Dawny, and this adorable snowman image from Peggy Loves Vintage . I printed two of the snowmen images out and cut them out and popped the top one up. EASY PEASY!!!! The DP is Daisy D's and the cardstock is Bazzil.

I added some Martha Stewart punched snowflakes to adorn the corners with a Kaiser pearl, a bow tied with my amazing BOW EASY, and added a cute Christmas charm, and I called this card done. Lots of dimension, lots of Christmas color, and only a few minutes for construction. I love it! Please go HERE and check out all the amazing Christmas cut outs and cd's that are available at Peggy Loves Vintage. I think you'll fall in love just like I did, and then you'll be able to make awesome cards with minimal effort!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Wags N Whiskers challenge #5 distressing

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fabulous week! I can't believe how quickly time is flying! Santa will be here before I know it, and I still have so much to do! How am I ever going to get it all done?! Oh dear! I'm sure there are many of you that are feeling the same way. I guess we'll make it through. We always do, right? It's time for a new challenge over at Wags N Whiskers Challenge Blog! The challenge this week was chosen by the talented Danielle, and it was to use distressing. Now I love to use ink for definition in my work, but I very rarely distress. So this was a good challenge for me. I used a lot more chalk ink than normal, and grabbed my scissors and really roughed up the edges of the DP. I used this adorable stamp called Ride 'em Ryan. He's available right now over at Wags N Whiskers. Isn't he the cutest??? This birthday card is for my little Grandson, JJ. I can't believe he's going to be six at the end of January!

I stamped the image in Memento ink onto Cryogenic white cardstock and colored it with my Copics. Sorry - no pic this time of the markers used. I did this card in segments and just had to put them away in between so I could color other images. The embellies were all cut with the Cricut Expression using my brand new Gypsy! Oh how I love my new Gypsy! The sherrif's badge was cut from A Child's Year, the circle from Plantin Schoolbook, and the stars are from George. And I didn't have to dig out a single cartridge. How cool is that??!!! That awesome cowboy boot charm is just perfect for this stamp, and I received it from Lacey at Stamp and Create! I love it! And it's double sided unlike a lot of charms. So no matter which way it hangs, it looks great! The DP is old, I got it almost two years ago over in Sacramento. It's by Fancy Pants. The twine I wrapped around the card is from PTI. Oh, and the Happy Birthday is computer generated. That's it for this card. Please head over to play with us at Wags N Whiskers challenge blog. If you use a Wags N Whiskers stamp and link your card to the challenge, you could win a free stamp!! If you don't have any WnW stamps yet, then do yourself a favor and head over HERE to get some. You're going to love them!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and sure hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs - time for a gift!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a lovely week! This is my Thursday for a new challenge over at Three Clover Designs. This week, Kerry is asking for a gift (non card) item. So I chose to make an ornament. I did one of my favorite techniques with my Cricut Expression, and that's to make my own faux chipboard. I just cut the snowflake out five times and glued them all together. LOVE it! Then I covered it all with a healthy dose of Stickles. I colored up one of my new stamps from the So Jolly So Snowy Mistletoe collection that I got from Magnolia-licious. This collection is the cutest one yet and Diana has some of them left in stock, so hurry and get yours before they're all gone!! I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out. Then I plopped her right in the middle of the snowflake. Whatcha think? Would this be ok for a little gift combined with something else? So please join us at Three Clover Designs and post your own version of a gift item. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! hugs!

Papertake Weekly and Kraftin Kimmie

We made it through Monday. YAY! LOL! Tuesday means it's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge, and this week it's a sketch challenge by the sweet and talented Dawny. And guess what else...we're being sponsored by Kraftin Kimmie! I don't know if you've checked out these adorable stamps, but I love them!! I think my absolute favorite is Drucilla and I just HAVE to have some stamps of her. She's got that little crazed look in her eyes that I can totally relate too! Especially going through perimenopause! LMBO! Anyway, Now, not only is Kimmie sponsoring our challenge this week, she was also kind enough to give us PTW gals some stamps from her new release to play with! Isnt' that cool??!! I chose to use this adorable Gift Emmylou stamp. She's colored with Copic markers and placed on a frame which I cut out from Gypsy Wanderings with my Gypsy and Expression. (Gypsy and Expression available at Hallmark Scrapbook).

Paper is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. I added a border made with a Martha Stewart punch, a beautiful snowflake charm I got from Lacey at Stamp and Create , and the flowers were again cut with my Expression, but I'll be danged if I can remember which cartridge I used. Sorry!! The green sprigs are another Martha Stewart punch.
Please be sure to hop over to Papertake Weekly to check out all the other FABULOUS creations by the design team. Those girls are GOOD! And then grab your paper and glue and play along with us. You might get really lucky and win a prize from Kraftin Kimmie! hugs!

Bitten By The Bug blog hop - phone challenge

Happy Monday and welcome to our monthly Bitten By The Bug Blog Hop! Now if you have made it here from the blog of the awesomely talented Krista, then you are on the right track! This week our challenge was issued by the fabulously talented Regina, and she asked us to use this cute phone cut from the From My Kitchen cartridge. As soon as I heard the challenge was this phone, the Christmas song "Santa Baby" came into my head, so that's what I decided on. I took the line "Santa Baby...forgot to mention one little thing...a ring....I don't mean on the phone. Santa Baby, hurry down the chimney tonight!" LOVE that song! LOL! I just used scrap paper for the card along with Bazzil cardstock. All the pieces were cut out with my Gypsy that I got from Hallmark Scrapbook. I'm telling you, it is sooooo awesome not to have to dig through cartridges and change them out! Talk about a time saver! And anything that saves me time is a HUGE friend of mine! The frame the phone is sitting on is cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cart that comes loaded on the Gypsy. The word bubble is from George. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and some faux stitching.

Now for the fun stuff, the blog candy! I am giving away an assortment of stamped images, including some images from Magnolia-licious , Wags N Whiskers, High Hopes, Belles and Whistles, and even some from the highly sought after Hanglar and Stanglar! You will also receive an assortment of charms, and that's STILL not all! You will also receive a set of cut outs (your choice) from Peggy Loves Vintage! Talk about being able to knock out some fast Christmas cards! Just use the awesome Christmas images from Peggy Loves Vintage, and you'll be done before you know it! All you have to do to win is leave a comment on this post before Midnight Friday night, Dec 3rd. That should allow you to receive it in plenty time to make some Christmas cards with your goodies.

Ok, so that's it for me today. Now you're going to head to the most infamous Donna's blog, and check out her fabulous creation for today's hop! I'm telling you, I sure wish I could make my Design Studio and Cricut sing the way this girl can. She makes the most awesome creations ever!!! Don't forget, if you get lost along the way during the hop, just pop back over to Bitten By the Bug to get back on track. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Magnolia Christmas frame card with Waiting Tilda and Martha Stewart border

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope all my friends in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving! And for those of you that ventured out yesterday in seach of the perfect bargain, I hope it worked out for you! Me? Nope, I don't even touch Black Friday. I have to get up for work every week day at 4:30, there's no way I'm getting up that early on a day off. LOL! My sleep is worth more to me than the bargain I might find out there. Now onto my card, this was so much fun and easier than I thought it would be, and I totally love the effect. So I will be making more of these frame cards, that's for sure! I first saw it over on Dawny's blog for our Papertake Weekly challenge and fell in love with hers, and I was lucky enough to have the day off, so I could immediately start on one of these frame cards. You can find the pictorial on how to make one yourelf right HERE. It was put together by our very own talented Claudia for a previous Patertake Weekly Challenge.

I tried so hard to show you the dimension of this with the camera, but I really couldn't capture it very well. The Magnolia house is in a frame that is recessed a full 1/2" from the front of the card. The effect in real life is awesome! I used three different Magnolia stamps which came from Magnolia-licious. I used Waiting Tilda, Large Sled, and #9 house. They're colored with Copic markers and then cut out. The DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. On the house, I added some liquid applicque and some beads for some sparkle. Around the edge of the frame, I added a border made with a Martha Stewart punch, and in the corners, I hid the meeting points with a MS snowflake punch adorned with a Kaiser pearl.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it, and I'd love it if you would try one for yourself. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Big hugs!

Wags N Whiskers Challenge #4

Good morning and happy Friday! This week went WAY too fast for me as I had the week off. Now it's back to reality and work on Monday. Oh well...it let's me buy more playthings, right? With today being Friday, that means it's time for a new challenge at the Wags N Whiskers challenge blog. This week, the challenge is from the awesomely talented Jeanette, and she is asking us to use traditional Christmas colors. I chose to use this adorable stamp, Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun. Isn't it adorable?? And she' available right now at Wags N Whiskers!

The quality of these stamps are truly remarkable!!! The deep etched rubber makes a fabulous impression! I stamped it with Memento ink and then colored it with Copic markers (pic below for markers used). I also used some white fun fluff on the hats and the snow. I love adding fun texture to my cards, and the grandkids love the feel of it too. I also used a word circle stamp from The Cutting Cafe' called Merry Christmas. It's a huge word circle that comes with different sayings to put inside it. I down sized it just a bit to make it fit the way I wanted to. That's the amazing thing about Regina's digital images. You can resize them to whatever you need for the moment. I love it!!! I just used the outside word circle this time, and cut it out with circle Nestabilities.

Added a nice big red silk bow along with a gorgeous snowflake charm that came from Lacey at Stamp and Create. Oh, and I used one of my new Martha Stewart border punches. Isn't it cool looking? The papers I used are Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzil.

That's about it for this card! Please be sure and join us over at the Wags N Whiskers challenge blog and play along with us! The only stipulation is that you must use a Wags N Whiskers image to win. So if you don't have any of the images yet, then what in the heck are you waiting for?? Just go HERE and have fun shopping! Papertake Weekly

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! Hope you're having a wonderful week, and to my friends in the US, If your anything like me, you're busy getting ready for a fiest on Thursday. For the Papertake Weekly challenge this week, the fabulous Dawny has asked us to make a favorite Christmas card, and it's being sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp!! I know I've said it before, but I truly love gingerbread peeps! It's one of my favorite holiday symbols. So when Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' came out with this ADORABLE cutting file Gingerbread Boy or Girl, I thought I was just going to jump through the roof! Is this not the cutest card??? And Regina makes it so easy for you! If you have a cutting machine, you can just use the wpc file and your machine will cut it right out. If you don't, just use your handy dandy pair of scissors and cut it out yourself. Either way, it makes the most adorable shaped card, don't you think?? I used Bazzil carstock for the base, PTI polka dot paper for the gingie, and more Bazzil for the decorations. The only thing I used that isn't included in the set is the Martha Stewart snowflake and a rain dot in the center of it. Oh, and a little ribbon too. So please pop over to Papertake Weekly and join in on the fun with us. You could win a fabulous prize from Simon Says Stamp. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

BBTB - Cornucopia challenge

Well, the weekend is over and hope you had a fabulous one! And that means it's time to reveal a new challenge for Bitten By The Bug. This week, our hostess is the amazingly talented Donna Mundinger. If you have not visited Donna's blog, you are missing out! This girl is so talented with the Cricut and the Design Studio Software! She constantly amazes the heck out of me!! Well, this week, Donna challenged us to use the Cornucopia from Paper Doll Dress Up. Oh sheesh...the cornucopia...the horn of plenty.....Now.... no offense Donna, but I have always hated cornucopias. LOL! I don't know why, I just don't like them. And had it not been for this challenge, I would never have cut it. Never. LOL! So I did my best, but what can I say. I don't like it. I didn't want to do the typical fruit in it, so I played around a little, and of course the cornucopia represents things being "plentiful". So I wanted to with everyone a season full of love, So I filled mine with hearts.

Now even though I don't like the cornucopia, I have to say though, that I enjoyed the heck out of myself making it! Why?? Because this entire card was made using my brand new Gypsy!!! I'm so excited to have one of these machines that I can hardly stand it! So I've got most of my cartridges loaded onto it, and I am amazed at how much I love this little machine! No more searching through handbooks, no more changing cartridges. This thing is fantastic!!! And it's available right now over at Hallmark Scrapbook! The shaped card and the frames were cut using the Gypsy and A Child's Year cartridge. This is quickly becoming my favorite cart for frames. It's amazing! The hearts were cut using Plantin Schoolbook. The paper used was Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzil. I got a little irked with the hearts cause I used a coordinating orangish paper from the same pack of Basic Grey, but for some reason, it photographed pinkish, and I could not photoshop it to the true color, no matter what I did. I used some white chalk ink around the edges of the black frames. That's it for this card. Simple, easy, and I'm really glad it's done. LOL! Please be sure and pop over to Bitten By The Bug to check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the team. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! hugs!

You're Tea-riffic featuring 60's Magnolia Tilda

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! This is one of the Magnolia-licious raining cards I sent out last month and never posted. Both of these stamps are from the Yummy For Your Tummy collection that is available right now at Magnolia-liciouss! I used #385 60's Tilda and #627 tea cup all colored with Copic markers. The circles were cut out with Nestabilities and I did some machine stitching as well as some faux stitching. I cut the hanger off the tea pot charm and glued it to the center of the word circle which was created on the computer. Added some silk ribbon with a big old button, and this one was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! HUGS!

WOOHOO!!! Wags N Whiskers !!!!!!

I get to share my exciting new with you now! WOO HOO!!! I was invited to join the design team for Wags N Whiskers! Can I just tell you how excited, honored, and humbled I was to receive that email from Lacey?? The design team they have put together is amazing, and I'm still pinching myself about being asked to join them! If you haven't seen this ADORABLE line of stamps, you've got to go check them out. It is a line of stamps designed after the children of the two co-owners of Wags N Whiskers stamps - Lacey Stephens and Nikki Fairbairn, and drawn by the fantastically talented Chrissy Armstrong. And oh my gosh, they are the cutest!!!! Now not only are Nikki and Lacey the co-owners, but they are also amazing crafters that I have followed and adored their work for a long time!! How lucky am I????

The challenge this week on the Wags N Whiskers challenge blog was issued by Nikki. She is asking everyone to use buttons along with your Wags N Whiskers stamp. For my debut card, I just HAD to choose this adorable stamp, Super Ryan. Isn't he CUTE?? He reminds me soooo much of my two oldest Grandsons, JJ and Chris! I colored him up with Copic markers (pic below) The DP is by 3bugs in a rug and cardstock is Bazzil. If you look close enough, you'll see I put a little border strip of stars on there (cause my Grandboys will always be the stars in my life), courtesy of Martha, and then I wrapped some PTI twine around a couple times before tying it off. The sentiment was cut from the DP and mounted on foam squares for dimension. The buttons were just from my stash.
That's it for my card today. Please do yourself a big favor and check out the FABULOUS creations the rest of the design team cooked up for you this week. Splendiferous talent, I'm tellin' ya! And then please go check out these adorable stamps! We would truly love it if you would join us at the challenge blog and link your Wags N Whiskers card. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today to help me celebrate my good news. I so appreciate all your support and comments. You are truly appreciated more than you will ever know, and your support really touches my heart. Happy Friday my friends, and I sure hope to see you back again soon! Big hugs!!
